School Officials Say this user a body camera battle of sorts underway today in a boston courtroom. Boston police commissioner, william evans, what took the stand was questioned under oath about the decision to force Police Officers to wear body cameras. Reporter this was a dramatic court battle, the police union trying to stop the Body Camera Program from launching, at least as is. The summer you might remember them union and city of boston agree to a Pilot Program that would outfit 100 officers, with cameras but officers had to volunteer. The city says no one volunteered and they had no choice but to instead randomly select those 100 officers to participate. The union says they did not agree to ordering officers to where the cameras, and that in fact, they told the city that they would not accept that. The city made overtures to us that they were unilaterally i told them, i told the commissioner this, anyone that would listen, unilaterally implement this, without our agreement, we would be against it. I had a feeling, from speaking to different officers, that they were told not to volunteer. I dont think there was just the uncertainty, on their part, what they should do. Reporter Boston Police commissioner, william evans, testifying at the hearing today, saying he believes the union was telling its officers not to volunteer. Program, no one came forward and it is now his Lawful Authority to assign the cameras to those officers. The union denying that he told officers not to volunteer. They are seeking an injunction from the court, to stop the program for moving forward. That hearing will continue tomorrow, and the judge will rule after that. It is going to be a battle. A University Police officer has just been fired, after being charged earlier in the day with exposing himself to a exposed himself to a student, who was working, at the Campus Police station. The victim says, right after it happened, he apologized. He is free on 500 bail, but again, has been fired. Also banned from the campus. Buchanan stopped for a moment, then sped off down the highway. Jeanette died on scene. Buchanan later turned himself in to police. I could smell a of alcoholic beverages emanating from mr. Mckenna. Reporter prosecutors say there were none two witnesses to deadly hit and run. One of the witnesses was riding around on his scooter with a go pro and happen to capture part of the crime.
