A number of democrats are joining the call now for accountability. Today contractors for the nearly 400 million project will tell their side of the story to angry lawmakers. Developers for healthcare. Gov will head to capitol hill this morning for hearings about the website, which has been slow and unresponsive for millions of users. The rollout of obama care is nothing short of a debacle. In written testimony cgi federal, the main contractor for the project, takes partial blame for the problems, but it says the ultimate responsibility is with the obama administration. Its our job to hold them accountable, and when it comes to obama care, clearly theres an awful lot that needs to be held accountable. Even supporters of the president S Health Care law are upset. I absolutely believe someone should be held accountable. Minnesota congressman rick nolan went a step further. He said the president needs to man up, find out who was responsible, and fire them. The frustration that lawmakers who supported the Affordable Care act feel over the fact that a portion of it is not functioning at the level we want it to function is frustration shared first and foremost by the president. Some democrats including senator joe manchin are calling for a oneyear delay of the 500 fine for not buying Health Insurance, saying americans shouldnt be punished for the governments faulty website. Well, theres been more fallout concerning operations. Germany says the u. S. May have targeted Angela Merkels cell phone. Merkel complained to president obama during a phone call yesterday. She said if true, that would be a serious breach of trust. The white house denies the u. S. Is currently listening in on merkels phone, but the white house did not say merkels communications had not been monitored in the past. And this morning in massachusetts, a 14yearold student is being held without bail charged in the murder of a belonged young teacher. 24yearold Colleen Ritzer taught at Danvers High School. Today counselors will be at the school to help students. Reports indicate ritzer knew the student but its not clear what their relationship was. Jericka duncan has the report. Reporter philip chism didnt say a word during his arraignment yesterday. Its alleged on october 13, philip chism did assault and beat Colleen Ritzer. Reporter the popular math teachers body was found in the woods behind Danvers High School wednesday. Ritzers friends reported her missing late tuesday. As a result of that report, Danvers Police initiated a search for the teacher and discovered blood in the second floor bathroom at Danvers High School. Reporter chism was also reported missing tuesday. Police found him walking along the road wednesday morning. He was arrested based on his statements to police and School Surveillance video. He moved from tennessee to this year. His friends say he was kind and softspoken. His uncle cant believe whats happened. This is the furthest thing from reality for me to believe that philip could get entangled in Something Like this. Reporter ritzer lived with her family. She was respected and well liked. She had one ambition in life, to be a math teacher. She was happy to teach, so passionate. Always wanted to be a math teacher. She made it fun for us to go to math class. Well, kennedys cousin Michael Skakel is getting a new trial in the murder of 1995. Michael skakel is the nephew of Robert Kennedys widow ethyl kennedy. Hes getting a new trial saying that his attorneys failed to fairly represent him. A 13 yurld a 13yearold was carrying a pellet gun that officers mick took for a highpowered rifle. Bigad shaban reports. Reporter two california sheriffs deputies say they believed 13yearold Anthony Lopes was carrying an Assault Rifle when one of the deputies shot and killed him but his parents say he was carrying a toy on his way to play with a friend. Hes not alive anymore because of a mistake. Reporter police held up lopezs fake rifle alongside an ak47 during a news conference. They say they repeatedly told the middle schooler to drop the weapon. They say when the boy didnt, they shot lopez several times. One of the deputies described that as the suspect was turned toward him, the barrel of the rifle was rising up and turning in his direction. Reporter he also had a gun in his waistband. The teen was a popular student who played the trumpet in the school band. The two deputies are now on administrative leave which is standard protocol and the Santa Rosa Police department are leading the investigation. Those who know the teen are shocked. He was a really good friend of mine. Knowing that now hes gone, its really hard. At issue mortgages the government said were sold without regard to quality. They were sold by a division of the bank called countrywide financial. Bank of america denied there was any fraud. And more trouble for the nations largest bank. Federal officials plan to take action against Jpmorgan Chase over the Bernard Madoff ponzi scheme. Jpmorgan was madoffs main bank for two decades. Federal officials claim jpmorgan failed to do Due Diligence or report suspicious activity. Jpmorgan says theres no evidence that anyone knew about madoffs illegal dealings. Asian markets were mixed after chinas money markets shot up. Tock owes nikkei added half a percent. Hong kongs hang seng lost half a percent. Some corporate earnings sent the stock lower on wall street. The dow lost 54 point, the nasdaq fell 22 points. Apparently billionaire carl icahn is putting pressure on ams ceo tim cook. I know that because i told him to get the ball and he got it. Reporter despite his progress, grayson has a lot of catching up to do. Since he was a toddler, hes been communicating with hand gestures. You want to make him go up. Reporter now he has to link sounds with their meaning one word at a time. Dr. Craig buckman of the university of North Carolina performed the surgery. For somebody as young as grayson where do you see him in terms of maybe in the future if everything goes right . You know, i dont know honestly. Well have to see where he goes. Reporter the college decided a couple of years ago to cut tu igs 24 . Why did the school decide that tuition needed to be cut . The school like any other school has seen some declining enrollment and we were wanting to compete for students. And on the other side it was a pretty tough economic time and we knew students and family were struggling with the cost of college. Reporter here tuition dropped from 23,000 to 17,500. Brad williams is a sophomore. The tuition really helped a lot because my dad helps pay for my college and i take out loans as well. Reporter across the country at least ten schools have cut or plan to cut their tuition significantly. This year, for example, Concordia University in st. Paul, minnesota, cut tuition by 10,000. Next year Converse College in South Carolina announced it will reduce its tuition by 43 . And 29 colleges and universities have frozen their tuitions. I think it allowed us to be more selective.
