And it's President City Councilman Steve filling in for today I understand Ray's going under the knife later today we wish him well he's been blasting that all over Facebook said he's been a little nervous so. Today I'm joined today by raising executive producer and news junkie extraordinary Michael Reed we got all kinds of stuff to talk about how you do is do you know I'm doing good Michael welcome to the show. Everything's good. For days now you can't eat anything right and I'm starving. Painful to be in that spot right there I can barely go I can barely miss one meal Michael Sam here in the I'm already looking forward to lunch but there's lots to talk about there's all kinds of things happen Santa Claus Is Coming To Town that's right for. The nicest thing that's been called in a long time yeah for sure so. Looks like he's coming to California hypothetical pitstop in Fresno the Sacramento Bee and our local paper are reporting right. We don't know 100 percent if he's come into Fresno but we do know that he's making his 1st trip to California he's the 1st president since Roosevelt I think that has not come to California in their 1st year is that right yeah so he waited over a year I think I think probably most of our Sacramento leadership were probably OK with that probably he waited until there was a war brewing and now he's coming so there's leadership right and actually you know what to be honest with you that to me that sounds very Trump ask right you know yeah wait till the stakes are high just jump in the middle of jump in the middle of it so we know he's coming to San Diego and here's the here's the she coming to check out the 8 prototypes of the border wall that's right and so he's coming to San Diego he's going to do a big fundraiser in Beverly Hills I guess he owns a home there and so he hasn't even come to that home in over a year but he's going to have a big fundraiser in Beverly Hills and go visit the border wall prototypes and I think that is Mexico's still going to pay for that wall Michael I'm pretty sure they're going to pay for it right one way or another One way or the right so so so he's coming to a sanctuary state to view the prototypes of a border wall isn't that fantastic sweet after sending in his Attorney General this last week and declaring that the feds are going to sue the state of California for their sanctuary state builder sanctuary state and city status that's right he said Bring it on yeah well I'll tell you Jerry Brown and Kevin Daley on some of these others are also saying Bring it on right and so I think it's going to go I think we're in for some lively times here in California I think this is great for talk radio oh yeah you got your guys whole formats laid out for months to come pretty much pretty yeah yeah Kevin Daly on said Bring it on you're going to get you're going to get a taste of California justice which whatever that you look at what in the heck does that mean cow. I know you're just as I don't know they're going to give you some pot I don't even know they're going to give some pot call a good Yeah let's all mellow out and do yoga right that you'll get it figured out but you know they're taking the Donald pretty intensely there are the mayor of Oakland is saying how dare you and in my opinion she's putting the citizens of the state of California at risk because she is warning people when ISIS come in right so in the past it's been we're not going to cooperate with ice and now it's we're going to actively work against ice right and so I think they've all kicked it up a notch so it's going to be amazing to watch this roll out at this this battle I don't know what the time frame for when the lawsuit kicks in if you heard anything about that. I think it was assigned to a court and I think they're going to start hearing the case here in like 2 months or something like that and the last I read was. Jeff Sessions is going to attempt to to a fast track this up to the Supreme Court get into the 9th let them rule against and as we know they will right actually how long and I'm surprised they haven't already Yeah and then let's let's let's just push this up to the Supreme Court and get it settled so that's the that's the last thought I've heard and what what is amazing watching all of this unfold here in the state of California to me is this is very similar to what has been happening with North Korea which we're going talk about a little bit today as well there was this ramping up on both sides or is rhetoric on both sides there was this saber rattling going on for what 9 months or something almost a year and then what happens we get an announcement yesterday all the final going to come and sit down and talk right yeah it's and I I see something like that happening here in California I think they're going to have to sit down at some point and have a meeting you know it really gets back to Trump's art of the deal right he waits till the stakes are high and then you cut a deal and so I think that that's what's happening in North Korea I agree with you hypothetically that could be the pathway for California but you know reality trumps got a deal on the table right now and I've been on Twitter with this with some of my Democrat friends some of my farmer friends some of my local people that take me on almost every tweet is that there's a deal on the table it's pretty well defined and neither side is super happy with it and both sides get something out of it trumps put the deal on the table but I think that now we're seeing that the Democrats and here's here's my view to all of our former friends that are listening to came Jay today because they pound away on this issue but right now the Democrats are the ones they don't want to take the deal they want it they want their cake and eat it too so all these immigration complaints all of these complaints about workers in the field it's the Democrats that are now not willing to go to the table and as much as we'd like to. Blame Trump he's got to he's got a deal he's got a deal to be taken and you know what Michael it's a deal that a lot of conservatives like me would not my deal but at the same time it's a deal and I think we're going to see that North Korea as well but you know what it's not their deal on immigration right now it's the Trump administration's deal on the table so. I don't I'm not I'm not a 10 foil hat where all right but I've been watching politics long enough we have midterms coming up OK yeah both parties have a strategy for midterms and I always try to think well what would be the strategy of the Conservative party to to make a deal well to make a deal on immigration actually get immigration reform it's going to look great for them going in into November in the midterms now let's look at the other side of the aisle of Democrats if they make a deal the conservatives take the thunder for it they get all the credit for it so what can they do to make sure that that their party is is firmed up going into the midterms yet all you can do is fight it you have to fight it until you put your deal up fight until you put your deal up so if the so it's kicking the can down the road so anybody that's interested in good governance you just described how this can is going to most likely be kicked down the road until somebody else can put their stamp on the deal right exactly instead of being responsible to your to your constituents from wherever you come from assent to being a responsible politician and not play politics make a deal make a deal sit down and sit down with each other or talk it through make a deal a deal can be had right because certainly as most conservatives are a little queasy about everything that Trump has offered right he increased the numbers of people that would be essentially granted amnesty I mean he even took the numbers higher than Barack Obama was talking about and so I think the conservatives are thinking this is not a great deal I know that people on the left are thinking it's not a great deal but what do people expect. Are we just going to continue to live in this quagmire of misery that is U.S. Immigration policy right with all of the different problems associated with including getting workers into the fields of California so there's a lot of stuff going on and I keep I've heard for years you know the Republicans aren't doing anything about immigration policy the Republicans are dragging their feet now there's a deal on the table and now everybody goes quiet exactly also that this is been going on for decades going on for a long time this isn't something that just came up when we're not Donald Trump was elected president everyone knows that this is a real mess but I think just like everything. I guess it was 14 months ago 15 months ago when Trump got elected everybody got triggered so it's all about trust now do we have a call OK yeah that's right Hey folks if you want to join in on the conversation you can do so at any time for I know 5858 or if you're from outside the area or just want to ring up our phone bill 87765858 manual you're on the line what do you think Welcome to reopen Joe. Thank you gentlemen very much and thank god it's friday is not the truth. And no rain maybe tomorrow Sunday and next week I hope so the rain and the snow come you bet. In the in the discussion of immigration this is and a deal for the last 3 presidents it's been a disaster and the same most of the time and bars producing the same bill. And in the good luck bill that's out there the 411 pages does not address the problems at all it creates more of a of a disaster and the and the good bill was never really sat down with with a many of the people that live and do this stuff from the construction industry to agriculture I've been at it for a long time and I've been in good let's office I didn't wear fish a mr fish and those guys and and George and all those cars that say well this is what we're going to do and so we mean it doesn't work that way you can't do that so they say OK well we'll think about your ideas and they never ever happen it's the same oh bills that have come on when you have suddenly go from a 47 page document to forn and 11 within 2 and a half weeks in the way you address DACA in the kids parents of Dhaka shows that know there's only an appeasement and you can't just do one industry agriculture is the most vulnerable of all because of her civility we understand that but we have a lot of workers here to be Yooper 2030 years and the only thing that they could do is to give them work authorization would solve a lot of problems which we need and it would manual it would not now what what what was in place before dop in Dhaka was put in place by former President Obama through executive order what what what program was in place prior to that there was nothing in place until the only time anything ever came into place under immigration law was the $96.00 law that was that you sign up by April 15th in $96.00 you had to pay a $1000.00 if you were here which we refer to as a $245.00 all right which allowed you to into the Titian person and then you could go out of the country come back for your for your interview you know just your interview sure that was the only time any immigration was ever done and nothing since then but I do know that when Ronald Reagan signed her card and a lot he said it very clearly in the Rose Garden. I'm signing this is today is the beginning of immigration reform but you as a Congress are going to have to deal with this continuously and then whatever right nothing has ever been done since then yes assent Yes I think that's the main part of the problem since he has the right you know as a conservative manual I try talk to people about Ronald Reagan all the time but these young kids they don't know Ronald Reagan that's been a long time right and so yes the godfather of least common sense yes but it's been what 2530 years or so years 30 years ago nothing done nothing done. For getting political the elections and all that both parties are at serious point here both parties busy are I agree Now how do we move forward on that front did not create this mess today well thank you for that because there are a lot of people are are triggered by Trump's presidency and they're making it sound as if he's the worst guy on the planet I think he's honestly trying to bring us to he's bringing bringing the country to a boiling point on this topic so that hypothetically we could have a deal that would at least settle this issue after 30 years at least I believe Reagan will it's probably something we'll always be working on but we've really got ourselves in a jam now neither side is happy all kinds of problems arise from our immigration policy you are completely tied to one of our main problems which is safe working environment for for workers that work in the United States and don't have to fly under the radar and a lot of good people by the way which I agree with you on that and yet people live in fear. Criminals get a free pass I've got to study I've got a report here manual from the border patrol where they're happening to rearrest people over and over again because they keep getting let out through the current system. So that's right what a manual it's great to be our 1st caller What are some of your ideas that you think everybody could agree on. I think people can agree on that if you took the work force here and you put them into work authorization to pay $1000.00 a 1000000 people that are currently working to get their work authorization it's called Employment work authorization 3 years after that you didn't apply for a 10 year work authorization now this is for residency don't worry about anything else because under laws those things are taken care of so now the 8000000 people become in the 3rd year the 3rd year of the program you pay $1500.00 for your 10 year Work Authorization Card which is the resident alien card that's $12000000000.00 you have $8000000000.00 from before you have 12000000000 is 20000000000 dollars in 4 years that you've collected from the people that are working in our businesses and in our agriculture and the 2nd thing that must stop of this is these 5 audits on businesses they are not the criminals go get those people as the border said the criminal aliens that we're having the lead of are out of our jails early enough because we're overcrowding get rid of those people stop the ice on it's on businesses they are not the criminals Well you're hurting the people that feed the world build the right places right serve the restaurants menu manually do you think that of California had not taken the stand that is taken by declaring itself a sanctuary state and then the sanctuary cities basically poking a stick at the federal government in same Trius. Absolutely maybe cause that maybe maybe this would not be happening. Absolutely they did that in their marijuana thing just for your listeners to understand the marijuana if you work in a marijuana farm a greenhouse a new package the product if you are a resident alien or you're tempted to become a doctor you will be disclosed because you will have now learned a felony and you are now going to be excluded from everything always there as it is going to become Yes understood federal law you're going to be removed a mistake by this government and if we win the stuck our nose let the I've never had an ice audit letter ever be published for everybody to see right because the workers are seeing that mirror and they're running a man a manual fantastic 1st call Yeah for a Friday programming I want to stay over for the for the for the break Mannion because I have 2 more questions for you can you stay on. You know Leon I apologize for my. Not a problem manual everybody we're going to take our 1st commercial break when we come back we're going to continue our conversation my green Fresno City Council Misty Brandow and Michael good. The rise of e-commerce is making traffic congestion even worse here's an innovative possible solution I'm just called in a Fortune magazine with the Fortune Business Update as e-commerce continues to expand deliveries are expected to double to 25000000000 annually in the U.S. Within 10 years but delivery trucks are already choking city streets and adding strain to overburdened highways and Atlanta based startup called Road he thinks it has an answer paying drivers were going someplace anyway to take a package with them the system requires heavy duty software to match up drivers and shipments but Rhodey is already up and working the company says it can deliver packages more cheaply and with less environmental impact than traditional shipping by U.B.S. And Fed Ex shippers can be giant companies or individuals Rody keeps 20 percent of what it charges and gives the rest of the driver road he has at least one strong vote of confidence one of its investors is U.B.S. Detail gray adult in the News Talk 581059 K. M. J. . And if there's a city council city Brandow filling in for Ray today I've got Michael Reed in the studio with me on the phone with manual the nice a farmer's league we're talking Dhaka amnesty immigration in the next hour we have Sheriff Mims on the on the line with us she just recently did a FOX interview where she stood up for law enforcement being able to communicate with each other and of course she's talking about local law agencies like her sheriff's office with the federal ICE agents so we'll hold that part of the conversation right now we're talking with manual Konya we're talking about the deal and I use that quote in quotation marks the deal that Trump has on the table for discussion which included you know Doc a version of amnesty for about $1800000.00 folks and it also brought up the subject of the lottery program in chain chain migration and so a lot of a lot of parts to the deal but in my opinion since Trump made that offer it looks to me like it's the Democrats that are pulling back Michael you brought up a great reason why that might be happening right we're going into midterms they probably would rather put a stamp on something that they came up with right so they want to claim were rejecting Trump's deal but here's our deal and so we're playing footsie once again manual in has called in graciously talked about Ronald Reagan 30 years ago and yet nothing didn't nothing's been done since that time so manual I wanted to ask you a couple questions about the current Trump deal the exchange of amnesty for a certain amount of Dockery's recipients and dreamers and and the chain migration and some of the other components of the Trump deal is there anything in there that you see is just a deal breaker from the folks that you hang out with and talk to. Well I think what I would have loved to see is the president open up his door to the real people that know this issue on a daily basis for example San Joaquin Valley serve of our mayors serve all of our businesses OK some walking School of Law Some of the folks that live and do this every day rather than what the president probably did is got people from the parties to come up with a plan that they've been having for whatever OK takes only go from 860000 DACA recipients to 1.8 putting hard to figure out where the one point came from but whatever it is the docket is a very important part of this thing these are kids Number 2 he had a discussion that we would want with the president is that you would make sure that the parents of these kids were also taken care of under a legalization type program OK you cannot have Doc at the kids and now you're going to deport the parents OK where they're going to have to go back for 45 days into their own country that does not exist anymore there's too many problems in all of our countries to send people back specially young kids or moms and dads because of the crime in the drug and just like some of that occurring in our own country. So the next thing is number 2 on the president's list was the wall to build the wall the security of our borders now it was number 2 OK Absolutely we've got secure our borders we believe we have a way that that would be paid for. By the people that are going to apply for work authorization the 8000000 so that's the. Way before we went to break you talked about the potential for the amount of money that would come in to charge each $1.00 of these workers at $1000.00 an issue and then after 3 years when they apply for a 10 year work authorization pass they would do an additional $1500.00 that amount of money you would say that would you would apply that to border security yes and to maybe running the program probably you know but there's $20000000000.00 there. People that are oh yeah manual manual you know. I'm sorry we've come up against a news break here we have to go but you know what that's a that's a lot of money that would build about a half mile of high speed rail track when it go way down here to. See what he did you see what he did manual man there's a manual here's where I don't have Listen here's where I'm at we're going to go to a quick break OK we're going to take a break right now we're going to have a news up break news update from list current. Thank you Steve secretary of state Rex Tillerson is praising the Trump administration's North Korea strategy I think as we've seen in the last 24 hours the policy that was put in place and has been executed by the State Department over the past year has succeeded and we've done that in spite of the fact that we have people serving in acting positions in some cases very little is known about the president's plans to meet the North Korean leader except that the historic moment will happen before May farmer bro Martin scrawly sentenced to 7 years in prison the 34 year old gained notoriety for jacking up the price of a lifesaving anti infection drug by 5000 percent he was convicted in August of lying to investors in his hedge funds and manipulating shares in a retro fren Inc That's the biotech company that he founded over to Wall Street Dow currently up 369 points it's 1131 it came J. Here another very individual right there I want winter I want Christmas I want my lights to come on at 55515520 or whatever I do I like the shorter days during the winter it makes me feel like I get a winner but then I feel the same way in the spring I love it when we get extended evening time allows me to play more golf Michael because I can get out there in the early I can't do morning rounds I can even do I have to start in the late afternoon so probably I'll be able to finish more rounds of golf there you go and so I look forward with so vote that's the question of the day right that's right now dot com All right we are talking. About immigration we we're going to jump into a phone call with Sheriff Mims in the next hour she was just interviewed by Fox News and she talked about supporting ice really the federal agents and at least the ability to communicate between federal age of between federal agencies and local agencies so we're going to hear from her and we're building up to that we're talking about the truck deal on immigration that he's thrown out there which in all reality passed the deadline last week right for the DACA conversation and so it seems that menu called in from the nice a farmer's like I think we're going to have him call back in a minute I think he had to step out and change phones or something like that but really in manual was saying he would have loved to have seen Trump come into town maybe not come into town but meet with leaders from the valley. People from government people from the San Joaquin School of Law He mentioned some business leaders and folks that know this in and out that have to deal with it every day and come up with some in his mind a better policy but you know that's just not Trump style that's just not the way he rolls that's that reminds me Michael of the things that we've been doing for years that have got us anywhere right is conversely Everybody's got an opinion I believe the sides are already drawn Michael I think very little chance that Steve Brando Tea Party Steve is going to change somebody's mind on the other side and I guess they're not going to convince me that amnesty is a great deal because I'm I'm not of amnesty guy Same here so we're in this situation where the sides are drawn I think Trump realizes that and he saying hey if we're really going to do something after all these years then both sides are going to have to give and both sides are going to have to take and and now he's offered a deal that has given taken it and the Dems want the Dems are stepping away from the table to see everybody seems to forget in my opinion that we already have an immigration program in place that's been in place for a long time if you want to become an American citizen and sound like you've never been able to do that before there's always been policies in place and an avenue to do that you apply for it you feel that you know you pay the money if you pay the fees we've we've always had a system for people that want to become American citizens but it's been fraught with problems and that's the part we all have to admit right but so is OK OK I mean the delays the number of delays for people who are applying it's unrealistic in this day and age of the Internet of a smartphone of all of the technology available to us them out of delays If somebody truly wants to take the steps you're talking about and apply the right way how long that's like 10 years OK Well you know it's years before your paperwork is even really. Renewed you have to make family decisions right so there's a loose a lot of problems how long would it take I mean to become a French citizen Oh I don't think they want you who. Say they did I who knows maybe they've got a better path you know in the city of Fresno a lot what makes you think I want them to go oh that's a better quite well and I know now that it it takes about 7 or 8 years because I actually looked into this to make a retiring and buying a place in France somewhere or whatever and retiring now a lot of countries have a real fast way of becoming a citizen of their country deposit a quarter of a $1000000.00 into a bank account that shows that you will never have to rely on that country for any type of health needs or anything else you you want any any type of social services you can sustain yourself there you won't be a burden on that country you'll get that citizenship in 8 months well I like that pathway so do I So what my point is this there are ways to do this and just because somebody says well it takes too long it takes 10 years I'm going to jump the queue no that's wrong and there's only 2 cashiers in the grocery store and the lines are going down the aisle you're not jumping the queue you're going to wait your turn that's just the way it is and now look I know a lot of people out there that think well that's too harsh Well I think we should carve out some exceptions I think in the ag industry we need a guest worker program period period this is way overdue for what we had what in the past several probing exactly right K. To me it's a no brainer just a just a fire some flames into that thing again and light or not let's go let's get a guest worker program for the ag industry no I don't think we should do it for all industries but I think definitely the ag industry carve out the AG in history there you go he examined I think man you would agree with that so I think that's what manuals biggest concern is is the workforce right out there working the crops of the Central Valley which we feed the world right and I have and I've got a lot of Jodelle Bosky I've got a lot of farmer friends that to. Chat with me on the side and I I hear I feel their pain I really do I wish that we did not have such an extensive social service program that we could almost force Americans to go do that work but right now their choices are I I can sit back and watch T.V. All day or go work my length off and they're choosing to watch T.V. All day but that's what you know here's the here's the the benefit and the pain of living in America as a nation that's what we are allowing and I don't agree with it at all but that's what we are allowing and it unfortunately Steber and I was not president we could bring some of that to an end but it's not happening and so I do I I did hear just last week that Donald Trump's talking about instead of food stamps giving out boxes of food that's more along the lines of something that I get to get into Absolutely but we don't have that right now we have a lot of our citizenship who is it feels the exact opposite of me so it's time to strike a deal forward and there there's still issues within the ag industry now with workers number one very aging out right most of the new immigrants coming in really don't want to do that work that's the work now that they don't want to do and so eventually something's going to have to happen in the industry just in my humble opinion you've got to start to mechanize more you've got to come up with a way to where you may not actually have hand labor in the field as much as you do or or have had in the past Michel that's well underway I'll tell you I know I've been watching I've been watching these machines going on and you have a row it's take a trip to the world AG Expo and you can see the machinery as well on its way I mean they do they have tractors that will do some such specific jobs and attachments that will do such specific jobs it's amazing so I do believe that's happening but you know it's moved beyond our ag industry and I think manual pointed out it's our food service you know food service in this country it's construction you have a level. A lot of friends in construction and I rub have conversations rub elbows with developers in the city of Fresno and they have a lot of concerns about the same things as the workers I working in structure I 1st started out I started out in the field as a carpenter worked my way up into the OP Yes I did I OK swimming pool construction while I was there OK When we 1st started out we did a lot of piece work stuff OK we ran framing crews we did cut and stack ropes you know everything was kind of specialized in what you did now I witnessed 1st hand what was going on slowly but surely more immigrants were coming in they were used to making $2.00 an hour whatever sure and they were paying them $7.00 an hour when we were making $161718.00 an hour I'm talking back in the in the late eighty's early ninety's. They were able to come in and just bam cash under the table and eventually it drove the wages down in all of those trades right so the people that were doing that work. Has nothing to do with those of the jobs that they won't do anymore they were find a way to lawyers out and not knocked out of those those jobs because they were willing to do it for much less and do it illegally which is I.E. Not through payroll and here's why which meant the contractors were able to submit their quote to the developer of the owner and have a lower price to make sure that they got the work and once once these contractors caught on to that it it just became a frenzy you saw more and more trades going the way it went from carpentry and went to cement concrete went to landscaping all of roofing siding all of this stuff I washed to come in about 10 years and I bet a lot of supervisors in those trades better be able to speak Spanish or have somebody close by that can write Yeah well yeah yeah yeah sure any better you know the law of unintended consequences Michel something I always look at because now. After decades of allowing that to happen now we are scrambling to build a workforce that can handle these industries even in Fresno and the outlying in the Central Valley there's so much construction going on right now it's hard to find the number of people that we need to do these jobs and I mean there's good money in these jobs well so we're scrambling for work both workforce development programs constantly there was a solid workforce in these in these trades long before and there still is now the only difference as it's flipped it went from American citizens doing the work to a lot of illegal immigrants doing the work in those traits that's the only thing that changed when we had the big housing build back in the back in the ninety's you know certainly I was I was working for one of the nation's largest homebuilders at the time I got to the site and I would look I could tell I could look out across and say Holy mackerel the whole workforce is changed Yes And you know I think that really rubs a lot of people the wrong way I mean a lot of people they want their kids just like I did just like you did we got started for me it was help pay my way through school and do the type of things I needed to do and I think a lot of people are missing out on those an opportunity so hey look we're going to take our next commercial break we're going to be right back Fresno City Council Misty Brando filling in for re-open if you want to be part of the show for now I know 5858 or 187765858 will be right back. He's old yeah that's a one meal thing. So hey the phone number here is 490-5858. 58 or 180-776-5858 we'd love to have you call in we are talking about immigration in the state of California and the nation and we're going to have be joined by Sheriff Margaret Mims in the next hour get ready for that she went on Fox News she's taking a strong bold stand on behalf of Jeff Sessions lawsuit against the state of California one of her things is the miscommunication or the lack of communication between law enforcement agencies is really damaging I just hear a I guess Michael a little over a week ago week and a half ago Oakland Mayor Libby shape when a head and gave a warning that an ICE I don't know if you call it an ICE raid but an ICE raid an ice event was coming straight Yeah we're not afraid of ICE raid right so so that the mayor of Oakland tipped off everybody that there was an ICE raid coming I think probably stop criminals fell through the net right there so she is now actively helping. Potentially helping some criminals avoid capture and detainment and that is completely wrong so we saw the federal government I think that was the straw that broke the camel's back Jeff Sessions came into Sacramento I think he probably had a lot of people to throw rotten tomatoes at him but he came into Sacramento and and said hey we're going to sue this sue the state of California for all of these laws your sanctuary state laws your sanctuary city laws and we've got a phone call coming on right now Michael who's our guest from let's go to John John you're on the reality of show welcome a student great job today Thanks John and. A.J. Sessions and really sit down and Jerry Brown's case yesterday and I'm so glad they are starting to stand up to this guy but my other point was what you were talking about a little while ago in the central valley here we have a huge untapped prison population and we have to have been prisons in the 100 mile radius how come we're not using these. And criminals to do some of this work. Well you know there's there's a there's a criminals or there's a prisoner's Bill of Rights now John there's a lot of things going on there's television Ping-Pong gymnasiums there's a. Right H.B.O. There's a lot of these other valuable things for them to do I don't think you I mean are you suggesting that these folks go out and clean up some of our roadways and do some hard work like they used to do. Absolutely I knew that's where you're going and you know what I really agree with you it's become so hard. To sit back and watch the way that a lot of our prisoners have been placated and to be quite honestly John the problems worse than that our prison system there's a lot of people now that want to release even more criminals we've had Prop 57 Prop 47 that have already released alignment A.B. One o 9 prison alignment we've already had these very damaging strategies coming from Sacramento and yet there are lawmakers who want to release even more so I think that I think that Sessions is on target I think there's a lot of us even within the state of California certainly within the Central Valley that are saying hey you know what I think we kind of hope the feds win this lawsuit right and that's where I'm at and so I'm with you John thanks for call and if you'd like to call like John just did the numbers 490-5858 or 180-776-5855 extension 58 so Jeff Sessions came into town Michael and drew a line in the sand right now so we know what's going to happen some one of our. Folks from the one well work a court is going to step in and put the Bosch on that in and then it's probably going to have to go to the Supreme Court sooner rather than later well there were there were people in law enforcement in the state of California that requested time with him so he came to California they have questions because of what Sacramento has done where they've made they've they've basically tied law enforcement's hands and now business owners if they if they cooperate with ice now according to California you could be arrested by the state of California or a fine or whatever so they're like look we need guidance here and that's why. Jeff Sessions came to California and when one person in that audience we both know Sheriff Mims was their share of memes was there and she addressed this she went on national news so local girl makes a big right big time goes on national news and talks about these very issues which are there's a lot of confusion out there now and really if we get mental Can you back on the line one of these one of these times we're going to ask him about that because even our farmers are living under a state of confusion are ag industries living under a state of confusion they don't want to step across California as line but they don't want to get in trouble with the feds either right that's right is this our final break we're coming up to this is the end of our one already up and you know you made it you know another one all right we're on the back side of this commercial break we're going to be joined by Sheriff Margaret Mims my favorite sheriff and we're going to talk more about this issue of immigration and the federal lawsuit against state of California will be right back.
