Just about ten min you wanteds ago, someone set a police car on fire outside city hall. Police officers quickly put that fire out. And we know officers arrested a handful of people outside the Police Department tonight. Additional guardingsmen are stationed at the front of the department where Police Officers stood. This time, last night. Nchsz the National Guard had 1600 fewer troops in the area last night when vandals set more than a dozen buildings on fire. Speaking of trouble, president obama condemned the violence and destruction in ferguson. Burning buildings, torching cars, destroying property, putting people at risk. Thats trublgtive and theres no excuse for it. Michael browns father defended his son saying the grand jury crucified him. For people who didnt know my son, they probably wish they did. The things that theyre saying, its just terrible. He also spoke out against the violence during many of the protests in ferguson and around the country. In his first public statements tonight, officer wilson says his confrontation with Michael Brown wont haunt him because, the reason i have a clean conscience is because i know i did my job right. Here in philadelphia, hundreds of protesters chanted and marched through the streets for hours. They even stopped and sat down outside the ninth district Police Department. For me, that means body cameras on officers. The crowd tonight marched for miles, many of them starting at city hall, marching up to north philadelphia and then here through fairmount, noisy and determined the entire way. At moments tonight, emotion turned into a verbal faceoff, and even a sitin outside this Police Precinct created tension. But through night 2 of phillys ferguson protest, this crowd of several hundred remained largely peaceful. This man released tonight is one of only two as since yesterday. A Disorderly Conduct charge for rushing onto i95 last night. This evening, the crowd of all races and ages walked the streets of north philadelphia. Tom mass poley, a swath moral student, marched for one reason. Just the feeling, alive and a black man in america just doesnt matter. Many protesters demanded that Police Officers, including those in our area, started wearing body cameras to record their onthejob actions. I know theres a lot of difficult logistics involved in that, but it seems like a great step in managing accountability. I think that this is a major issue and its been shoved under the rug for so many years. These are things where people told us were so many years ago, but the problems are still here and we still have to deal with them. For their part, philadelphia policing acknowledging that managing the crowds on the streets has been a tremendous pull on its manpower. But, again, most of the protests have been lawful and peaceful and the Department Leadership has been firm in saying that they want to give these protesters an opportunity to exercise their First Amendment rights. A battle over booze prices. Some customers say popular restaurant chain t. G. I. Fridays overcharged them for drinks. So a south Jersey Law Firm is suing. It says fridays did not print drink prices on the menus, which state raw requires. Also, fridays charged different prices for the same drink even inside the same locations. It extends from the Washington Area all the way up into parts of maine. So we expected dangerous travel through the day tomorrow with askumlating snow here. You really dont want to be traveling through the nort east tomorrow if you dont have to. Maybe wait until early thanksgiving morning. Lehigh valley, rain by 7 00 in the morning, snow in the poconos. This is 9 00 in the morning, you see snow through much of the area here. It continues through the early afternoon hours, accumulating snow. We expect the highest amounts in this area, too. Even by 6 00 tomorrow evening, still expecting the snow here and then quickly leaving through tomorrow night. Its going to be an allday event for most of the day tomorrow, for most of the areas. Rain moves in overnight through the philadelphia area. The i95 car door and then we start to see the rainsnow line shifting closer to the philadelphia area. This is by 10 00 in the morning. We could have heavy rain changing over to heavy snow. And the rain snow line will kind of be me and andering around the i95 corridor. And then well see it all clear out. As far as south jersey and delaware is concerned, rain through the Early Morning hours, 7 00. And then periods of heavy rain through the later Morning Hours, still staying mostly as rain. Temperatures a e little too warm there. But then on the back of the system, as it moves away, 7 00 p. M. Tomorrow night, we could see a changeover for delaware and south jersey to snow is. We could see a little bit of an accumulation because of that. Now, here is the snowfall forecast. For the poconos, anywhere 23r 812 imps. Through the lehigh valley, we could see 58 inches. North and west of philadelphia, possibly 35 inches with some of the hef yer, wet snow. Remember, this is going to be the area where we see the rainsnow line. Across the philadelphia region, we could see 13 inches. Really, depending on what part of philadelphia, you could get a burst of heavy, wet snow. That heavy, wet snow does have the potential to cause Power Outages, too. Just something we cant rule out. We could see 13 inches, but closer to the shore, praktically nothing in those areas, at least nothing youll be measuring. Now, the techltures will be dropping through the Morning Hours tomorrow once the snow moves in the north and west around the 30s. Well be hanging at near freezing so that will allow this to be more of a woet snow event for much of the area. For tonight, rain mostly after 3 00 a. M. Snow up in the poconos. Temperatures in the 30s. We drop down once to freezing once that snow moves in. That is certainly something that well be tracking for. Well be tracking it tomorrow throughout the entire day. But as we go into thursday, thanksgiving, we really dry out a lot. We clear up. Temperatures on the colder side, around 40 degrees. But that will be a dry day. So i would suggest if you have not gotten where you need to go now and you have to travel somewhere around the north east or just driving long distances especially, i would really wait until thursday morning. The roadway is not looking good tomorrow. And the fact that the snow is heavy and wet makes a big difference, too. Owe, thats why were saying the potential for outages. And our first time driving on it of the season. So were going to be not used to et. Well, the pavements, it should be meting on the pavements. If we do have bursts of heavy snow, we could see slushiness on the roadways. So just be very careful. We try to urge that else specially around this time of year.
