Jamie yuccas tells us about an experimental treatment that uses stem cells. Christopher little woke up three years ago, and couldnt move his left side. I know it happened between 10 00 at night and 4 30 in the morning when my phone oral large went off for work. And i couldnt get out every bed. Turns out he suffered a stroke, by the time he got to the hospital it was too late for Current Treatment to work. Doctors told him about an experimental option at the Cleveland Clinic using stem cells. The treatment called multi stem involves donor adult stem cells grown in the lab which are given to the patient through iv. Stem cells, change, new response of the body to the stroke. And it will turn down the immune response. New study in the journal lancit neurology looked at 129 patients. Half got the stem cells, half a placebo, researchers found those who received the cells within 36 hours had better recovery at one year including chris. We dont know fully, but we like but i can say has done well. Researchers hope with more study this approach could become an option for stroke patients who miss that critical treatment window. Chris had to learn to walk again. I can use my hands and everything and you can walk without a walker or pain or anything. I think ive done real good. A growing event he started after seeing an emerging number of drone videos without a proper outlet to showcase their work. Drones are all over the place. Amateur film maker doug, grew up in rural kansas, scored these views every his familys sweetheart. Here in kansas, food for the people of the worlds. The drone allows you to go hi, go low, i mean, you can go get a roll close shot, but filmed from the air or you can go up high and see the whole filed. Temperatures are pretty much too warm today above freezing, a lot of salt on the ground, Road Conditions will be okay, just more after nuisance when driving, light snow showers north of the city right now, some drizzle, from philadelphia on southward, into central delaware. And new jersey, then we get break western pennsylvania, but there is the upper level for this storm over the great lakes. Thats that still needs to get through. That comes through overnight. So i think thats what contains our best chance to see the colder air with chance for some snow showers in philly, just reminder, hey it is still winter. Thirtynine at the airport, 33 al own town. There are some locations below freezing at this hour. Nice breeze coming in off the ocean. Ocean water temperature at 40. Will keep the air temperatures in the whos today along the coastline, some of the miler air will push inland. Still running good 10 degrees below average. Storm system moves out of the great lakes, not very strong, still moves off shore, but by the time it energizes pretty far off shore. Still wrap around moisture overnight tonight, will be out of here by sunrise tomorrow morning, sunshine returning. We set up to see nice first day of spring, little cool, but at least a shot of reaching 50 degrees next chance every rain will hold off until later on monday night into tuesday morning. So again, snowfall accumulation frost this model, this is through 9 00 tonight. Maybe a coating to an inch. Lehigh valley some of the nonpaved surfaces up to 2 inches in the poconos, but overnight some of the snow showers could get down into Chester County, maybe even parts of new castle county, delaware, again, little if anything expected as far as accumulation. It would be on nonpaved surfaces, temperatures running into the 40s later this morning, still 30s to the north, reporting some snow, Lehigh Valley i think guys see the change over to liquid rain by the afternoon, but then later tonight, colder again, some of the snow showers try to dive back down southward, i think the shore stays all rain, for this event. Tomorrows highs, similar to today, mid 40s, even with some sunshine. So about 10 degrees below average today. Showers at times. Wet snowflakes to the north. East wind 10 miles per hour. Then tonight, rain, ending as snow showers, even around the city. Temperature about 44. Still above freezing, so thats a good thing, then the forecast, better finish to the weekends, clearing skies tomorrow, 46 the high. Near 50 for the first day of spring, 54 tuesday, probably our warmest day out of the next p. Stays nice and dry. Another shot of colder air wednesday, back to the 40s. The Public Schools of cinnaminson are trying to solve our problems one invention at a time. Cinnaminson township is celebrating it 32nd annual invention convention. And our Vittoria Woodill got to see some shrewd End Solutions firsthand, it is todays einstein Healthcare CenterScience Center report. The Memorial School in cinnaminson was filled with 70 impressive invention displays made by kid inventors. From kinder guards tone eighth grade, they werent just expected to invent, they were expected to innovate. And make problem solving a priority. They made their own first grader Jamison Peacock worked on saving from a sweat. I thought you wouldnt want to waste all of your energy going up and down the ladder, sorry events this. He had a, made notes in your lunch box easier with a lcd writing pad. It is something that you can write on, that uses Magnetic Field to erase it, and has 3,000 lights. That go a tremendous process, researching, on the internet, going to stores, they come up with all of these amazing ideas, things for the house, safety ideas, and always unique. The ideas these kids were not only well thought out, but developed in detail. The problem that i want to solve is having too many tshirts and being sad when you grow out of your tshirts and your memories are just gone. So my invention is for tshirt to come with fringe along the bottom or on the sides, so instead of buying a whole new tshirt for every like vacation you go on, or an accomplishment you make, you can tie a ribbon, then tie a ribbon on the fringe, so that you dont have too many tshirts that your clause let never overflow.
