In the meantime, 20 minutes of nonstop news continues with 7monthold twins found dead in an apartment. They heard the mother scream for help right before police arrived. Cydney long has been working this story all day. She is joining us live from the scene there. You listened to the 911 calls from this incident, what do they tell you . Reporter jim and jackie, i listened to the entire call. It goes on for six minutes. And in it, we hear the mother, we hear her voice as shes explaining to police as they arrived inside department 5105 that her twin daughters went to sleep at 6 00. But by 8 00, they werent breathing and she tried to apply cpr before she dialed 911. Reporter investigators began to take evidence inside the familys apartment. They are working into how two 7monthold twins passed away. A witness told us that a woman she met at the laundromat ran out screaming. She was screaming. And they put her in the back of the cop car and i saw them bring out bags, body bags and stuff. Reporter alice lives two doors away and says the mother, grandmother and several children live here. I was thinking, okay, if it was a baby, then i can understand it, but two of them . Thats horrible. Reporter intewe asked if th deaths were accidental or considered foul play. So far, few hours. The neighbor said she saw the mother on monday. She had the kids with her and she brought them out to the car. And i talked to her and she said, im just going to go pick up my son now. Reporter and also in the 911 call, the mother references that the son who is about 6 or 7 years old was also home here this morning. Hes the one who answered the door for police. Neighbors, meantime, have been able to come and go this afternoon. This apartment is no longer being held by police as any type of crime scene, though the mother and grandmother have not returned here. We are live in lindenwal, cydney long, nbc 10 news. And philadelphias District Attorney out on bond this afternoon after he was arraigned on corruption charges this afternoon. Seth williams right there didnt have much to say to our camera as he walked into court today. He posted 50,000 bond, surrendered his passport and agreed to have no contact with the victims in this case. Nbc 10 Investigative Reporter mitch blocker was in court for williams hearing. You were right there, did the d. A. Have any reaction sitting on the opposite side of the courtroom . Reporter he has not had a whole lot to say about the 23count indictment he now faces, even over the past few months as nbc 10 investigators have been asking him questions about the gifts he took and whether or not it affected his office. He has had little to say until about two hours ago when he told the judge that hes innocent. Walking into court, philadelphia District AttorneySeth Williams greeted the cameras more than an hour before court started. He was here early to get fingerprinted and officially turn himself in. Inside it was the first time in his career he found himself on the defendant side of the courtroom. He sat in federal court as the charges were read, 23 counts alleging he took cash, a car and vacations in exchange for favors only he as a District Attorney can provide. We are looking forward to the trial to present our case. Reporter prosecutors are confident in their case. The indictment cites financial records and Text Messages between williams and those who gave him gifts. Prosecutors say they prove his office was for sale. Outside after court only williams lawyer took questions. Simply because the government makes explosive allegations in a complaint doesnt mean they are going to prove it in a court of law. Reporter williams will walk out a sitting d. A. For more than a month he met calls for resignation with defiance. Williams staff said he was not in the office today. Hes still on the public payroll even as he fights for his own freedom. Now staying in office while fighting an indictment is not unprecedented. We saw just a few months ago in pennsylvania as former state attorney general kathleen cane stayed in office until eventually being convicted. Mitchell blacher, nbc 10 news. Breaking news from the white house in the past few minutes, the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee briefed the president on intelligence that was collected on the Trump Campaign, possibly including mr. Trump himself. The chairman says it does not appear anything was collected illegally and has nothing to do with president obama. He was asked if he thought the president s team was spied on. Well, yeah, i guess it all depends on one definition of spying. I mean, clearly it bothers me enough. Im not comfortable with it. And i want to make sure that the white house understands it and that is why i briefed the speaker this morning on this. The president said he felt somewhat vindicated after hearing this latest report. Meanwhile, it is crunch time for the Republican Health care plan. President trump is working to shore up reports to replace obamacare. Ahead of tomorrows house vote, today the president met with women and Health Care Professionals at the white house. We are going to help get this thing done and get it figured out. Its a tough situation our country has been put in. Its not easy. Right now more than two dozen republicans are opposed or leaning against the plan. Thats enough to sink it without changes. And today former Vice President joe biden heavily criticized the way the Trump Administration handle itself during the first 60 days of his presidency. I hope that the president decides that the campaign has to end and he has to start to govern. And understand that the president s words matter. Mr. Biden made those comments on the steps of the capitol where he joined democrats for a rally marking the seventh anniversary of the Affordable Care act. He said it gave millions a peace of mind. And the Associated Press report alleges former Trump Campaign manager Paul Manafort worked with the russian billionaire years ago to advance the president vladimir putin. And neil gorsuch faced another long day of questions from the Senate Judiciary committee. He pledged devotion in the laws passed by congress no matter his personal feeling. He also countered criticism that he favors government and corporation. Gorsuch said he worries about the ordinary american. And officials in the jersey shore town approved a permit for a rally in support of president trump. The mayor of Seaside Heights originally denied the request for the protrump rally on the boardwalk because of concerns with clashes in opposing groups. He scheduled the rally for saturday at 1 00. And now an update from breaking news overseas. Four people are dead following a terror incident in london. The dead include an attacker and the Police Officer. There were two incidents today near parliament. It all started when a driver mowed down several pedestrians on the westminster bridge. That attacker then drove off and crashed into a fence on the parliament grounds. He stabbed a Police Officer before officers shot and killed him. Now the attacks have put people here at home on alert. And our Team Coverage continues with nbc 10s Randy Gyllenhaal live along independence mall. Any noticeable uptick in security where you are . Reporter no noticeable increase in security here at the landmarks in old city, but tourists do tell me they are monitoring developments out of london. As you mentioned, there was another vehicle attack and its becoming clear that not every tourist landmark has these vehicular barricades that are strong and made out of metal to prevent pedestrians getting hit by road cars. Yet another case of lowtech terror hits europe, this time in the heart of london. News of the casualties spreading to brits around the world. Yeah, i was just having some breakfast and checked my twitter feed. Reporter robert was at the liberty bell in philadelphia. Hes originally from south london and says it is clear these attackers targeted popular tourist hot spots in his hometown like the westminster bridge. Theres nothing sophisticated about it. Anyone can drive and pick up a speed and drive off the road into a crowd of people if thats what they want to do. Reporter europe has faced many of these simple attacks, including the truck attack in nice, france, a terrorist plowing into crowds killing dozens. A aft tha after that attack, the police said this could happen again. Innocent people are getting hurt. Reporter and now tourists in large cities are on edge around the world. But simple attacks can be prevented by simple barricades like these ones outside independence hall. I think about it a lot. You just want to be safe and make sure everybody is with you, your kids are safe, and i think i think if youre watchful and paying attention to things going on around you, and just hope youre not in the wrong place at the wrong time. Reporter i was in touch earlier with an official from the british consulate here in philadelphia. They tell me they continue to monitor the situation in london. But right now they do not have any updates on whether anybody locally may have been affected in that attack. Live in old city, Randy Gyllenhaal, nbc 10 news. More testimony today in the trial of the penn state president graham spaniard charged for failing to report a complaint about abuse from former coach Jerry Sandusky. Jim curley and Vice President gary schultz testified today. Both face charges before pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge. Spaniard is charged for not reporting a complaint that Jerry Sandusky had abused a boy in a team shower to Child Welfare authorities back in 2001. Prosecutors say the lack of action put children at risk. And new details now about a deadly shooting in south jersey. Police say the victim was a 24yearold man. Officers found him shot to death last night inside a car on kingsley road near bush street. So far there are no arrests. A local Tea Party Group is petitioning the Lehigh County commissioners to remove the sanctuary status in the county. The Immigration Committee of Lehigh Valley will present a letter at the county commissioners meeting tonight to say the sanctuary status helps Illegal Immigrants in the region even if they commit a crime. We spoke to both members on both sides of the issue before tonights meeting. We would like for the board to rescind the resolution they passed and agree they will co comply with a detainer request by i. C. E. We were built on the strength of immigrants. We were built of the basis that was written on the statue of liberty. Tonights meeting is at 7 30 at the Lehigh Center in allentown. Help is on the way for lbgtq young adults for a project home. Project home estimates that 40 of the young homeless identify as lbgtq. Work has been postponed to renovate the busy delaware memorial bridge. Crews were scheduled to pour a new concrete deck on the bridge running along i295 at the route 13 interchange. Now that work has been pushed back to next wednesday. So for now you can expect delays and lane closures to continue. Speaking of closures, happen right now, a major road shut down in center city for the ellen show. So we have seen people dress up in costumes like mario and liugi and the kardashian sisters. They are all trying to get a better shot of getting on the show. But as i said, a lot of them dont know details about what is happening. And that is really just adding to the excitement out here. We are on walnut street between 16th and 17th. You cant go anywhere. Its blocked. Thats why we have two nice days. Tomorrow will be number three and then we see things descend southward. So our winds today are out of the northwest. They are coming around this area of High Pressure as the High Pressure slides to the east, well start to see our winds shift a bit. This allows the clouds to move in. This is on thursday night. And here comes the storm system that ridges over the top of that High Pressure. You notice the winds will turn to the south prior to that. Now, that is on friday. So well get back into the 50s on our friday. 70s on saturday. We get clouds in here, winds out of the southwest. Heres a little bit of rain trying to come through. The models are taking the rain back out. We thought we would have a bit of a mix early friday morning until about midmorning. Stay tuned. That could change depending on the track of this, but at this point it looks like a few clouds clearing out in the afternoon. Just some fairly decent conditions out there. That sprinkle in the jersey shore is probably not going to happen. Things are pretty dry out there, but well keep an eye on it. For tomorrow, were looking at 56 in philly. Were looking at the suburbs at 50. Lehigh valley in the 40s. So were going to see temperatures then that will start to warm up. And here is a look at your tenday. Were pretty much going to be dealing with a big warm up by saturday. And then a crash by sunday. So 44 for tomorrow. And we could see some areas approaching 50. 56 on friday. 70 on saturday. Maybe even a few 70plus marks there. 49 on sunday. That is when the rain is in place. The same for monday and tuesday. We dont get a very big warm up. Right now, breaking news in london where a terror attack has left four people dead including pedestrians and a Police Officer. A car ran down several people walking on the famous westminster bridge. Then his car crashed into gates outside of parliament. Thats when he stabbed a Police Officer. That attacker was then shot and killed by other officers. Lets go to lauren mike nay has this report on it. Well, now to other top stories, the former District AttorneySeth Williams was indicted in court today. He later walked out of court after surrendering his pass port. Now to the story from lauren mayk from london. Reporter seth abewilliams a this woman worked together. Abraham is philadelphias longest serving District Attorney. What does this do to the office . This is a devastating blow to the office. Not impossible to recover from, but you have to virtually start from scratch. We have to go back almost to the beginning and remake the whole office. Reporter of all the allegations in the indictment, Lynne Abraham said the one that williams took money to be used for a family members care in a nursing home getting to her the most. Its the lowest of the low. All the other allegations are bad. To me, that is unforgivable. Reporter the former and current d. A. S have had their differences. What concerned me was the allegations he had. You have to be honorable, like the title says. If the allegations prove to be correct, he certainly failed to do that. Reporter and i got off the phone with former governor, mayor and District Attorney ed rendell. He said the allegations against williams are especially disheartening because he thought it looked like williams would do a lot of good things in the office. And even said williams would be a good candidate for mayor. Now he says this should be a wakeup call for philadelphians to pay close attention to this years race to replace williams as District Attorney. Jaqueline . And we can tell you all seven Democratic Candidates for philly District Attorney will debate later this month. They will gather march 27th at Penn Law School in university city. The only gop candidate for the job of top cop was invited but declined to take part. The debate is open to the public. So it is very pleasant, but it is very windy and feels very, very raw. Looking at the radar, everything is quiet and clear as it sweeps the sky. We have nothing to worry about. Why is that . Because we have High Pressure blocking everything. All of this clear is courtesy of High Pressure that is sinking into warming air. Well get to the warm air later in the week, but you see off to the west, everything is bumping into this invisible ridge of High Pressure. And it cant go anywhere. At least not until early on friday. Heres what is going on hour by hour with temperatures and the sky. This is what were looking at. This is a realistic looking sky and the forecast model. So overnight tonight mainly clear. 14 at mount pocano. Thats when you wake up tomorrow morning at 7 00. Philly, right around 24. Pottstown, 21. Reading, 21. You get the idea of the chilly temperatures. Now, heading through the day tomorrow, well make it into the low 40s. And philly, the 30s in the outlying areas. Everything is clear skies and pleasant. We have clouds move in on thursday night. Were still right at above the freezing mark for much of the area. But there is a little system that is cresting over the top of that ridge of High Pressure. So its kind of coming down from the north and the west bringing a wintry mix. And this could cross the area, especially if you get out into the pennsylvania suburbs and you get into the Lehigh Valley and burkes county where we may see it. But it dashes out of here by late on friday. And then we make it into the 50s as we clear out. Then it gets really good. All the precipitation stays to the north of us. And look at this, by saturday, 10 30 in the morning, we are into the 60s. We are punching 70 on saturday. I love to be able to say that. Then we take a dive on sunday. I dont appreciate saying that.
