And because there is an investigation around this, crews have shut down the new jersey turnpike southbound between exits 4 and exit 2 for southbound drivers. So, going to my map, heres an alternate. Youre going to be detoured at exit 4, which is route 73. Youre going to take that north to 295 southbound, and that will get you around this mess. Moving on now. The northeast extension of the pennsylvania turnpike, there is an accident right at the quakertown exit involving two tractortrailers, but fortunately, it seems to be off to the shoulder, not affecting traffic too much there. Finally, a look in chester county, route 202 right near route 401 where there is active construction in both directions. But right now, its not tying things up there. 6 02. Lets take you back to the scene of this breaking news. Nbc 10 has been following this for over an hour in bucks county. A fire at a dance center. And weve just learned that one firefighter was injured in fighting this fire. This fire that happened at the Bucks County Dance Center in bensalem. Weve learned that the firefighters injuries are minor. A live picture here again from the scene. This is on the 2200 block of street road in bensalem. The fire started about 90 minutes ago. It is fully contained at this time. We see no more smoke at the scene there. Firefighters still doing some mopup there. No one inside the building was injured, but the firefighter did suffer minor injuries. Well take you back for more on this information as soon as we get it. It is 56 degrees, 6 03 right now. An investigation is under way to find out how a Health Care Worker was infected with ebola. That worker from Texas Health Presbyterian hospital had treated ebola patient thomas duncan, who died last week. The investigation is now focused on two areas how that worker removed her protective gear and also the type of procedures performed on duncan that could have caused exposure to bodily fluids. Besides this Health Care Worker, duncan was the only ebola patient in the u. S. Not treated at a hospital with a specialized unit for handling highrisk germs. New from overnight, a woman is dead after crushing her car in northeast philadelphia. That happened after midnight on willits road near welsh. Police say she lost control of the car, slammed into a parked car and overturned and was thrown out of the drivers side window. She died at the scene. Well, eagles fans, as we have been mentioning, youre waking up happy this morning after the birds dominated the new york giants in sunday night football. Within minutes, word started spreading on twitter, and just a couple of hours after the win, investigators say a train operator on the broad street line found a prosthetic leg while doing a sweep at fern rock station, about ten miles north of the stadium. The manhunt for eric frein is now entering its fifth week, and officers hope the weather could play in their favor. Frein has been on the run since september 12th, when investigators say he shot and killed a state trooper and injured a second trooper. Hundreds of officers have been searching the woods for frein, focusing in an area around his parents home in monroe county. They hope that as the leaves start to fall, theyll gain the advantage over frein. As the investigation into a hazing scandal at a Central New Jersey high school continues, it appears next years football season could also be in jeopardy. This years season at Sayreville War Memorial High School has already been canceled. Seven members of that team are facing charges after prosecutors say they forced sex acts on freshmen players as part of a hazing ritual. Last night, Community Members held a vigil to show their support for the alleged victims. The superintendent now is reportedly considering canceling next years season as well. Sayrevilles mayor says thats something he will discuss with school officials. Now from our delaware bureau, a newark man is accused of causing a deadly dui crash. Police say that robert hicksons car hit two men walking on milltown road in wilmington early sunday morning, killing one of them and injuring the other. Hickson has been arraigned on a number of charges and is free after posting bail. Well, Bill Campbell was certainly smiling down on lincoln financial field last night. Today the dean of philadelphia sportscasters will be remembered at a funeral mass. Campbell died last monday at the age of 91. Family and friends attended a viewing yesterday at the blake doyle funeral home in collingswood. This mornings funeral begins at 11 00 at christ the king church in haddonfield. Campbell was, of course, the man behind the mike when Wilt Chamberlain scored 100 points in a game. He also broadcast the eagles 1960 championship. The philadelphia archdiocese is considering a new list of churches to be studied for possible murders or closure. St. Genevieve Catholic Church in flourtown is 1 of 14 churches on the list. All of the churches will have to prove that they have the parishioners and the money to stay open. St. Genevieve members say with more than 1,500 families, healthy donations and 250 students in their parish school, they hope theyll be okay. They cover thousands of miles of road in pennsylvania. It turns out, they will be paying more for salt this winter. 6 more a ton. And that quickly adds up when you consider the department uses tens of thousands of tons of salt any given winter. The good news is, this spike in price will not affect penndot until 2015, when the current salt contract expires. And when they do have to pay more for salt, they tell me they will have the money budgeted. Yes, it is an increase in the cost that were paying, but obviously, its the cost of doing business and we need to have that material to keep the roads passable for our citizens. Now, in addition to prepping for the Winer Penndot is in the middle of a Major Construction season, but a few big projects are going to have to wait until the winter is over. An Atlantic City man is back behind bars two days after being released from prison, and police say its because he murdered his mother. Neighbors tell the press of Atlantic City that the pratt family had just thrown a Welcome Home Party for steven pratt, who was released from prison on friday. Yesterday morning, police got a call and they found his 64yearold mother, gwendolyn, dead inside her home on mckinley avenue. Investigators say she died from apparent head injuries. Steven pratt was arrested at the scene. Now, he had just been released from prison less than 48 hours earlier after serving a 30year sentence for killing his neighbor in 1984. The cdc is calling this a breach of protocol, but the woman says she doesnt know how she could have been infected. She had all of the proper protective gaear on, she says. Some Health Care Providers say theyve braced for an influx of patients, especially the very young and the elderly. And new information from delaware officials where the department of health in that state is sharing information with other medical providers and institutions on how to screen for and prevent the transmission of infectious diseases. Many people worried theyve contracted either ebola or enterovirus will head for a Doctors Office or a clinic. Registered nursehell dorm helen dorm says theyve put more people on the clock to handle a possible load increase. Every year this is our busiest time of year, so we are actively supporting our staff. Most of our clinics have two rooms. And when we can and when the need arises, we staff both of them. Reporter wait times, she says, may increase as it did a couple of years ago during the h1n1 outbreak. She says all patients who need medical care will receive it. Police said there will be extra security today on campus. Happening today, a new panel of mediators begin another round of negotiations between septa and its Train Engineers Union. They took the little girl to the hospital, but she died. Neighbors are outraged by the loss of that innocent life. Im traumatized.
