Hear music. Marissa villhauer and her mother cindy moved into this apartment more than ten years ago. And ever since theyve heard music. But theres no radio on, and the music definitely isnt coming from them. They tracked it to this door, which leads to a back apartment. But the door is sealed shut. 38 37i would hear radios at night and stuff, so i told the landlord, i said, theres radios going on back there. Hes like nah nah, and i said no really. So, they checked it out. No one was back there, theres not even electricity in that room. So, they checked it out. No one was back there, theres not even electricity in that room. The music, lamps falling over, and unexplained knocking. All drove villhauer to reach out to Scott Johnston and cedar rapids paranormal. The Team Investigates hauntings all across eastern iowa. Searching for proof of the paranormal. Investigations arent out to prove they exist. 54 24were not here to actucally hunt for spirits, were here to get answers and validation for clients who contact us with real issues. It starts with an interview, then an overnight stay. Johnston and his team spend a lot of time listening, walking the home, and trying to communicate with a wide variety of equipment. 56 30whether it was footsteps, slamming doors, things moving, voices, i wanted to have something in our kit to be able to pull out and say okay we have something o matter what it is. That means electromagne tic field detectors, night vision cameras, motion detectors, voice recorders, and theyre favorite the sls camera. 59 47if it senses anything in the atmosphere as it bends around a 3d grid that it interprets as a human form, it will map it as a stick figure. You can see a stuffed bear laced with sensors sitting on the couch. That bear is used to communicate with the paranormal, it talk when something gets near it. If you look near the top of the couch, you will see a figure appear. You can see its arms and legs moving johnstons team shortly, it turns toward it. Moves down near it. Touches it, and vanishes. Johnston said this is one of the more rare cases a client has contacted him about. 4 16she said that theyre little girl was getting up in the middle of the night and clawing at the plaster in her room. She said that she was being told by two this. The family had the child psychiatrically evaluated, and she passed. After ruling that out, they took the case. This is another video from that home. Heres johnston sitting in the master bedroom, and heres a camera sitting outside the door. When you place them side by side, you can see what happens in real time. Johnston said these doors were latched. And suddenly something happens. 10 26the people that contact us, homeowners and businesses they believe that what theyre experiencing is very very real. Are real to them in terms of how it affects them. Its affecting their lives, its affecting their children, its affecting their family lives, their sleep. Johnston says he understands why others wouldnt believe, but he asks them to consider one thing. 11 26would we go through the trouble of going to a clients location, sometimes driving four to six hour round trips, motel rooms, gas, all this equipment, setting it up, doing the long investigation work, unbelievable hours of evidence review, coming fee, would we really do that to only play those clips to say heres this ghost sound. As for villhauer and her mom, they havent seen the evidence yet, but she knows one thing is for sure. 42 00brea so, you think theyre ghosts . Marissa yeah, oh yeah they are. Theyre spirits for sure. Also eliminate the onside kick, a strategy the cyclones employed twice on saturday versus kansas state. Tv9s John Campbell has more. Trailing kansas state by five points with 51 seconds to go the clones onside kick by cole neten was no surprise. And stil, it almost worked. Inches. It is what is. It is inches. I am not mad at cole netten. Man, great play great effort. But their first the day was a different story. I think it was huge. I think it was the biggest play of the game. It came on the opening play of the second half. Onside kick cyclones it was number 41,chris francis who kicked it and recovered it. We had said all week we were going to do it no matter what the score was to start the second half. This was my first tiime running it. We have it in the game plan lots of times. He called me into the Coaches Office and said, im good. I am ready to go. Chris francis is a sophomore who prepped at dbq hempstead. His background, his story is so inspirational to and see him have a successful year that he has had and just seeing it happen really swung the momentum towards us. Indeed, the francis kick and recovery paid off because 8 plays later jacob park hit deshaunte johnes for the cyclone is really good at what he does. So did the fans at jack trice stadium. This is John Campbell reporting. So did the cyclones fans on saturday. From jack trice stadium, John Campbell kcrg tv9 sports. Jc tv9 and im joined right now by Scott Dochterman from the land of 10 for the sunday night spotlight. Scott, the hawkeyes had a bye week, but earlier t talk with the coordinators, greg davis and phil parker. I want to start with davis. He talked about the trust that c. J. Beathard had with Wide Receivers like tevaun smith and henry kriegercoble. Is it really that simple with beathard and the young receivers right now . There is some truth to that. Youre talking about an offense that relies heavily on side adjustments. Figure out which foot is the defensive back measured with and which way do you go. So it does take some time to figure that out. We saw some novice plays that they maegainst wisconsin that probably an older receiver wouldnt have made. I think thats part of it right now for this passing offense. And you had an article recently about the 2013 signing class. Iowa went heavily at wide receiver signing about six guys, and right now only two are left in matt vandeberg, whos now a running back. What does that say about the development. Yes, there are still some young receivers, but it has to be a concern right now. It does. And you look at the attrition rate, back in 2012 they had seven touchdown passes and 10 yards per completion. So they went really heavy and three of their guys transferred and another guys a running back. Theres just really hasnt been any consistency at the position. And those guys are now your juniors phil parker. We talked about the adjusments they made with the run defense. It was horrendous at the beginning of the year, but it really improved in the last three games. Yea, and it seems apparent to me what they did was they just became more intense. And i know that sounds simple. But you look at the way Jaleel Johnson played before the minnesota week and then the minnesota week and beyond; he went from being a guy that youre wondering what hes doing to a guy whos a first team allbig ten caliber athlete. Then you look at the same way, the wa different in the last few weeks. And i think thats something we expected from them that they hadnt quite done. And thats why i give them a punchers chance in a lot of these games. They have to go to penn state under the lights. The nittany lionis have won four straight, including a win over ohio state and then they scored 62 points on purdue. Whats changed at penn state . They had real good position players last year; chris godwin the very best running back in the league, but i think it starts at quarterback with trace mcsorley whos a dual threat guy. Hes taken care of the ball with 12 touchdowns and just three interceptions. Talent wise, theyre still not as deep as they should be or would normally be because of all the sanctions. But i think theyre getting close. Scott dochterman kind enough to join us for the sunday night spotlight. Well be right back stay with tv9. C. J. Fiedorowicz had just two touchdowns. He already has two this year. Today against the lions, fiedorowicz caught his 3rd touchdown of the season in the first quarter. 6yard score. He finished the day with five catches for 43 yards. Texans won 2013 former Hawkeye Adrian clayborn. 3rd quarter, he sacks Aaron Rodgers which forced the packers to punt. But he wasnt done, later in the 3rd, clayborn brings down rodgers again. He finished with two sacks as the falcons won the game 3332. Staying with the packers and falcons. 4th quarter action, former Hawkeye Mike Daniels collects a sack of his own as he pushes the offensive lineman back with ease. Thats his 2nd of the season. Jets and the browns. All over the field today for cleveland. He shoots through the gap and gets a tackle for a loss. That was one of a teamhigh 12 tackles. Browns lost though, 3128. Former Hawkeye Adam Woodbury was selected in the first round of the nba dleague draft today. The maine red claws took him with the 20th overall pick, but his draft rights were traded to the fort wayne mad ants. Theyre the affiliate of the indiana pacers. Tomorrow for on iowa live, and, the mount vernonlisbon boys and monticello girls Cross Country teams will be there. Of course, well have writers pat harty and scott doctherman. Thanks josh.
