Reporter hundreds of volunteers chipping into feed children over the summer, it is this weeks story of brotherly love when we come when school is out many students miss out on a significant source of nutrition. They need those breakfasts and lunches that they often get in school. In tonights storm irv brotherly love Ukee Washington shows us how one food bank is filling those stomachs during the summer. Reporter food bank out on the jersey is used to helping people with food this summer using a hundred thousand dollars budget they are reaching out to children every weekday morning dozens of volunteers turn to Pennsauken Youth Athletic Association into a kids lunch factory. Children are hungry through no fault of their own. Reporter this volunteer, denise, retired special Education Teacher is here each week. She knows when schools out, kids lose school lunch. Those meals go away and they could go without eating. Reporter these volunteers pack hundreds of meals and snacks a day, 1,000 lunches and nearly 600 breakfast meals for 23 campsites and day cares in a three county area. One of them is saint cecelias Little Angels summer camp. Were feeding 75 children providing them with a daily breakfast and daily lunch. We could never afford to feed all these children ourself. Reporter vicky says the healthy food is a far cry from what kids brought last summer. A lot of times kids would get dropped off here and they would have a bag of chips, a doughnut, that could be the whole day too. Reporter she estimates free meals are worth thousands, a big savings for a camp, a big boost for a child. You look at them, and see smiles on their faces, they are ready for the rest of their day and that is a great feeling. Eyewitness News Reporter walt hunter is live at Upper Merion Police headquarters with the very latest tonight, walt. Reporter it all began police say in upper merion as a burglary, suspecting inside a home and then discover there were two people inside and found a shotgun. At that point what had started out as a routine burglary, turned in the terrifying Home Invasion and kidnapping. Home video shows the suspect being wrestled to the ground in the side yard by officers. Shortly after he allegedly broke into this home, tying up a woman, and forcing the home owner, her fiances, to drivein his car to a nearby wawa to withdraw cash. An though her husband witnessed the arrest. He heard the Police Officer yelling, get down, get down to the ground and with that, they all surrounded the subject and got him down to the ground.
