The visibility down below two miles in coatesville. Its hazleton thats seeing some thick fog in the mountains, while mt. Pocono has good visibility at 3 miles. And 5mile visibility for wilmington. Just light fog for northeast philadelphia, mt. Holly and wrightstown. Yesterday during the morning hours, we saw dense fog in dover, millville, atlantic city, but right now, 5 to 6mile visibility, looking good. Well see sunshine today. Pretty typical construction for drivers in new jersey. 295 southbound, the offramp to route 42 is blocked until about 5 00 this morning due to the road work in that area. And speaking of road work, we also have some on 76. This is the westbound side right at 30th street. Its out there once again this morning. And behind this truck, thats where the right lane is blocked. Its not really causing a delay, but its still something for you to be aware of. And 76, i mentioned we have that construction westbound. Nothing happening eastbound. We had some overnight construction eastbound. That has since cleared. The blue route is clear in both directions. 95 looks good southbound, but northbound there is a spot of construction right near girard. Chris . All right, two minutes after 4 00. We continue to follow breaking news out of philadelphia. Kind of a bizarre situation unfolding here. Two wouldbe burglars are trapped inside a target right now and police have the building surrounded. Nbc 10s jesse gary also on scene live in bustleton. Jesse, whats going on there . Reporter chris, police have units ringing the outside of this target store here in bustleton and also have the Fire Department on scene, providing access to the roof to make sure the wouldbe robbers do not escape. Investigators say the pair tripped a silent alarm inside the store earlier this morning. Target Security Officers watched the robbers in realtime on Surveillance Video cameras and then called police. Officers responded to the store. While the two men tried to escape via the roof, police used a Fire Department engine ladder to move on to the roof, blocking that possible escape route. Just in the past couple minutes, canine officers have gone inside the store and are now searching inside, looking for this pair of robbers. A Montgomery County community remembered six family members murdered in mondays killing spree. The victims friends and classmates came together for this vigil at Emanuel Lutheran Church in souderton last night. That took place not long after the manhunt for the suspect, brad stone, ended. Search teams found his body in the woods near his home in pennsburg yesterday afternoon. He died, says the coroner, from selfinflicted stab wounds. Our hearts are broken. Our communities are broken. I tried to hold it together a little bit, but everyones emotions really poured out tonight. Now, brad stone killed his exwife and five of her relatives on monday. The divorced couples two daughters are in protective custody. The only person to survive that killing spree is 17yearold anthony flick, the nephew of stones exwife. Hes in serious but stable condition this morning. His mother, father and 14yearold sister were killed. Happening today, former Philadelphia Traffic Court judge tomathine tynes is accused of accepting a 2,000 tiffany bracelet in exchange for a towing contract with traffic court. Now, two weeks ago, she was sentenced to two years in federal prison for purgery charges for her part in a ticketfixing scandal. And two pennsylvania lawmakers also face charges in the same corruption investigation that swept up tynnes. Representatives rob waters and Vanessa Lowry brown turned themselves in on briberyrelated charges yesterday. The District Attorney says the democrats admitted to taking illegal cash payments. He says a lobbyist turned informant recorded conversations of him giving money to waters and brown in exchange for their influence in harrisburg. I need a contribution. Ill take cash. Informant how much . Brown 500, is that too much . Thats the d. A. Reading the transcript of the investigation there. Two other state representatives from philadelphia are also accused in this scandal along with tynnes, as we mentioned earlier. Charges have not yet been filed against the other two. We have new information this morning in the case of a man accused of kidnapping a philadelphia woman. The federal trial for Delvin Barnes was moved from next month to may of next year because the defense requested additional time. Barnes is accused of abducting carlesha freelandgaither off of a germantown street on november 2nd. We all remember the Surveillance Video of her abduction there. Investigators tracked down barnes and the victim three days later in maryland. If barnes is convicted, he could face life in prison. Six minutes after 4 00 now. Happening later today, the Montgomery County teen who was convicted of stabbing his girlfriend to death is set to be sentenced. Tristan staley killed Julie Ann Stiller and left her body in a wooded area of stip yack township. Police say he told his mother and she turned him in. Because he was 16 years old at the time, he faces 35 years to life in prison instead of an automatic life sentence. Also, a Delaware County teacher and coach is set to be arraigned for sexually assaulting a student. Police say bill barber and a 15yearold girl had a sexual encounter in his office at Garnet Valley middle school in september. They say prior to that, the girl sent him nude photos and the two exchanged sexrelated text messages. An update now on that hazing scandal involving a north Jersey High School football team. The sayreville Athletic Director is now suspended. The board of education made that decision last night. Now, this came after younger players accused their teammates of holding them down, beating them and even sexually assaulting them. The head football coach is suspended from teaching and coaching and seven players are facing charges. New jerseys schools actually saw a decline in bullying, violence and weapons incidents last school year, a 9 decrease from the 20122013 school year. Bullying incidents alone have been cut in half since schools were required in 2011 to document and investigate every allegation. Well, why enjoy the mummers only on new years day . Now you dont have to. The mummers are bringing a Mardi Gras Parade to philadelphia in 2015. And you heard it first here on nbc 10 news. Sources close to the Mummers Association tell us that the costumed performers and musicians will strut down main street manayunk on sunday, february 22nd. Organizers hope the Mardi Gras Parade will raise thousands of dollars for the mummers and help preserve the tradition. I think it just adds to the allure of manayunk. I mean, theres already the bike race that comes through here. Its certainly a hub of all kind of entertainment. Manayunk businesses looking forward to cashing in on that sunday. The mummers Mardi Gras Parade in manayunk is centered on families. Organizers say they hope this is the start of an annual tradition. The interview is scheduled to open on christmas day, but now some theaters are canceling showings of the comedy because of some very serious threats. So, the group called guardians of peace, the group that claimed responsibility for the sony hack, has a warning for theatergoers stay away. And they posted their warning online. The Group Released a new message online that threatens violence against movie theaters that show the film. The interview is a comedy about an assassination attempt on north Korean Leader kim jongun. According to the hollywood reporter, Carmike Cinemas was the first to cancel planned screenings of the film. There are several carmike theaters in our area, including ones in dover, allentown and voorhees. Now, the threat has Law Enforcement in new york and los angeles stepping up security. We take those threats very seriously, and we will take extra precautions during the holidays at theaters. The department of Homeland Security said there is no credible intelligence to indicate an active plot against theaters but said it was still analyzing those threatening messages. Now, Sony Pictures has told theater owners that they can cancel their plans to show the film. Were waiting to see what theater chains across the country decide to do. Just hours after she told the nbc 10 investigators that she was afraid her exboyfriend might kill her, a glen olden woman was dead. Investigators say former Colwyn Police officer Stephen Rozniakowski killed that woman monday night and then the womans husband shot him. This morning, rozniakowski is charged with murder. Investigators say he gunned down his exgirlfriend, valerie morrow, at her home in night, rather. He also shot and wounded morrows teenage daughter. Then morrows husband, who is also a cop for another city, another borough, returned fire, wounding rozniakowski. He went there to execute the entire family, in my opinion. I have no doubt about that. Three hours before that shooting, police served rozniakowski with a court order, telling him to stay away from his former girlfriend. The nbc 10 investigators first told you about rozniakowski in an exclusive report last april after Police Arrested him for allegedly stalking an exfiancee after she called off their wedding. Today marks 30 days in sanctuary for a honduranborn woman who is battling the government over her deportation. Angela navarro is living inside a West Kensington church in north philadelphia. West Kensington Ministry church. She says she will stay there with her husband and two kids until immigration and Customs Enforcement end her final deportation order. Today, more than 200 religious leaders and politicians will deliver letters of support to immigration officials on her behalf. Navarro is one of eight undocumented immigrants in the u. S. Living in sanctuary. Well, president obama has signed the 1 trillion spending plan to avoid a government shutdown. Now, this keeps most Government Operations running until september. The one exception is the Homeland Security department, which will run out of money in february, and it could touch off a debate over immigration. Governorelect tom wolf will discuss pennsylvanias finances today. Wolf will inherit a nearly 2 billion budget shortfall when he is sworn in as governor next month. Jeb bush told his followers on facebook and twitter that he has decided to actively explore the possibility of running for president of the united states. The next and final round of new jerseys Superstorm Sandy relief money will likely pay for housing for victims. Governor Chris Christies administration announced plans for spending nearly 502 million in federal aid. About 440 million of that would be used to complete repairs on all eligible sandydamaged homes and to make more rental units available. The state will hold public hearings next month to discuss how that money will be spent. Well, it is another step in the revitalization of a philadelphia neighborhood.
