About 300 marches moved down broadway to protest Police Brutality and the recent shooting of an unarmed black man in ferguson, missouri. People have to be accountable. You cant just kill people in the street like dogs. Sky 7hd showed the crowd moving down the freeway. They were met by a blockade of police in riot gear. The march was stopped leaving many demonstrators angry. This is the kind of stuff that makes protests go the wrong way. The people dont get violent. The police get violent. It is 6 30 and the crowd has turned around heading back to oakland city hall. As you can see the Oakland Police are not far behind. The mother of oscar grant shot by a bart Police Officer in 2009 spoke to the crowd saying ferguson has left her shattered. With ferguson, my heart sank again. Another senseless killing and another cover up scheme again trying to demonize the young man. He was on the move through the streets. Police Controlling Traffic to keep the group safe. Hundreds of protestors and police are still out on the streets, but they have not seen the level of clashing we have seen the past several nights. Toman bradley is in ferguson with a look at the latest effort to ease the tension. Behind closed doors they will represent the fate of Darrin Wilson who shot and killed the unarmed teen. We will have absolutely everything there is. Every piece of paper and every photograph and every bit of physical evidence. The prosecuting attorney does not expect a decision from the grand jury until midoctober. They want to see wilson arrested immediately. The Police Union Says it is too soon to pass judgment on officer wilson. He has beenville fight in the been villa fight by the media and politician. Before the shooting the patrolman suffered a serious facial injure tree and this new video could be a key to his defense. Witnesses heard browns shot as he went toward wilson. Other witnesses say brown was moving away from the officer and then turned to face wilson with his hands up. The attorney general is closely monitoring the investigation. He went for meetings with local officials and residents. There is a calming influence on the area. Everyone here is bracing for a late night of demonstrations and there is rain in the area. Johnson met with the family of Michael Brown and says he knows how browns father feels. He is angry. He is hurt. Like i shared with them, i understand the anger and i understand the hurt. But there is total lack of trust. There has been no accountability. The community doesnt feel that locally they can get any real justice. The grand jury investigation is just Getting Started and it could take several months. Police in salinas are releasing video in the hopes that someone will help them solve what officers are calling one of the most brutal murders they have ever seen. Dont worry. We wont show you the worst of it. Two men tried to rob a Convenience Store on friday night. One got angry and shot a 62yearold woman. The same man shot the clerk and another woman before both beat the victims with their guns. The first woman was killed. The second is in crit cat condition. Critical condition. The clerk is recovering from his injuries. Police are asking witnesses or minute who may recognize these guys to please come forward. We are learning more about a potential ebola case. The person returned to california earlier this month after traveling to west africa. The patient is considered low risk and being tested and treated in isolation at kaiser permanente. The risk to others is minimal. The risk of ebola transmission in california is very low. Steps are being taken to keep california safe. The Medical Center says it is taking measures to protect staff. The body of a man found today in Kings Canyon National park has been identified as a missing bay area teacher. 46yearold gregory mucks family reported him missing when he failed to report on sunday. A park Service Official says muck appears to have fallen in rocky and steep terrain. The teacher was an experienced backpacker and he had been hiking alone for a week in Kings Canyon National park. Arvin nelson is still underway. Nelson who is from big sur went on an eightday backpacking trip along the central coast. He is an experienced hiker, but exploring the forest he never hiked before. When he did not return home nelsons friends reported him missing. The end of the work day brought a shock to those return together Lafayette Bart station. It was a fire that started in the hood of the lexus and then damaged five cars total. These people will not be happy. Three cars charred. Firefighters were called around 2 00 to the upper Lafayette Bart parking lot. The fire started under the hood of the lexus and then quickly spread to four other vehicles. Most of them luxury vehicles. A bmw, acura and an audii. It can burn because of the amount of plastics. The gas and the oil and the engine. The suv was also damaged. Because of the high heat that melted some of the plastic. Bart riders who parked in the same lot were stunned and relieved finding their cars untouched. Thats pretty crazy. This is shocking.
