Mystery together. A gruesome discovery on the 6100 block of North Lawrence street in olney, has shaken this philadelphia neighborhood. A man, found dead, inside of a burning car, this car, a black mitsubishi galante. The body was burned beyond recognition. We cannot tell at this time, age or a race. It is a john doe at this time. Reporter Philadelphia Police were ones to spot burning car just before 8 00 oclock wednesday night while on routine patrol. Vick them was found on the passenger side and pronounced dead on the scene. Investigators believe he may have been involve in the shooting just three blocks away on roselyn street earlier in the day. No victim was found there, but eyewitnesses on roselyn street described seeing that same car. Interviewed several witness hose did say a male was shot while sitting in the passenger seat of a mitsubishi. Reporter Police Say Driver then sped away. At this point no arrests have have been made. Heavy set man was seen running away from the burning car, but it is unclear how, or if, he is involved. It is also unclear who may have shot the victim and if he is, indeed the same man was found burned beyond recognition. We can the not tell at this time if he is shot. Of course, nobody is touching the the body or the vehicle. We are hold ago this vehicle as a crime scene. Reporter the medical Examiners Office will conduct an autopsy, to determine the id and to determine the cause and manor of death looking to see if this victim was indeed shot in the head. On the first day of classes Mainland Regional High School will have a moment of silence for a student killed in the horrific crash. More than 1,000 people attended a vigil in linwood, new jersey last night for 14 yearold ashley cook. The 14 yearold died one day were her first day of high school. Cook succumbed to injuries to a crash on saturday. She was in a car were four teammates on their way to a Charity Soccer tournament. She was a team player. One of my best memories of her, you know, scoring that goal in the final second to win the championship for us. Next week her soccer team will take the the feel without her, but her number four jersey will be retired until the year she would have graduated. Funeral services will be held today for cullen keffer, one of three Council Rock South High School Students killed in the crash in the poconos over the weekend.
