We just watched a helicopter fly a couple of times in sight of the sinkhole. We believe the governor just finished his flyover. The latest numbers from mosaic on the numbers of water tests theyve done. They tests requests. Theyve taken 149 samples saying their Third Party Company is now prioritizing those samples based on the closeness to the sinkhole at the plant. Mosaic still offering free bottled water to people nearby until they get confirmation their water is not impacted. Residents thought they would know by yesterday, and now theres a mixed emotion. Are they trying to hide something . Is something really wrong and they are scared to tell us . One person is recovering in stable condition after a house fire in spring hill. Flames broke out in the back bedroom of this house on little farms drive. Everyone inside got out safely but one person suffered smoke inhalation, taken to the hospital. Firefighters found a dog inside the house and gave it oxygen with a pet oxygen mask. The bmw dealer believes a rare battery malfunction is to blame but this is becoming an issue with several luxury car brands. This mom says her three kids got locked inside her bmw this way and a corvette owner called 911 after he was trapped in his vet. Racina says shell never get in her again. Powerful cat 4 typhoon maggie slammed taiwan this morning with winds of 135 Miles Per Hour gusting up to 160. Make landfall in the island nation in the past two weeks. Schools, businesses, airports all closed across taiwan as that storm approached. The concern now deadly mudslides and flash flooding. Maggie could dump as much as 20 inches of rain on taiwan before it heads to sea. Makes landfall on eastern china tomorrow. Lets check with shay. Monitoring a tropical disturbance from the atlantic. Its at this point were not completely in the clear because of the general direction that let me show you a little more. At this point we dont have a number or named storm but its likely to happen any time between now and the next couple of days as this system continues to churn here just to the east of the Lesser Antilles. As you look at the Spaghetti Models you can see that it is going to be moving across the Lesser Antilles in the next couple of days and then were hoping that its going to start to make a turn to the north. If this happens where it turns north around the time it gets republic and haiti then it will stay off into the atlantic and stay away from the mainland u. S. But if it continues on more of a westerly track and stays south of cuba, then it could get a little questionable about whether or not its going to start to hook north a little later and effect us or head into the gulf. Thats where we want to continue to keep a close eye on it until sunday, when well start to see when whether or not it will make that turn to the north. Somewhere between friday and sunday i think pretty good idea of what is going to happen with the storm. Between now and then keep a close eye on it. Were mostly dry, rain approaching but most of the area is the dry side. Best chance of rain in the first half of the day so before noon, along the coastline so the i75 corridor. After noon well start to see more showers and storms bubbling up, all across tampa bay and heading inland. Futurecast agrees with my forecast. You can see how it comes 75 corridor at noon. And on top of tampa bay. Then continues to become hit or miss as it moves inland through 4 00. After 4 00 we may even see some of this pulling back across our coastline, bottom line its going to be rather hit or miss across the area with about 30 coverage. Its not going to be the wettest day but still have a chance for those hit or miss showers and storms at times today. Tomorrow that west wind continues so well have a chance around 9 00 in the morning for the showers to begin setting coastline again. On average this time of year we should be starting the day around 73 degrees, ending around 88. We have not been anywhere near the averages lately. Weve started our days in the mid to upper 70s and ending in the low 90s. Were still going to stay on the hot side the next couple of days but weve got a cool front coming through thursday. Or maybe he doesnt want the american people, all of you watching tonight to know that hes paid nothing in federal taxes because the only years that anybodys ever seen were a couple of years when he had to turn them over to state authorities when he was trying to get a they showed he didnt pay any federal income tax. Politifact says the statement contains an element of truth but ignores critical facts rating it mostly false. Thats because trump did not pay federal income taxes in 1978 and 1979 but the same records include information from three other years in the 1970s when trump did pay federal income taxes. Donald trump wasted no time defending his refusal to release his tax returns saying information about his finances. They found little evidence to support trumps argument that the Financial Disclosures allow allow observers to learn more than they would from a tax fo valuable details on the types of taxes he paid and how much he paid to charity. Reporter investigato caught on surveillance camera at the tj maxx may have gone into the restroom here and touched a child. Not only that investigators think he tried to take a picture as well. The kid only 6 years old. I dont think i would let him out of my sight anymore at that age. Its scary these days. Reporter police say the incident happened this past saturday. Take another look at the picture. Investigators want to bring him in for questioning. They are hopeful someone out there watching now will provide in. Happening today a fund for the victims of the pulse nightclub shooting massacre is set to pay out about 29 million. Last week a law firm filed a lawsuit on behalf of an employee who was injured during that massacre. The su injunction to stop the money from being paid out until an audit could be done. The judge denied part of that injunction. The board for the one orlando fund says payments should be finished by friday. Last june a gunman opened fire in pulse nightclub killing 49 people, injuring dozens more. Its now the worst mass shooting in u. S. History. Hillary clintons running mate tim kaine made a pilgrimage of sorts to the pulse nightclub. She and senator tim kaine paid respects to the 49 people lost in the shooting. He was governor during the Virginia Tech mass shooting. The decision to visit pulse was something the senator said he asked to do. Police now believe a suspect was an attorney who lived near where the shooting took place. Abcs station in houston spoke to relatives of the man who owns the car police have surrounded in this video. They say he was having financial troubles and had been behaving erratically. Police havent released his name but say he was shot and killed by police. Nine people were hurt in the shooting. Story out of indiana where two children were found dead just hours after an amber alert was issued for them. Now their mother is under arrest accused of killing them. Police issued the alert for 7 yearold Lilliana Hernandez and 6yearold renee pastor around noon yesterday. Its believed they were abducted by their mother. Later that evening the mom reportedly drove to a police station, flagged down an officer and said her two kids were dead in the back seat of her car. She faces two counts of murder. The amber alert was issued. They are still searching for him this morning. New information weve learned the two men arrested for the murder of a california couple were friends of the victims teenaged daughter who was reported missing after the murders. Jennifer jost and her husband christopher were found dead sunday in hair home with a family friend. Friends of the daughter, 17 yearold caitlyn said she became friends with the two suspects with the furry community. Furies are people who enjoy frank felix and john acosta arrested in the murders. A 17yearold girl also arrested but so far her identity hasnt been released. New data from the fbi shows Violent Crime is rising across the country after years of declines. A trend in murder rates spiking nearly 11 higher in 2015 than the previous year. Violent crime overall is up almost 4 . The fbi says these numbers are actually down though over five and 10year periods. There is still work to do. Theres also a slight chance of afternoon showers and storms but this is far from a washout. Well get a lot of good dry hours at the beaches today. Thursday we have that front that is approaching but it fizzles out just to the south of us on friday. So that means were going to have slightly lower temperatures in the morning starting on friday, and well have less afternoon shower and storm coverage, also going to be less humid. So still pretty good front. That is our friend. Normally today getting close to 90 degrees. Lots of humidity. Another hot and steamy day. Same for wednesday and thursday. Do think well have a decent.
