Reporter the 13yearold who were not identifying, tells me she had just reached the front door of her house after walking home from school. The man was asking questions that grew increasingly personal. I knew he wanted something sexual. Ive already unlocked the door, thats when i decided to run inside the house. The video shows the man pushing his way inside. I fight him and i slash him in the face. Reporter the 8th grader was looking for something to throw at him. He walks a few steps toward me, and i thought he was just going to jump and grab me. Instead, he walked out the door. The girl locks the door, hides in a closet, and texts her father. Daddy, come home now, some guy tried to rape me. Please now im really scared. Reporter police say the same man carried out another attack on april 2, also in the afternoon. Investigators say the suspect followed the 28yearold woman into the restroom but she fought him off. He ran away before police arrived, but he was caught on the market surveillance camera. Were very concerned, and we need to put a stop to this immediately. The 8th grader says she was wasnt injured, but it has shake p her sense of security. The mother says it was hard seeing what happened to her daughter on tape. Facing a predator i think its really sick and he needs to be caught. I really dont trust the outside world anymore. Reporter the girl tells me the man had a strong smell of cologne and that he had a high pitched voice. Police sky him as white, thin build, tall. They ask the public to share the pictures of him on social media to help catch him. That is just frightening, especially when you see that video. That girl just seemed so composed despite what happened amber lee, tonight in san jose. Police were given the all clear after reports of a gunman at san jose state. Police received an unconfirmed and anonymous tip. University Police Issued an alert to students and told them to shelter in place. Officers conducted a thorough search of duncan hall, and issued an all clear within an hour. Pg and e, says the content can cause transformers to short circuit. Developing news out of the midwest where a series of tornadoes touched down in three states. This tornado hit in the nebraska tornado valley. Authorities in oklahoma are assessing the damage after a number of tornadoes touched down there. This is video from cleveland county, just south of Oklahoma City. Power poles were knocked down, and debris is scattered everywhere. From the air, you can see entire neighborhoods were flattened. Even the Oklahoma City airport was evacuated as the tornadoes approached. Flooding was also a major concern. There was also Severe Weather in kansas. No serious injuries have been reported from the tornadoes, but the storms were so strong that a tiger in a refuge in Oklahoma City got loose, prompting authorities to order residents to stay inside. An elderly couple died today in a headon accident. The Highway Patrol says Christopher Shuman was behind the wheel of a chevy pickup truck that drifted onto the dirt shoulder. Investigators say he overcorrected, and careered into the other lane, and hit Fay Steinhart and her husband richard. Both of them were 72 years old. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Why tenants think the landlord knew about problems with the building before they ever moved in. Tonight 2 investigates exposes what some call the best kept secret at one apartment complex. Mold so bad some tenants say they had to move out. The apartment manager it they say knew about potential problems before they ever moved in. New evidence uncovered by 2 investigates. Reporter we hired our own mold inspector and tests in one unit revealed mold in the air five times higher than outdoor levels, and that was after apartment managers told tenants their apartment was clean. It was covered in mold and i just freaked out. Reporter a breaking point for justin keller. Mold just about everywhere else inside his apartment. Last year at the sycamores part of the lux renorth park apartment village in san jose. When its all over our stuff it just became too unbearable. Reporter San Francisco code ordered management to remove the mold. Keller and his fiance had to move out. They say apartment managers eventually gave them a furnished yont until their place could be cleaned. Cleanup crews gave the all clear. The couple says they were told to move back in or pay for a new unit. Keller not convinced the apartment was really mold free. Even as we stand in here right now, we dont know for sure if its still here. Wed like to find out. Id like to find out. Reporter tom took air samples outside and inside the apartment, he also tested a pair of the tenants moldy flip flops. They found indoor air levels still five times higher than the outdoor sample. But this number i know is elevated. Reporter we showed the mold report to tenants rights attorney, joe tobin. Clearly, in this example you provided, the landlord did not do proper mold remediation, the levels are very high. Reporter also troubling, he says is this lawsuit filed in 2012 by apartment complex, the Irvine Company, alleging breach of contract. A sophisticated landlord that has a lot of property knows that water intrusion is going to equal mold. The landlord needs to disclose that to the tenant. Reporter 2 investigates called managers, and got a call back at the Parent Company in southern california. The Irvine Company declined our request for an interview, but told us it determined the mold in kellers apartment was not caused by water intrusion. The company said the mold was caused by the residents, sighting high humidity. Reporter irvine also called ktvus lab results invalid, saying our inspector didnt take enough samples, but they still acknowledged an unacceptable number of mold spores in the air, and plans to do more cleaning. Keller says he and his fiance did nothing wrong and other people say the mold is not limited to one apartment. Reporter Kimberly Kates believes the problem is bigger than a few units. I think its like the best kept secret at north park. They offered 2,500 to replace damaged property. But keller says theyre still negotiating with management to try to cover their losses. While our inspector did not find elevated mold levels in kates apartment during this visit, she says apartment managers should have told her about potential mold problems before she moved in. It appears the whale was older and longer than first reported. It was an adult female, rather than a universal. The Marine Mammal says scientists found the whale had four vertebrae, and a broken rib.
