Dps is telling us before midnight an audi sedan was traveling and got a flat tire and pulled off on the side of the road. The 22yearold man got out to change the tire. And a 61yearold man in a pickup truck came barreling down the freeway slamming into them. Dps told us the driver stayed on scene but could be facing dui charges. Three people were taken to the hospital with broken bones and are expected to be okay. And sadly, the driver was taken to the hospital and later passed away. I am working sources to try to get names here, especially for the suspect and to see what charges he could be facing. When the 17 southbound reopens. The minute you have an update well stop what were doing and come back to that. A 911 call turns very dangerous for Police Officers who walked right into an attack. They were attacked. They used the robot to go inside of the house and take a look around and where they discovered the individual deceased in an upstairs closet. And you can see bullet holes on the side of detectives want to piece together what led up to the shootout.
