Looking at the schuylkill expressway near montgomery drive, theres not a lot of volume this early in the morning. So we are not seeing the delays. Taking a look at the drive times, well speak of the schuylkill expressway all green near the blue route and the vine near the conshohocken curve. From the blue route to the vine street expressway is 13 minutes. The same the other way. Chris . The Investigation Continues into the Montgomery County couple that was found by their son son. Katy zachry is live with more outside the Lower Moreland Police department with a lot of questions on how this couple died. Reporter thats right. People are waking up this morning to a lot of unanswered questions. What we do know is the autopsy will be done later today. With that information, investigators should know more about exactly what happened inside that home right at 1100 country lane. As it stands Police Describe the scene inside as brutal and gruesome. Just before 1 00 yesterday afternoon, a couple was found dead in their Huntington Valley home discovered by their teenager son. A chainsaw was found near the bodies of the 48yearold man and 43yearold woman. Both with lacerations to their body. Police are not looking for any suspects at this time. At least one of the deaths they tell us is being described as a homicide. But investigators are waiting on more information from the medical examiner today before labeling the other death. Now n the next half hour you will hear from a family friend who describes the struggle that this couple had gone through recently. Youll hear from him coming up at 4 30. Jessica and bernie face child endangerment charges. The ferret mauled the girls face when she was 1monthold. The woman who blamed the death on her child on her other children is going to be in front of a judge. Whitney stanford was convicted of killing her 2monthold son back in 2003. Prosecutors said she shook the baby and banged the head against furniture and then told police her daughter knocked the boy out of a swing. And the son of delaware congressman john carney is being sued by the family of a College Student who died in what the suit calls a hazing incident. Tracy davidson is live in the Digital Operations Center this morning. Tracy, this lawsuit comes before the Sheriffs Office there in South Carolina has even determined how the student died right . Reporter correct, chris. The parents of tucker hicks filed two lawsuits asking for more than 50 million in the death of their son that happened in september. And Samuel Carney is named as the defendant in both lawsuits along with the fraternity university and two other Fraternity Members. 19yearold tucker hicks fell from a bridge into rocky Shallow Water during a sigma epsilon run last september. The lawsuit claims there was some type of confrontation during the run because hicks didnt bring breakfast as he was ordered to do. Hicks parents claim that carney and two other Fraternity Members have been deceptive into the investigation into his death. They released a statement saying, no one, certainly no parent, can feel anything but sympathy for this familys grief and anger. We have faith that those trusted with investigative and Legal Authority will do the right thing. Our our they also asked four pledges to jump out over water aeroand swim to shore. Right now the coroner has not ruled on the cause of death. Tracy davidson nbc 10 news. 4 06 now. The death of a Cumberland County man in Police Custody is raising questions this morning. Witnesses tell nbc 10 that Violent Police officers punched and kicked a man after they handcuffed him on the street. Slow all units down. Subject under apprehension. The arresting officer told us what happened. Witnesses said officers already had him restrained and on the ground when they got violent with him. They punched him, kicked him and let the dog out of the car and the dog bit him in the face and on his body. Now a dog could be heard in that 911 report as well, or the dispatch recording. A local activist is demanding to know what happened to white. The fact of the matter is mr. Phillip white is gone hes no longer here with us and he died in Police Custody. So were trying to figure out why. Now the Cumberland CountyProsecutors Office is investigating the death. The police chief said the departments sincere thoughts and prayers are with whites family and the officers involved. Well charges could be filed today against the exfirefighter accused of holding four firefighters hostage one day after he was let go from the department. 25yearold paul jordan threatened the men with a handgun when he showed up at the lamont fire company yesterday. Jordan even fired a shot into the basement wall while holding them hostage. He surrendered just over an hour later. His neighbors say this doesnt sound like the man they know. It doesnt match up at all to that type of guy, no. Hes a respectable person. We never thought that people could do Something Like that. It makes no sense. Like he gets mad, i dont know. Jordan is a property manager for the Philadelphia Housing Authority and worked for the salvation armys response team. After he surrendered, he was taken in for a mental eel have auation. Eight minutes after 4 00 now, the Montgomery CountyDistrict Attorney can now decide if Kathleen Kane will face criminal charges. The county judge ruled they had the authority to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate grand jury leaks tied to kanes office. They are looking whether kane gave secret information to a newspaper. She could face perjury, obstruction and other charges. Today officials in one county could make a decision on a controversial verizon cell phone tower. The William Penn Fire Company would make 20,000 for the proposed tour being located behind the firehouse and it would improve communication and response times, but neighbors say the big cell phone tower would be an eyesore. Were working to find out the victims condition and also trying to find out a motive for the stabbing as Police Continue to look for the attacker. Well, in the germanwings plane crash, the airline says it knew years ago about the copilot on the doomed jet suffering from severe depression. Andreas lubitz was dealing with the condition before finishing Flight Training in 2009. They found emails he sent to the Flight School saying the depression had faded. The voice recorded lubitz crashing the jet on purpose killing all 150 people on board. Well, police have still not released the name of the woman killed inside a northeast philadelphia nail salon yesterday. Investigators tell us an elderly driver accidentally hit the gas and plowed into the salon on bustleton avenue. Another customer and ago worker at the salon are in critical condition. The driver is okay. Police do not expect to file charges against her. This is 24 7 but it kills people and really hurts them bad. Christopher wheeler head of the tower hills school in wilmington faces at least 50 years in prison for dealing child porn. School officials sent a letter home to the parents and community on monday detailing the results of their investigation. The school said it found no evidence that wheeler abused any students. Tower hills school retained a private firm to investigate his hiring and tenure at the school. That investigation lasted six months and they interviewed 90 people including board members, faculty, students staff and wheelers neighbors and found no sign that anyone knew about the child porn or any sexual misconduct. The head of the school and the sheriff said quote, there were no red flags of any abuse or misconduct by dr.
