Help. With purpose I do enjoy your life we realize each person can make a difference and our mission is to empower you are. The choices that you make in every moment shape your life and we encourage you to realize that you have your own answers and to always listen to your own truth we invite you to stay away. To welcome to a rare show I am Lisa car and it said to cure you of year to day thank you so much for joining me I get to speak to amazing people and so much lately we've seen so many entire industries get turned on its head in terms of we've seen the housing industry completely change we've seen government industries completely change we've seen religions completely change marriage completely change there's so many interests right a cottage industry but of long term staples in our world that have completely changed and there's a philosophy that so many things are coming to the surface now so that the truth can be exposed so that the truth can come out now I've noticed this is a bit of my awareness lately but every other commercial that I hear on commercial radio seems to be for an attorney we've got attorneys for you know for if you've been an accident call this person if you took a pill sideways call this person if you've experienced this call this person and it's just like I've never really heard that so much before where tourney's markets so much you know here's an attorney that has a bunch of attorneys and. You know. Like this is really big band big business big industry but where is you as I look at everything that's completely changing is that an industry that's now changing that's turning on its head and I was contacted by someone who actually answered that question for me I was contacted by Stephanie salt and Stephanie said to me she by the way was one of the 1st female attorneys in South Africa which is quite an accomplishment in a story within itself but she kind of cars are self a recovering attorney turned to spirit turned to source that I went out Ok I'm listening I don't know I'm listening because her transformation her inner transformation has matched what she does in terms of consulting companies and C.E.O.'s from the perspective of intuition that's actually the name of a company intuitive diagnostics so I really loved this idea of not only an industry that needs to be risen to the surface taking a look at from a higher perspective exposed a bit but also a person individually who's done this very thing since 70 thank you so much for joining me and I really appreciate what you stand for Lisa thank you so much for having me. To be here but I love that I love that in your local Los Angeles know you've been you were born and raised here right yes I'm born in Los Angeles native Californian I've been living in South Africa go for over 25 years and I came back to Southern California in 2014 What was the 1st of all. What was the reason you came back to Southern California and then we're going to go backwards because you have quite a story I actually came back because my mom was living in South Africa with me and she came over to visit her brother who was alive so. Court and had a strong clear your mother had the stroke and stroke and I had to drop everything and South Africa had just got to move it to the bar Thank you my life was absolutely going in that direction may go corporate and then to stroke I had to jump on the plane. Come to back to Los Angeles and I had into taking care of my mom for the last couple of years yeah but that was probably the most rewarding thing that you could have possibly done it was absolutely all the spiritual practices everything I ever learned actually came into play with her illness did you learn from her you know actually my grandmother was a big part of my spiritual development course I had many teachers guides. Going to various you know gee vortexes in the world but I've had since I was a child I've had it for a very very long time this gift of being intuition and tell me when you 1st discovered that. It's actually been as far as I could remember I had the gift of intuition my great grandmother was a healer and I followed her everywhere and but my mother wasn't having that she really wanted me of me to be a professional but in the end she became my biggest supporter and in spirit and on the earth plane and my family as well the great grandmother did my grandmother and my mom and my dad were all very much supporters with my gift so when did your gifts show up like it did it scare you or did it I mean what how did you identify it as a gift as opposed to just hunches Now to me it was a give but then it was not I think I became a lawyer just to run away from it basically really really one of my biggest mysteries I remember was going to the Greyhound races in Mexico with my mom and I kept telling my mom to bet in the specific order with a specific dogs and specific races. Well she didn't but they kept coming in coming in and coming in and finally this man said hey lady can I borrow the key. Because my mother yes she did you was that it was an error. So if he made this guy a lot of fighting I mean I've got a lot of money to chew regularly did you really so did your mom ever react now is this gift of yours oh now Shelby Absolutely she called me in the vain the weathervane I used to predict the weather I predict all kinds of things I found missing husbands for her friends I mean just over the years absolutely a lot of my predictions of come true with friends family colleagues did this ever get you in trouble yes people like to hear the truth. Oh yeah that always special when it comes of missing has. Been particular problems that you can't tell people everything that you know and that's when I realized that you couldn't and that became a block What was it so obvious to you it was just that inner knowing clear sentients clear audience just that inner feeling of knowing would you see and hear it feel it where would you get that I am clear sentient I can sense feel I can hear with my 30 or. But basically it's an inner knowing it's an inner knowing it it just it just drops in undeniable truth how do you tell that from your maybe thinking that might be cutting it there's a different chemistry that goes on between the left brain and the right brain I do a lot of meditation and dietary restrictions and that type of thing so we call it the Trinity when you're left brain and you're right brain what we call the journey without distance opens your heart chakra and that's where all the information really does lie through dietary restrictions to open up intuition to absolutely yes yes fasting eating certain foods and abstaining from certain other foods foods a little by Bray ssion I love pork I have had it in the path. Yes but definitely lower vibration food right even certain vegetables. Because our have a a lower vibration then the perk of the the you know I eat vegetables keep Yeah they're very very strange Me Yeah interesting fasting Yeah yeah Fisher Ok so now you said that you went to deny those gifts you became an attorney yes how did that happen I thought let me run away from this I don't want this I felt because I was I was very but warmish. Growing up so I was a science major I just knew that just to shut this down this is what I needed to do but it didn't work. That law school is not a small undertaking you know did you when you were in South Africa what does made you move to South Africa I actually graduated from. A law school in the United States I went there for a vacation after law school my parents took me on a trip to southern Africa this is in 1904 when the days of Nelson Mandela South Africa was just booming booming booming and I went there for 3 months and I end up staying What was that like it was incredible So you decided to practice there I did I did I finally got it made it took me 20 years to get admitted how Wow I was the 1st American to be admitted to the bar in southern Africa that stick to it of this took a very long time what were you defending I was a corporate lawyer corporate I was corporate One day I heard my colleagues called me the Barracuda who said I was bitter couldn't think what they're talking about and my inner voice that they're talking about you. And I was so hardcore I even had I suah my license plate got you there made you go there that's where I was at the time and then I realized how far I had got. Away from my spiritual self and then I started meditation and diet restrictions visiting a very powerful one for Texas and dedication to spiritual practice and I completely shifted my left brain to my right brain and connection with my heart chakra and I absolutely stepped into my power and then my license plate started to mean I serve the universal energy. And that's what as you knew as it was about i.c. Did you ever have experiences in South Africa that caused you to want to you know grow their spirituality or intensify your intuition Oh absolutely every single day but you just deny it I was denying it but I used it in a different way even when I was a practicing attorney I still used it I'm covered like any $2000000.00 worth of unseen assets in one particular company they don't even know they had it was strictly intuitive after you explained that though when you're in the corporate world they couldn't believe it either but it was actually true it was in their annual report was actually look that and. My goodness and it hasn't shown up here well Ok so then you vet fast forward moved here to the u.s. Because of your mom now you decided to stay why I realized that I come full circle and in order to move forward I have to be here and you know but none of us makes no mistakes so I had a business close Marshall Krom who was just amazing pushing me to jump off the cliff and his wife Siri Crump on the spiritual side they pushed me and pushed me and I started into a dot intuitive diagnostics and here I am what do you think about the. Law industry here. Where do you see when you say that you're a recovering attorney what does that mean. When the legal profession is you know is is really is the epitome of corporate America but I don't feel it's changing I feel will be a many people in many different professions are being called right now whether it's a lawyer whether it's a doctor I think I'd rather have an intuitive lawyer on my side and doctor yeah I think I would rather have been to the doctor on my side and all the other 2 would have accountant so I think we're being called and I think there's room for the traditional as well as the spiritual but when you put these 2 things together Lisa you've got some powerful I hear it all the time I have so many people that have pitched me saying I'm an intuitive c.e.o. Coach or I'm an intuitive medical something or another and I don't know if I mean I see it as intuitions always been used in what we do but that again that's what I do too I never really identified it I just always have this it's like God is my c.e.o. . But that was the same for Steve Jobs right now Steve Jobs the amazing thing he had achieved achieve spiritual offer officer a chief spiritual intuitive officer not believe at some point every company is going to have a chief intuitive officer seriously believe that I do too I mean it's it's good but it's also got to have principles behind it you take this very grounded world of law and corporations how do you bring in oh I had this feeling doesn't have to have something a little bit more grounded in order to get listening. You know Einstein said there's no logical way to the discovery of elemental laws there's only the way of intuition which is held by a feeling for the order lying behind the appearance when you have an unseen world right basically 99 percent of reality you see through a microscope the wife I even now we trust some of our most important information to the cloud which is I'm seeing basically they have I call it the corporate akashic record. It at how would you know what yeah I know basically arc well let intuitive diagnostics is to really expand our clients and where news. Their sense of reality to enter stand the powerful connection and combination of spiritual tools and traditional business practices so that's basically what we do and we do all kinds of intuitive assessments for partnerships deals so how did ours How Does not our directors what basically we start with an assessment. An intuitive diagnostic assessment which which is basically we scan the energy field around you and the business revealing what is present on the vibrational level that's basically the 1st thing that we do we can a lot of information from that ice fires where the company's going and really where the C.E.O.'s head is and Mart and I ration and then sometimes we use carts that's one of the tools that we use and I laugh is that what people psychologist traditional psychologists have been using cards for. 56 How do you are so rock art you know they don't use this until quite but they use car different types of carts to measure energy so we use different types of cars which basically reflects the vibrational and magnetic patterns around you and your current state of consciousness and that of your business and it gives us a decoding into the deeper letters of your succumb a bit of of your subconscious through symbolism. So you can see where the universe sees you. So now is this when you look at a company and you look at a c.e.o. Do you ever do the like an astrological matching or anything like that because they're basically all the c.e.o. Would have created the they created the corporation Absolutely we do a lot of astrology the astral influences we say if it's going on in the universe it matters so we use special calendars to plot the best times for meetings a negotiation is in and winning basically the c.e.o. Of the company charts are very important parameters to forecast the success of the company. The board and the key executives so we give them optimal timelines to initiate their plans signed contracts hire fire so that's basically how we use astrology way use numerology is very very prevalent in our practice which one gives the client their personal and. Algorithms. And these are the numbers that matter nature in business basically. Most do even know the birthdate of their company. Guy No I don't know unless you go back and look at your corporate paperwork Yeah but these numbers are just like in nature they govern cycles that are critical to planning execution and implementing different types of business. And intuitive diagnostics we research some of the largest corporations on the Nasdaq and we have found that many of the C.E.O.'s don't do wrong it's the birth date or the date of their incorporation or the founding year of the company but also the c.e.o. Doesn't reveal his own birthday so this information is very powerful in the hands of competitors. We researched the c.e.o. Like Larry Marlow he's the c.e.o. Of c.v.s. Pharmacy. He only has 156 the year he was born among us who the head of American Airlines only has like January 959 and there's a slew of other high powered executives that do not reveal their birthday because in the hands of certain people it could be interesting yeah so these guys really get what's going on so when you take on a company or any type of a quick ration you have a you do you look at it I mean how do you decide who you want to work where do you have to us and there was that were yes we're very picky Ok very pretty what the requirements of us think you want to quote is You must be meditating you must meditate or commit to maybe meditating 5 to 20 minutes a day and you give specific exercises and what to do absolutely we do but if they're not militating they're going to be on the same vibrational frequency that created the problem in the 1st place so that's why we def. That we want them to meditate open up their their their higher. Shockers open develop their intuition so that they can change they can change because I'm saying that you can't solve the problems with the same consciousness that create right it so that's what we try to get them to disconnect from the left brain moving to the right brain into the heart chakra and we call it vibrational freedom do you find that companies are coming to you these days with a lot of problems I mean obviously people probably wouldn't seek you out if they were doing really well right some to we've had some companies come with major issues we've given them solutions they can take it they went to a traditional consulting firm failed came back and said we should have listened and we sometimes that we should have charged a not listening fee. Interesting we also have a lot of companies that because I lived in China for quite a long time well so we have a lot of companies that have had trouble with Chinese businesses. And doing business in China so we explained to them what the problem is that it's basically that the Chinese use the iching which is the secret weapon which is a given and different Tory tool that we also use as well I've been studying now for over I want tell you how long. So the Chinese business and usually what have the business monks throw the chain and by the time you get there all of the whole you know energy field is they know everything pretty much about your expense Lee If your birthday is been exposed and everybody's so thrilled about exposing their birthdays on link then and on Facebook so they have all your vibrational information before you even walk through the door wait business monk yes there's business monks in China a lot of them a lot of them they throw them on pile which is an ancient Oracle as well they use iching on. Each and is prudent for predicting or assessing relationships vibrational no influences and what disappearing a man would do in any particular situation is an amazing tool you get your whole. Swat analysis can be done through the iching that makes us interests weaknesses opportunities and threats Ha interesting totally So that's a business tool in China it's a huge tool plus the function. And so American businessmen walk in and they don't have a clue what's going on in China there's always somebody reading the room. Reading the room so we've been hired some time to just rate the room to see exactly what's going on my goodness yeah and but you don't call yourself a psychic you don't have that about you you just are using intuition and business in and using traditional long time tested tools in order to do this absolutely but it requires a meditation I meditate religiously every single day I'm going to ask you Do you have your own secret tools and tips and so forth to help your company I do I absolutely do we do so many different things we all meditate everyone on the staff meditate at the same time we have goals they all agree upon we know where we're going we know what kind of clients we want we know the number of clients we want we know our we know our astral influences 3 you meditate at the same time. Yes we do everything at it like a meditation break every single day in the middle the day I love it we started off in the morning no matter where we are in the world we think our time and meditate all together but that is found and that's why we're a powerful team that makes what such Do you share what comes through in those been absolutely we share what comes through that becomes part of our mission statement our business plan sometimes can do this on 0 individually where you are and then share later I mean that sure I assume we do Skype but we do we definitely email each other of course but we always write down what we were downloading. And especially sometimes we'll do it for clients as well will download what we get from them for them so you start off your work week I love this I love this is that as a legal consulting firm too that you do this scene had this meditation and you focus on what clients circles of this this or whatever it is sometimes when you're into we definitely download for clients but we say I tell my clients of foam if you're not developing your intuition you can use mine that is already that is good sometimes we focus on certain things often times we just download and see what we get. I mean that's amazing just download in terms of corporations I love it you personally do you know where you're going with this so what you want out of it. Well we've been doing this behind the scenes where I've been doing this behind the scenes over 20 years probably longer but I've always read for for all my friends and family and stuff like that but I feel that we've been called to absolutely to assist companies to move to the next level earth is on a very rapid ascension path I think we all know that and business has to come along and if we do life spiritual foundations for business I think the positive benefit to humanity will be you can you won't be able to miss infant in. In it in terms of the law angle of the last the perspective do you see that changing at all absolutely I think we're moving a lot towards Mediation and Arbitration why not get back of the why people sue you why are people really suing you and sometimes it can be ego sometimes it can be anger sometimes it could be a myriad of things but it usually is not what shows up on that sheet of paper so we're going to see a lot more mediation a lot more collaboration a lot more settling out of court going to court can be risky and extremely expensive Yes and it can be a very tarnishing thing to the brand to your corporate brand so do you think so is it all of that that the cooperation and the mediation all of that what really not a a legal consulting firm we are more of just a consulting firm on. We do if there's lawsuits we if the people are willing we absolutely I have for was a lot of mediation is up there for you to. Actually get a better than to actually sit down and figure out what the real problem is and come up with a solution that's I'm going to go for both parties you have this gift yes of being able to see all sides yes and sometimes the comic relationships between the people which show up especially with using the spiritual tools you can absolutely see the comic relationships. My goodness from past absolute. What did you do to the person in power right Oh absolutely and how it's coming out to randomly play out in this lifetime yes thing is random nothingness Why do you think you are quite a wonderful person I love how you took initiative to reach out to me and say Hey I just wanted to be on your show yeah it was so amazing I was sitting at home and I was working doing some consulting working and some telling me to go to the store I don't want to go to the store own ghost or something you're pushing me pushing me pushing me and sure enough as soon as I got into the car your show was on and I heard it and I cracked up laughing as Ok that's why you want to know you want to go to the store and then he you know it's just really cool Well I thank you so much for helping change an industry that otherwise has a lot of I want to say wait on it but there are certain things that are working there are certain things that are not and that we have a as I said many systems are breaking down in terms of your services do you are you helping people that where there's been a lot of layoffs in the tech industries taking over automation and so forth are you helping people transition absolutely we are focus is key executives executives that . When you get laid off there could be a read that could be a reason that you may be are being called to start your own business so I do love into barriers we love people that are just starting because if you can set the spiritual foundation where you are just beginning or both says Oh my goodness this is the cosmic limits interesting so entrepreneurs' entrepreneurs were very very successful entrepreneurs great and that's a great idea all right well thank you so much for joining me and let's find out how people can reach you if they want to get ahold of you into one of diagnostics dot com Right yes intuitive diagnostics start dot. Where shall I only cigar right so how about that conversation about weight loss and weight management and sneaky weight gain and why does that weight gain come unconscious eating is it stresses that lack of a plan is it like a village so we're going to talk with my next guest about why diets fail and the science behind why diets fail with my guest Sarah Richter she is a nutritionist specializing in writing in presenting about nutrition to people so that it's easy to understand and it's applicable for our daily lives and it fits into our daily lives if it's 9 to 5 job that you have or any busy lifestyle that you have it's about making it easy and understandable and she also helps people around that there is no such thing as bad food but more of a bad overall diet and how to balance it out welcome to the show thanks for joining me thanks so much for having me Lisa great to be here how do you been working with people in terms of nutrition about 6 and a half years now professionally and so why did you get into it originally Well you know I'm think you know to my mom we do get a lot of stuff from our parents but my mom was always a very healthy eater growing up in eighty's you know we were from my 1st memories are from going to the farmer's market. And you know that shawl wholegrain So really . Her with her and so I was a very healthy eater and I got older I was always a science math gal and always can eat pizza meaning I went to a state of mind to be a doctor and I realized I was a big one so I can handle things that doctors. Nutrition and I got older and you know and of course too I was you know I think we're all interested in what every day and food nutrition is you know a huge part of what we put into our bodies every day so there's always a very high personal element so you know I really wanted to know everything I could I not really lend to you know her and nutrition it's related to health so I can get down but yet you know it does involve really anybody that hair and says and it's highly necessary and I do myself well then he did so let's talk about that 8 to 5 work person who's in an office all day 1st of all what types of things can you suggest she you preplan your food and to really get the good nutrition in rather then whatever's in the break room which is usually sweet or bad or been sent to the company and then how do you get that motivation to still work out after a long day right right and you know it's something for me I mean I know my travel schedule has just increased huge way so that's another thing that I've been you know really working with and how to stay consistent when you're on the road you know I'm not a fan of a lot of hotel gym that are like I do little tiny room that you know there's no mirrors or you're just looking at a wall so yeah I mean that's always always an issue I think for a lot of people in different situations but as far as the office job and you know funny that you mention I did actually scientific name for that spot in the office where all the food you know the leftovers from the birthday celebration and I see how many make cookie ring and it's actually called the food altar which is how it should go because it really does a kind of I'll go out and people know that's where they go for it you know the extra. Really I think it comes down to planning or just really you know having a plan having now and you know food on hand with you every day whether it be and the office trades your area a phrase that you can have food or at your desk if you have a little pantry section that you keep you know whether or not or what have you it's having on hand because it's usually when we don't have a plan we just leave it when hungry and then you know we run across the food aisle turn whatever whatever it out it is usually headed I mean end up eating and I think just having a plan man and now whether I know some people are you're you know 3 square meals a day or others are more grazers So depending on your eating style whether it's you know bringing your meals from home knowing very well what are some healthy meal to buy you know your surrounding area and demand food budget of course as well. Or you know there's also some great frozen options I think frozen food has really come a long way for me although I know she really both cost. Of course super easy and really great for the office and do a good job of you know still being pretty atrocious and yet at a fine how do. You know the dance frozen dinner has come a long way everybody how did it really. There's really some great line down batch and you know what I usually recommend you take a look at the label because I mean the best thing we all can do in the grocery store when choosing food when possible the food at a label Take a look at the label you know be looking for anywhere between you know maybe at the low end 353-0350 all the way up 250554 total calories for the meal protein if you can get at least 20 grams of protein that's going to be great I'm carbohydrate maybe moderate maybe anywhere from 20 to 4050 grams of carbs fat you know. I mean maybe 5 and I'm fat total but yeah that or they've really come a long way with good veggies. Yeah it's interesting I mean they I found some really great ones I love the scent of the Indian food that I can't and don't know how to prepare and they make them and freeze them like soap and here I love that. Meat never get the spices right but Ok so in terms of diets when I mentioned this at the beginning what is some of the science behind why diets fail you know that's actually kind of the 1000000 dollar question had researchers health professionals everybody is trying to figure out of why you know why we cannot get a handle on that you know overweight obesity epidemic and I think you know when you look at the research around you know weight loss and how overweight obesity form it's definitely a multifaceted issue and that there really is no one answer for every person however there are some things that do become clear I mean for one we are somewhat you know it determine obesogenic environment just meaning dad a lot of people are living in an environment that might support the formation of overweight obesity and that you know there there stood the cool environment there may not be No it's very easy to not get any physical activity in a lot of our lifestyles where driving to work you know we live in a you know suburbia outside of the center so we have to drive everywhere but there you can not get any physical activity we set out our death all day right so that there's just being surrounded we are surrounded by food by calories I mean think about it like it mean a food we need food for you know to be able to live and for nutrition we have a biological need for it but at the same time you know food should be at the grocery store but food and almost every store you go. You know it always cracks me up when even when you go in like you know the. Sports goods stores or I mean any store it seems like they always have an aisle of snacks and food so we're surrounded by calories and usually those calories or what they term a call empty meaning that they provide calories but they don't really provide good nutrition other than you know sugar salt and fat so we're surrounded by that all the time and then also to I think in our you know very tech technical savvy or technology savvy we're living lives that you know the act of eating is not just for that metabolic need or that we need food it becomes something that we can use to you know maybe cover up emotions more feel like so that makes it even and then also to throw in the social environment a lot of social activity usually revolves around food and then drinks when we get to a certain age and and there is science showing that when we're with a group of our friends I mean which you know trouble loves company it's it's sometimes a lot easier to you know have that you know maybe fat in the meal and drinks and keep going because you're doing it together so all of those things I think just contribute that it just makes it so easy if you're again if you don't have a plan if you're not proactive the years go by and the pounds just you know pile on so you know there again it just really depends on the person individual but there's there are there's a lot of reasons why people are having a hard time with diets and and then also to not thinking about the nutrient composition of their diets you know that I mean if you look at the science of showing what's working I do want to help more people really understand you know nutrient composition and what are the basics of what they need to you know achieve in their diet to help you know maintain a healthy weight so they don't have to worry about you know packing on the pounds of years gone and also will power does not work you can see. Set out in the morning to say you can have a great day you know only 3 square meals and you're going to go to bed early and then the 1st stressful thing that happens makes you think twice about that and by the 3rd stressful thing that happens you completely forgot about that motivation so it blew power doesn't for me work I need a plan to strike a fail proof plan to stick to no matter what happens throughout the day so i u e 5 military person is there a certain time after you know I'm a huge I'm a huge pressure I'm just a personal preference you know I mean yes I'm actually myself I am more of a 3 square meals a day type of person Ok I thought where add do I know I need people in situations where that you know more 5 smaller grazing style were Yeah so really I think people just need to tune into you know what do you like what do you naturally you know drawn to as far as your eating occasions or how fast you fell out and that's where I you know it's important to pay mindful eating a few well or kind of really listening to your body and realizing Ok You know I was hungry I ate I'm satisfied you know you know stopping before you're full are fully stuffed and kind of you know tuning into what style of eating Are you maybe after he was scheduled and what your work schedule is when you do have a bad time but I think there's you know there's benefit in both ways just again just depend on that person know what works best for them you know I notice that you are you have a green chef service what is it that you do in terms of a communal delivery kit service what do you put together some of your recipes some ideas cats and I you know what and you know I hear again I am a glutton for delivery and convenience and I have just aren't in love with servants you know every Wednesday I go home and I have a box at my door that has you know 3 me. Else for 2 people and all the ingredients are pushing down we have I have exactly what we need for the streaming out so it's a great great healthy again veggie sale dinners we haven't had one that we had like I mean probably been getting a service now for gosh I don't know you know almost 6 months or so and I get I just love it it saves me so much time you know the grocery shopping the food waste I'm so famous we're. When I Make You made the meals and then you have so much left over and I'm throwing it at the rest out you know didn't know it yeah I know because I mean once he thought I was right so if we were to do this ourselves if we were to be our own green chef and we were to go to the grocery store on Sunday what would he get to set us up for the week that kind of very good question well you know and if some people actually encourage you know to do maybe some research online and if I'm from a piece that you'd like to try if you want to be you know creative in the kitchen but if you really want to kind of some quick dirty throw together some some helping me out I would start with protein right because you want to look at the science supported ways to support you know both feeling fuller So your safety ation mindful between meals not only on your muscle support which is also important if you're going to maintain weight loss or you know lose it and actually you're working out so I would start with a protein think about what protein you're going to have for your males whether you know it's animal or plant based so you know chicken breast steak or good lean piece of red meat if you well I'm on a vegetarian option to start with your protein and whether or not you want to fully you know track it down or measure down anywhere from you know 20 to 40 grams 50 I mean a chicken breast can vary but you know you can't go wrong if you and I had a media small to medium high chicken breast per person however many people you're feeding that with the protein premium Ok also to well that's important because you know it's important to try to get a distant even distribute. Action approaching across the day so whether you know you are shopping for maybe just to make dinners or you're shopping for all your meals try to plan it out so that you are getting some protein at each meal and you have a more even distribution. Of protein and then I think about my fat. I'm going to have whether you know you know trying to keep the saturated fats low as possible I know there's been a lot of reports of how you know maybe the catch rated status for butter and whatnot isn't so bad for us after all and while I think that's an area we still have to look to the research see what they come out with and now Ok and I for one I like butter once in awhile so I think that but it doesn't mean you can go you know I be with and have a kind of I think you still really need to restrict your saturated fat intake so I know that those Think about polyunsaturated fats amount on x. Rated fat I know those are big annoying words that what are they so you're mano unsaturated fats are your olive oil. Canola you're polyunsaturated fats so you're not. Caught out of how does a great 1st of modern fashion and that's just a typical you know what I think a lot of people know is how many fats right quote unquote So I get not I'm great speed all of these are great at forces to use whether you're using it to pay whether you're using it maybe a homemade jet I mean because you're fat in your meal is going to come either from an oil for cooking or a draft. And I think about what that outcome then and then I are usually around I'm talking Also if you're carbohydrate and there I know a lot of people these days are trying to restrict carbohydrate as much as possible Wow I can I think there's enough evidence to support it restricting carbohydrate maybe keeping it to a moderate intake I do I don't like you know people fully try to cut out carbs so absolutely have some carbs you know. Whether it be you got you I really really do I mean I did now I do think you did your brain they burn the brink of burns cards right absolutely wild how you mean nutrition textbooks and don't mind read I remember learning at the start that your body needs at least I know about it how to go back I don't like a 13250 grams of carbs just for your brain to operate at a. Function Oh yes we absolutely need carbs but you know you can keep it somewhat low so it's hard your your veggies your carbs and creamy vegetables I'm limited have as much as you want you know salad what not such paid I maybe your starchy veggies your potato you know some squashes made out you can keep to a smaller serving size as you know grains if you are trying to eat a low or moderate carb maybe keeping your off whole grain serving like a quarter cup of rice or what not but I do like the whole grains to go because they are a great source of intolerable fiber which as you know very important keep your regular and just get that good fiber so I I like a whole grains a little bit you know maybe once or even a day so yeah I mean after a huge cold round thing I break it down by protein fat I have a hydrate and then when you don't have your you know your vitamins minerals of course or I mean some you know mostly all of them explicitly when you're talking your game and your fruits and veggies you know even when you're fat 1st if you are getting some of that other item in the minerals that you name and if people you know did feel or don't think that they're getting and now I do think a lot of people maybe could benefit from having like a multivitamin just a filmic out now because I just a lot of people are walking around understanding even how much of vitamin mineral they even mean and then even less people are walking around tracking now on each meal that they have across the day and knowing that they reach their daily needs so I think sometimes it might have on me and help with ads or get it from all your food that I think is a new cause because it can I can. We'll I mean you I mean not Emil replacement but you could really supplement your supplements could be filling I don't think about it that way now let me ask you about carbs from vegetables are you a fan of the slower burning carbs like potatoes and Sue potatoes and squashes and so forth I mean I think there is. Definitely I think. Value to you know you have a more either complex or I could actually Q When you think about the red wine out of potatoes that I can sleep Taito or the squashes are going to be much better than say just a plain piece of white bread and a lot of kind of a fiber with a numb so that really helps the road be a fact of you know the carbohydrates I guess and how it you know affects your blood sugar fat and that kind of has that rolled into the mix and act factor and yes we want food for me out at a lower price you make a fact I'm so that you know it may end up like sugar is responding better and it's not going to lead to a huge crash in blood sugar and that usually later I'm hungry Yeah right so yeah there definitely is truth to that and then also to you just you can't deny the nutrient powerhouses that some of these you know. Scotch 8 I mean. I know white you know kind of get the battle you know rap but they really are a good source of of different you shan't you can put in some you know little Greek yogurt on hand for a little you know well. You got a pretty healthy little do right there what about sweets can you do like a nice. Greek yogurt and make it a savory type of thing can you do dates to me what can you do. Actually. Really right I mean sky's the limit of all the different things you can do you you know whether it's updating your classic recipe to make. I'm a little bit house here or even just creating some really delicious wheat you know from you know how thier more. Fruit So what type dessert so I would go on line I mean you know with the Internet now when I want to look at anything I used to have recipe books now I just I threw him out I know I need you know only just you figure out what she wanted to I me to cancel the other day that was so good and I just made it on my own and the crockpot was really easy yeah then I'm Ok I doubt it I know now that you know our yeah another thing I'd say though about the sweet you know I would allow yourself I do believe and I am a huge fan of of all good I don't try to discriminate I just you know. But sometimes you've got to allow yourself to have whether you know it's your grandma's famous pie. 100 whatever it is our your stuff you're not going to predict because when we do when we over deprive ourselves that's usually when we can get into trouble and when like you say the willpower becomes harder to keep up you have a little break maybe you have one by and then because you've been trying to you know deprive yourself and hold yourself such I entered you end up just snowballing and lonely over doing and you know maybe in an argument or something in a family member and the now you're eating your feelings away so I think it's important to kind of go into it with you know I am going to have a little bit I'm going to enjoy I mean I have you know one by one how good are Same thing can be said about you know sometimes alcoholic beverages so I allow new stuff to enjoy I'm just having be you know some of the willpower or just the know how to . Get that satisfaction earn you know not the processed sugars trying to make then after you eat really clean for a while the process sugars don't even register they don't even taste good they taste like wax. Chemicals and it's interesting how your taste buds completely change after you get all the stuff out of your diet and when you go back to the physical activity part of it memory I asked you about how do you get the willpower to workout after work. Or what do you do I believe all the little things count so bad where I am you know I'm and I am one who naturally I don't fit still I mean even if I'm you know out there watching a t.v. Program at home I am constantly moving around like I'm probably you know doing laundry vacuum mean I actually have some hand weights that I keep in my living room and he council that I pull out and so I'm you know kind of I'm doing my step curls while I'm watching or I'm doing squats so I'm trying to just stay active even you know even when I'm even at home watching t.v. But really I think they are and there's a few things that I find out me. And I think laughter when you sign up yeah most of the gems that make you sign up beforehand are the you know spices that really kind of you know you're sat you're in and I'm just not accountable same thing with you know setting up workouts to do with friends I'm not the way that you know if it's just meat on my own I'm much more likely to cancel but if I have a and that's counting on me I'm much more likely to tell the other 3 Yeah yeah. And then just getting any activity in where you can you know I mean I know it's a we hear it all the time and but it is it's you know Parking far away and you know it toward the back of the parking lot you know during the daylight hours if you're by yourself. You know close to the grocery store or taking the stairs wherever you can just stuff like that I really do and and again for my goal right now is just trying to be. You know we're Council week every week 12 you know I might get some weeks but and out of time I'm only maybe one or 2 more times so even though I mean I think for everybody. Somewhat right if I say it's not a total struggle to get that gym work out but really there you just you know you've got to plan it out and stick to it and do it Ok so this Thursday night Sarah Richter is going to be speaking at the Calabasas it's you go a cow about this community center and it's on Malibu Hills Road it's in a garage so if you're out that way if you can make yourself out that way there's. Multiple speakers that night it goes from 7 to 10 and they're talking about nutrition strategies that will help your performance there's a whole performance line it's all natural very incredibly science based food and food programs and if you are an athlete it's a great conversation for you to be able to have about protein protein pacing a lot of things are going to be happening that night so if you go to event right then you'll be able to see transformation Thursday on there and if you just unnerve an upright if you event right if you just type in transformation Thursday this is for November 16th so it's Thursday night and is that means it's tonight and number 16 and I will be there as well this is a very near and dear topic to my heart so it's starts at 630 and then it will go till 10 and Sam will be there to answer any questions and is there anything else that you can tell us that is just super cutting edge brand new science that you have not shared before. Gosh I don't know when you. Start. Is it you sticking with the basics that yeah well you know I think I would just send on you know if there's a lot of great research going on around what works but there are some exciting things I'd like you might. And approaching we're learning more and more about protein and how that really affects us and really helps us with maintaining a healthy weight you know in a minute so I think it's kind of a big buzzword and that is a dietary practice I employ myself and have had great I mean we could have a whole nother talk about how to balance out the holiday and dealt with dietary factors like I mean it a lot it also I mean we could talk we could talk for hours but I did over oh everybody just remember I mean just do the best you can don't beat yourself up and you know what you need to mind another day to get right back on again and do it over again you know that's a God that's a good point yeah I just did a fast yesterday no 2 days ago and I love the fact that the once you do a one day cleanse or fast it keeps working day Tuesday before even if you go back to regular food because the metabolism has been turned back on and I believe the disruption is important in the body because it disrupts the patterns of you know hidden unconscious eating metabolism going back to sleep all that stuff that's a really good so that might help me stress in the body there's some good. When you put mild structures on the body one of them be an exercise of another one being fasting and that can really help strength and you know better how so yeah absolutely yeah you can find out about that too on Thursday night live thank you so much sir Richter It's been my guest and again it's tonight and from 630 to 10 transformation Thursday it is found if you go to Event Brite you'll be able to find it there and come and learn a ton All right thanks. For being here all right great talking with you and thank you so much and till next time I invite you to stay aware.
