That goes for the rest of area. A bit muggier, too. Plenty of sunshine for center city, 87 degrees. 87 in lansdale and the lehigh valley. 89 degrees for easton. New jersey and the jersey shore, well see plenty of sunshine but look at the warmup inland, pemberton and hamilton township. Middle to upper 80s. Very low 80s for ocean city and cape may. Rehoboth beach 81 but wilmington youre up to 87 degrees this afternoon. Well go through the forecast hour by hour when im back in ten minutes. Were starting off on they q schuylkill expressway around University Avenue. So earlier this morning, several hours ago, there was an overturned tractortrailer that shut down this part of the schuylkill expressway, headed westbound for quite some time. We are for the most part back open. You can see traffic is allowed to move by the scene. We still are blocking part of the ramp to university right now. I did see some cars get off of this ramp a few moments ago. It looks like were back to blocking off at least part of that ramp. The schuylkill expressway is back open for sure. You can take 95 and head to the vine street expressway to get back to the schuylkill westbound to avoid residual delays to be safe. Route 422 looks okay. No problems with the drive times right now. Eight minutes drive time 422 eastbound from 29 to the schuylkill. Average speeds into the 60s. When i come back, ill check in with new jersey roads for you. Jessica, thanks for that. 5 03 and 68 degrees. New from overnight, crews put out a house fire on lewis avenue in east lansdowne. A fire broke out around 1 45, firefighters arrived minutes later. No reports of injuries. Also overnight, a fire in a strip mall in cherry hill, evesham road. Crews arrived just before 3 00 a. M. Investigators think the fire started outside the building and spread. No reports of any injuries. A hotel scare in Center City Philadelphia has two people in custody. Police say they found a man and a woman with smoke bombs on top of the hyatt at the bellevue hotel. Thats where nbc 10s matt delucia is for us this morning. Now the department of Homeland Security is getting involved. Tell us how the fed got involved. Any time youre talking about bombs youll get Homeland Security involved with Something Like this. The all clear has been given. We saw police going in and out of the bellevue over the last couple hours. We havent seen any police for the past 30 to 45 minutes or so. There was a lot more activity last night just after 10 30. Skyforce 10 over the bellevue here on broad street. A lot of police on the ground but its what they found on the roof thats of the biggest concern. A man and woman were taken into custody. They were caught with smoke bombs and chemicals that police say could be used to make pipe bombs. One thing of note here, the bellevue was not evacuated at all during this investigation. Those two people taken away for questioning. No wordc yet on why they were here in the first place with all of those materials or why they were on the roof. This is still under investigation. Nbc 10 learned an investigation is under way after someone made a bomb threat against three city police districts. A person stopped an officer in the 39th district and warned that officer of the threatening message on facebook. Authorities in michigan will be trying to figure out today how an inmate got loose inside a courthouse and killed two bailiffs. Police say the prisoner was being moved when he grabbed an officers gun and opened fire while trying to escape. The inmate injured two other people before police shot and killed him. Happening today, president obama, Vice President biden and former president george w. Bush plan to attend a Memorial Service in dallas for the officers killed in last weeks sniper ambush. Hundreds paid their respects to the five officers at a candle light vigil in dallas last night. Police leaders call for peace and unity between the officers and the community. The five officers were killed thursday night during a march protesting recent police involv involved shootings. Micah johnson was killed in a standoff with the police chief. Yesterday, the police chef said he knew what he was doing and was committed to killing officers. They are sifting through witness footage and the gunmans personal arsenal to find out what drove him to kill and wound. She said her son felt his military service in afghanistan didnt live up to his expectations. He was very disappointed, very disappointed. I didnt see it coming. I love my son with all my heart. I hate what he did. Funerals will be held this week for three of the Police Officers killed in dallas and several Police Departments from our area will send officers to those services. They should not be afraid to police us. Allentowns police chief announced for the first time, Community Leaders will help evaluate the departments hiring standards. Today mark the one month anniversary of the massacre in orlando at a gay nightclub. Omar mateen opened fire around 2 00 a. M. On june 12th in the deadliest mass shooting in u. S. History. A firefighter in Sussex County is dead after he fell from a helicopter during a training exercise. Heres a picture of the state Police Helicopter used during the training. That was yesterday. Firefighters were conducting a routine exercise at the Coastal Airport in georgetown when the firefighter fell out. Kane is accused of leaking secret grand jury information and lying about it under oath. Shes denied any wrong doing. And documents that may reveal what joe paterno was told about jerry sandusky. The records from an insurance lawsuit could give more details to allegations that a boy told paterno in 1976 that sandusky molested him.
