But the drive times dont indicate a big delay. 13 minutes in both ways near woodhaven. Two people are stabbed and one person is dead after a fight spilled out into the street. Matt delucia hoonas been on the scene since just before 4 00 a. M. Sounds like police have solid leads in this case. Reporter police say there are three big things with this investigation, witnesses, cameras and evidence found here at the scene. But right now one man is dead and another in Critical Condition at the hospital. Just behind me you can see this is the bar where this all happened as we take a look at video from this morning in the 6300 block of stanton avenue. There was an argument at 2 30 this morning that started inside and continued outside when the stabbing happened. Two victims were stabbed several times. The witnesses put them in their car and froze them to einstein medical center. And the hospital workers called 911 where the victims were brought in. Detectives are now working on what this argument was all about. We are getting preliminary information there, this argument, they feel like they needed to in some dispute talk to an employee who was recently fired. Thats preliminary information right now. Reporter three witnesses are being interviewed by homicide detectives. And there are several businesses out here as well as a crime camera that captured part of this incident. A call came in at midnight about a strong odor in the area of 19th and lehigh. Crews arrived to vent the gas and make repairs. They evacuated several homes in the area with the people staying warm on a septa bus. It is 6 04. Let it go. It wont sing but thats what neighbors say about the frozen buildings in West Philadelphia. One of them is when will the fire marshall conclude the investigation . The other is how soon will the owner of this building will allowed to demolish it . That building was left this way on monday with dozens of firefighters battling a blaze here. Notice the split screen. The citys licenses and inspections device has deemed this structure imminently dangerous because the threestory building could collapse at any point. The owner wants to demolish it and some neighbors do agree. This is a done deal. It looks like it can in no way, shape or form stay an abandoned house. Reporter so before the demolition can take place, all neighboring structures must be tested to see if they can withstand an implosion if they choose to do so. Matthew refused to hand them over and then he was shot. Garcia is scheduled to be sentenced in two weeks. And happening today, the mayor of Atlantic City will deliver his state of the city address. Mayor guardian will speak during the Council Meeting and is expected to talk about cutting 15 million from the payroll budget. Atlantic citys finances are on the shaking ground because of casino prices and declines in real estate assessments. And tomorrow bankruptcy judges are expected to rule on the sale of the florida revel casino in Atlantic City. Yesterday the judge heard the decision to terminate the deal of former glenn straub after he tried to meet the deadline. But they are still negotiating with owners to salvage the 95 million sale. Two people were stabbed outside of a bar in the west oaks lane neighborhood this morning. Police say this stabbing followed an argument inside the bar. And a New Castle County woman wants to know why someone gunned down her son inside a Community Center. Investigators believe someone targeted jamar in sundays shooting but wont say why. He was in the Recording Studio in the Community Center building in new castle when the victim opened fire. His mother says she cant understand why anyone would do this and wants justice. They took a wonderful human being from the world and i just wish that they would catch him and say to him every day, just think about who they took from this world. We found a Security Camera pointed at the front doors of the Community Center but police havent said if theres video of the suspect. And a father is facing charges after his 4yearold accidentally crashed the car. The man left his son and 2yearold daughter alone in a running car. And the 4yearold climbed into the drivers seat putting the car into reverse causing a crash. Neither child was injured but the man was charged with child endayment. And penn states president eric beerend said they will set up a new office to deal with Sexual Misconduct issues and also have new training for faculty and staff and freshman have to take a course on student safety and wellbeing. A seminar in Atlantic City will tackle the questions surrounding Police Officers use of force. The presentation will focus on behavior during lifethreatening encounters and address how evidence is gathered and presented to the grand jury. The seminar starts at 9 30 at the convention center. And st. Louis police face an Excessive Force lawsuit stemming from an arrest caught on video. And it appears to show officers turning off the dash cam during the arrest. It happened last april as police say they pulled over a car matching the description from a call about shots fired. The dash cam caught a struggle with a man screaming and officers kicking him. And then ten seconds later the camera appeared to be turned off. Police then dropped the gun and possession charges against the man in the video and the Police Department did not discipline any of the officers. We may soon know the results of two federal investigations into the shooting death of Michael Brown in ferguson missouri. A grand jury did not indict officer Darren Wilson but the Justice Department has been investigating potential civil rights investigations. Attorney general eric holder expects the department to release its findings before he leaves office in the next few weeks. And the eagles safety nate allen speaks out after being detained by police in his home state of florida. Allen says he was falsely accused of exposing himself on monday in his hometown of ft. Myers. He was questioned by police fourandahalf hours before being released from custody due a lack of evidence. Allen said he did nothing wrong. We have an accident on 95 northbound near woodhaven road. We just got word of this most of it is on the Center Median there, but the one lane is blocked on 95 because of the emergency activity. As you can see right now drive times are not indicating too much of a delay, but we are getting a reading of nine minutes and thats usually seven minutes. Nine minutes for 422 eastbound from 29 to 76. Vai . Thank you, jillian. Breaking news a Murder Investigation is underway in philadelphia this morning after two people are stabbed outside of a bar. Investigators say the crime followed an argument. Nbc 10s matt delucia is live on the scene in West Oak Lane bring us uptodate. Reporter police say the video taken is playing a Critical Role in this investigation. One man is dead and another in Critical Condition. Right behind me at that bar is where that incident happened at 2 30 in the morning. The 6300 block of stinton avenue an argument happened inside the bar and continued outside. Thats when witnesses say the victims were stabbed several times. The witnesses were put into the they put the two men into their car and drove them to einstein medical center. The 29yearold tragically died. However, the 27yearold was stabbed multiple times is in Critical Condition. So theres a good possibility that the private vehicle had drove this 27yearold, may have saved his life. Reporter now police tell me they expect the one victim to survive despite several stab wounds to his torso. Democrats are working on details including a theory regarding a recently fired employee at the bar. Now, the three witnesses have been interviewed by homicide detectives with several cameras from neighboring businesses out here as well as a city crime camera that recorded at least part of the stabbing. But the search is on for the stabber who took off in a gray buick lesabre. Now in West Oak Lane matt delucia, nbc 10 news. And slick spots left behind from yesterdays snow could create some problems this morning. Side streets like this one in fish town are still a bit icy. Nbc 10s katy zachry is live in the fox chase neighborhood. How are the roads there, especially secondary ones . Reporter take a look tracy. They are not good in this area. Fortunately in philadelphia most of the streets do not look like this they have been plowed and drivable. But it is a double whammy in this fox chase neighborhood. The first reason snow from this adjacent park. Over the course of yesterday after Central Avenue this area was snow covered and a lot of snow blew onto the streets and accumulated. Thats why theres still snow here. Now, again theres work on tudor street. The farther worse down you go. Im told by over the course of a few storms the citys plows have not done the job they are used to including clearing the area. If you didnt take time yesterday to clear out your car and shovel out, youll a big task ahead of you this morning. Once you pull out of the snowpacked areas, it will be icy. A lot of the snow that accumulated yesterday has frozen over and is thick. I talked to Police Dispatched from the area who said this could be a lot worse. Katy zachry, nbc 10 news. And iris gitney will be arraigned as her victim is a 17yearold student. They caught the woman and the student having sex in a public park last fall. The teacher was also a supporter of her daughters cheerleading squad. And the School Reform commission will deny or grant applications at a public hearing this afternoon. A group of parents, students and citizens plan to demonstrate outside saying more Charter Schools take away funding from public schools. A heroic ice rescue caught on camera in Monmouth County as emergency workers pulled a 14yearold girl to safety from the Sandy Hook Bay in middletown township. Authorities say the teen and her friends had climbed along a pipe that leads them from the bay to the water. The girl apparently lost her footing and she fell in. It is rare that we actually get rescued like this. We are actually training this past weekend, so it was fresh on their mind. The team was treated for possibly hypothermia buzz ist is expected to be just fine. And how slippery it will be for much of the area with temperatures plunging overnight.
