They filed a police report. And now Aurora Police are investigating. We have the story youll see only here. The parents are frustrated and really furious. Their son never lived outside of a hospital. Born in montana with a torn bowel. He was sent to the Childrens Hospital in aurora. When he was two days old. About 3 weeks into the stay his parents noticed his leg was bruised and cried when it was touched. Photographs show one month old. Wearing a splint on his right leg. From a spiral fracture. That his parents say happened after the one month old boy arrived at Childrens Hospital. You think a nurse or doctor accidently handled your son too rough. That could have happened. They are the only people with contact with him. Even if it was an accident. They could have reported it. Larry and britney say their two day old son was air lifted to Childrens Hospital. From montana. For surgery to repair a torn bowel. Standard procedure for admitting hospitals to examine a new patient. And review medical history. The boys parents say no spiral fracture was mentioned then. Legs were fine. But by early august the couple did notice something. That concerned them. I noticed thr fs a bruise on his leg. And my husband noticed there was something wrong. He wasnt moving it. They had several doctors come in. To look at his leg. Just fine. Its okay. Well i notic he touched it he started shaking. To me that means theres pain. Discomfort. I feel like they ignored my wife and me. Two days before the parents noticed the leg swelling. They asked for a nurse to no longer treat their bib by. They felt she was too rough. And a few days later they asked another doctor to no longer be a part of the treatment team. Because of miscommunication issues. Then august 8. Larry was given a behavioral contract. Thats basically the hospital if he gets belligerent with staff. I did get upset. Do you think the behavioral contract is retaliation. For you speaking out. I believe so. 3 days later. An xray obtained by the problem solvers confirmed lt broken leg. Even more worrisome. The radiologist refers to the fractures. Raising concern for nonaccidental trama. Somebody manipulated the bone. Twisted the leg. They didnt know how it happened. And would look into it. The parents immediately called police. To investigate. And hireed an attorney. Who already filed a notice of intent to sue the hospital. Obviously theres egg on their face. Theres more to it than that. We need to know what happened. In a statement it says. I think its outrageous. Parents if anyone ought to have a voice for their child. They are the voice. Spit in my for standing up for my child. We should point out Childrens Hospital claims it cant talk because of hipa the parents were willing to sign a waiver. And already under gone a pally graph test. We dont know the results.
