This apartment complex is where this homicide happened on the second floor. According to police they are looking for the person responsible for the homicide. According to family members that we have talked to, the victim is 17yearold justice tolliver. She was shot to death by her 13 yearold brother. Family members say they were arguing over laundry, of all things, apparently he was upset with the way she had washed his laundry. Just moments ago we talked to justices cousin who rushed here to the scene. Something get out of hand. We are coming together as a family to resolve a sad situation. 17yearold has to lose her life like that. Its sad, man. You know, im doing everything i can to be strong because somebody got to be strong but thats my niece and i love her. This brother and sister apparently like a lot of brothers and sisters they would fight but no one thought this kind of thing could happen. Firearms experts say the autopsy information indicates Sergeant Tom Smith was either shot from the front or the side. Usually, a frontal entry would indicate misidentification. Former bart Police Officer don cameron says a side entry typically means an accident tal discharge and friendly fire shooting. There are spaces in there that can allow a bullet to go through. Reporter a sacramento attorney is representing bart officer michael maes who shot sergeant smith. The veteran officer as seen in this bart promotional video, the attorney would not say why or how the shooting happened, only that officer maes is saddened by the tragedy. Reporter juliette, the elderly couple in this case is in her late 70s, he is in his mid80s both strong people but both of them very shaken up by this Home Invasion robbery here this morning. It happened at about 10 40 a. M. On palo alto avenue near waively. The elderly couple was having a quiet morning at home when there was a knock on the door. A man was asking directions. I hadnt opened the door yet and i said who are you looking for . They gave some name. Reporter but it was really three men, one of them with a gun. Unfortunately, i opened the door and the guy came right at me with a gun. And i was pretty petrified. But he told a backup. Of stuff. Were not sure what or how much now. He stole a bunch of stuff. Reporter the couple had to lay on the floor for 15 minutes with a gun pointed at their heads. I thought we would be shot. But we didnt. The victims didnt suffer any injuries. They were compliant with the suspects request and demands. The suspects took the items they wanted and left the scene. Reporter the robbers took the couples wallets, cash and other valuables and got away. Aside interest being armed, the woman aside from being armed, the woman said the guys did not look intimidating. I do sort of think i could take him if he hadnt had that gun. Reporter strong people there. The suspects are only described in vague terms, three black men in their 20s. They were dressed in jeans and wore hoodies. They also may have escaped in a lightcolored tan or white four door sedan. A marin teenager is going to spend a lot of time behind bars for a series of crimes. A High School Newspaper photographer snapped these pictures, max wade sat emotionless as he was sentenced to life in prison plus 21 years.
