You can see this is fifth street at rockland. Firefighters are still out here, the street is blocked off. Its the home right there, the tall one there, the threestory home there in the middle there. There are store fronts to the left and right. Just minor smoke damage to those buildings, but that home there a lot of damage to the inside. We did see firefighters here, they had the ladder truck up in the past hour, on the roof of the building here but they have taken that down and starting to pack up and leave the scene for the moment here it does appear that this is the starting to wrap up. No word of injuries yet. I spoke with a couple of neighbors this morning. They tell me that this is a vacant house that no one that they know of lives at this property. But were trying to get more information out here at the scene. For now as i mention in order word of injuries at this point but this road here fifth at rockland is still shut down. This morning new Jersey State Police are mourning the loss of one of their own. The trooper was killed in a car accident, trooper eli mccarson died yesterday on quintin allouez road. The trooper was responding to a domestic dispute when his cruiser went off the road and smashed into a utility pole. Crews cut him out of the car. He died later at the hospital. Witnesses tells us cruiser was badly damaged. They tried to get him out there but the door was like really stuck. It was really hard to get him out the car. Mccarson was recently married and lived in gloucester county. He just graduated from the Police Academy earlier this year. Police are investigating a car crash that killed a student around 7 30 last night. A car hit the victim on the collegeville cam us p. She died a short time later. They say the driver did stay at the scene. It is a new day in delaware. A law decriminalizing the use of small amounts of marijuana is now in effect across the state. You are now allowed to possess and use one ounce of marijuana privately without threat of jail time. You will face a 100 fine though. Public consumption is not allowed. The law does not apply to anyone under 18. A revealing report from the cdc shows a nurse who reused syringe to give flu shots in september made several other mistakes.
