Currently 72 in clearwater. And still not exactly falllike in the afternoon, expecting 89 degrees. And i am tracking the tropics, one area im keeping a close eye on. And leslee lacey has what shes keeping an eye on. Earlier, there was a man on the shoulder of the Howard Frankland bridge, and hes been busier through plant city but a good drive. And a quick look at south tampa, a quick reminder. This started yesterday for the morning commute. Its the first time you will see it, macdill avenue. You will see some portions closed. Well, once we head into the afternoon, we will get pockets of heavier rain and the storms thunderstorm. Tropical wave invest 97l is expected to head into the caribbean. The Hurricane Hunters will investigate later today. But the interesting thing, the last two days of this sevenday forecast, it takes a really hard right turn heading due north. And the temperature of 89. Its a little cool they are morning, you might notice 70 in apollo beach. 27 in clearwater. 76 in tampa. And we have an onshore wind. And i expect to see a couple showers. Notice the time here between now and maybe 11 30. Storms may get strong just like what happened yesterday and theyll push farther and farther east. And i wanted to give you a long term forecast, something to look forward to. High moisture, this green and whether yous through tomorrow. And then thursday, a cold front sinks into south florida and thats going to allow for drier air to sneak in here and limit our rain chances for friday and saturday and lower the humidity. How about traffic on the 8s . The roads out here, folks. I4 starting to slow down through ybor city, 301 to 275, a 12 veterans expressway. Thats always good news. And all right, a look at 275 stretching out towards pinellas, looks good but bearss avenue to i4, about a 26 minute commute. So starting to get heavy. And Howard Frankland bridge not too bad. And look at this, on bearss, thats where we start to see a back up up and then heavy as you move towards downtown tampa.
