We started hearing that bart management was going to offer a new proposal to the unions to consider. And about 45 minutes ago both sides left the building and would not say the proposal was given. The mediator in these negotiations have asked both sides to stay silent. They are expected to be here at 9 30 in the morning. They are expecting an offer from management. We do expect a proposal from the district. It can be forthcoming actually as we speak. So bargaining is still active and happening. They have proven to be the biggest news of the day. It is one of the few things both sides agree on. I think it has been good for the unions because they get to address her directly. They have to explain to her their feelings and concerns and explain their proposals. The fact that she does rec cog noise she could be here is does recognize she could be there is good. What has made the attendance more significant is she has spent the day talking with the unions, but she hasnt offered any deals. Basically she is in a lining mode. The other in a listening mode. There is a sizable contingent of officials. Thats a welcome addition for unions, but not much for the bart negotiator. Hearing all of this and i just personally dont view it and in other states where i see the same thing i say it has never turned out to be positive. Bart trains are running through the weekend as the negotiations continue, but they have given notice that if a deal is not hammered out they will hit the picket line common day morning. There are the signature foster farm chickens and the row ties rechicken soup and chicken leg quarters and the salad are subject to the recall. They were sold to customers at the costco store on El Camino Real between september 11th and september 23rd. The salmonella sout break outbreak is still growing. There are now 317 cases in 20 states as well as puerto rico. The reported cases are here in california. It is not just foster farms you need to look out for. You will find it under see it on tv. There are new security measures in place at San Francisco General Hospital after a missing patient was found dead in a stirwell two weeks later. She disappeared on september 21st from her room. She was found in a rarely used stirwell this tuesday, 17 days after she disappeared. In response, Hospital Security will now check all stirwells every day and must check the fire escapes when a door alarm sounds. Restaurants in berkeley thought it was part of doing business. You know the bus fare and the Living Expenses and for this guy to come in. He has been coming in and robbion robbing stores for several months. Several of the countrys most visited landmarks will reopen despite the government shutdown. South dakota, new york and arizona have agreed with the National Park service to reopen mount mount rushmore, the statue of liberty and the grand canyon. Each state will pay the parks daily operating costs. California has decided against using state money to reopen the parks like yosemite. Negotiations on the budget and debt ceiling are expected to continue through the weekend fnlt in six days the u. S. John boehner offered a plan to raise the debt limit through late november to give more time to negotiate a broader budget deal. The president turned it down. Five women were killed in may when the limo they were riding in caught fire and they couldnt escape. Prior to the pass teg of this bill passage of this bill, they had one exit for escape. The new law goes into affect for newly built limos. For those already built they must be in compliance by january of 2016. When alcohol is involved, people may try to climb out of hatches and pop out windows. We have had several situations where people climb out of one sunroof and then they walk on the roof where the vehicle is doing the 70 or 80 miles an hour and they are walking on the other sunroof. They say the lead endangers wildlife. The man arrested for beating an envelope stars son could face charges now that the boy has died. Patterson is in jail on aggravated assault of the 2yearold son running back of adrian peterson. It happened at his mothers home in south dakota. She was not there at the time. The boy died today.
