Despite the fact that cuba had an impact on the storm as far as intensity, now down to 115, a major hurricane, we are expect being it to ramp up. You see the thunderstorms wrap up around the center of the eye. The wave heights upwards of 30 feet. This will continue to go to the north and west. Along with that those are waves. The storm surge the islands will get hit hard here because of how flat some of them are here. But they are much better prepared, the bahamas are than, say, haiti and eastern cuba. That is the tropical air masson top of us. Futurecast in motion, you can see something that we dont see very, long time, a cat 4 hurricane approaching florida. Notice on the western side of it, we wont get the heaviest of the rain. That will be for the coast with the current track as i see it now, 6 to 8 inches plus, perhaps a foot on the coast. Then we diminish the rain chances or totals, 4 to 6 inches, 2 to 4 and 1 to 2 inches. We have gotten that with a thunderstorm in st. Pete. Today 89 with conditions. And then drying, right, the opposite what you would thing, the drier side of matthew thursday and friday so diminishing rain chances. That is the official forecast right now. 115 Miles Per Hour winds. That was all the weakening that we had in the storm. Still a major hurricane despite the fact that it went through the mountains of haiti then across eastern cuba. You can see the eye redeveloping there. The thunderstorms will wrap around and that will allow for it to intensify into thursday and then friday. We dont have much time to dillydally, especially on the east coast. You have to get prepared now. And highlands county, power will be the issue for you, if this forecast verifies, if it parallels the coast we will talk about strong winds. Thursday into friday.
