Officers were called to a home in hammonton after a woman called 911 saying her boyfriend fired agun inside the home. Nbc10s katy zachry is live there at the home. There are a lot of questions about how this ended. Reporter yeah, all morning, chris week trying to get answers. Investigators with the Atlantic CountyProsecutors Office, theyre now investigating this case, they have since left the scene, so theres a single Hammonton Police officer who remains on scene. There were some very tense moments overnight between police. And people who live at the Whispering Pine s condominium complex here in hammonton, thats before 10 30, police got a call from a distraught woman saying her boyfriend had a gun inside the condo and he fired a shot and they were worried what he was going to do next. When Police Arrived they also heard one shot, possibly two fired inside the condo. They set up the perimeter not sure what they were dealing with. They called in officers from as far as the jersey shore for backup. Around 3 30 this morning, as soon as we got on scene, the standoff ended. The barricade was lifted. I then got to the scene because police allowed us to get closer. I talked to an investigator who was leaving. He tells me there were no injuries to police. There were no injuries to the woman who made the call about the distraught boyfriend with the gun. But he wouldnt tell me if there were injuries to the man with the gun inside. He was not arrested. I do want to note, initially, they told us that this was a situation where the man fired at police. But they said that was not the case. That the individual never fired at police, nor did he threaten to shoot police. So its still a fluid situation. Were waiting on scene to get more information. Police say Corporal Mike mccann eye killed a suspect yesterday in an exchange of gunfire in magnolia county. He was wanted for domestic violence. Only a few investigators remain. One Hammonton Police officer, we did see a body removed from the scene. Heres the back story, there were a lot of ten moments for police and people who live here at the whispering thats because just before 10 30 last night, police got a caught from a distraught woman saying that her boyfriend had a gun inside one of the condos here. He had fired a shot. He was worried what he was going to do next. When Police Arrived they heard another shot. They set up a perimeter, called in other officers as far as the jersey shore. Around 3 30 this morning when we got on scene, the standoff ended. Just a short time ago, a few minutes ago, the medical examiner removed a body from inside the condo. Now, investigators still wont tell us who died. Weve been trying to find out all morning. We do know there were no injuries to police. There were no injuries to any witnesses, including the police. So were led to believe that the body we saw a short time ago is the gunman but the circumstances surrounding the gunmans death. They are still unclear. I reached out several times to the Atlantic CountyProsecutors Office trying to talk to officers at the scene. Theyre tightlipped about the investigation. And Hammonton Police, theyre not releasing any information because as far as theyre concerned the Prosecutors Office is investigating. Were going to stay on this. A young woman was beaten by another woman as a toddler looks on. Its disturbing. Were showing you this clip because police chief wanted to identify some of the people in this video. He posted on his Facebook Page. The video, lets go to it on fuel, the woman is punching another woman on the ground. Hitting her in the face repeatedly. Watch the victims young son, the toddler standing there trying to kick the woman attacking his mother. There are plenty of other people standing around watching this happen. The toddler is the only one trying to intervene. Again, several times he tried to kick the woman attacks his mother there. And the woman threatened to actually kick the toddler in the face if he didnt stop. Fortunately, the child was not hurt. Police chief wrote on his Facebook Page the chargers against the attacker are currently being filed. Once the woman has set bail,. Woman will be put in jail. The police chief thanks the people who turned over the video to him. A philadelphia woman talked about being choked robbed and attacked by a man. The ordeal was captured on surveillance video. It happened at the oxford apartment complex. The video showed the suspect following her across the parking lot. Once inside he grabbed her, dragged her to her suv. Threatens to kill her unless she gets someone else to bring more money. A friend shows up with cash. The suspect took the money and took off in the suv. I think he was waiting for the first person to get into the parking lot. I was in the wrong moment on the wrong place. The incumbent announced that food manufacturer deitz watson is 68ing 158 new jobs in philadelphia. A community will gather to go an update on its fight on the sunoco in his back yard. Sunoco wants to put a pumping station. And the company owns a dormant pipeline beneath the property and wants to push propane through that property. As you see here, from skyforce 10, the problem is, its property is in the middle of an area zoned residential. Neighbors say pumping explosive products here will put their safety at risk. Unfortunately, police are tightlipped about who lost their life. This is the back story. This is video. 10 30 last night, hammon police got a call from a distraught woman saying that her boyfriend was in the condo. He had fired it at least once. When Police Arrived they heard a second shot. Called in backup from all the way around from the jersey shore. And at 3 30 the standoff ended. As we say, a medical examine did remove a body. Vissers wont tell us who died. We do know no police were injured including the woman who called police. That would lead you to believe that the armed man, her boyfriend, has lost his life.
