Detectives are still looking for at least one gunman in the shooting death of a teenager and young man at the florida mall. Weve been following this story since friday night when it happened outside jc penney. Kathy belich is live now. Reporter thats right. Theyll say the shooting was not random but thats about it. It happened outside the jc penney close to the building just before 7 30 friday night. The store was still opened but no one else was injured. An Orange County deputy was in the store dealing with shoplifters when the shooting happened and got to the shooting within seconds. The two victims were found 100 yards away from one another. Investigators say someone else was involved but wont say anymore. They say it was not a murdersuicide. 20yearold andrew garland who was from south florida was found dead outside a car, 19yearold Samuel Destin survived but died later at the hospital. We checked florida records and neither one of them was in trouble with the law. The Sheriffs Office was called here more than 4,000 times last year. There were violent incidents such as strong armed robberies here but nothing like a double shooting that was deadly. Police believe the car could have suffered some damage. Around the same time frame was the report of a white volkswagen hitting an embankment in the oakland area. We were able to recover a piece of a bumper. Police still dont have a suspect and are still trying to figure out events leading up to the shooting and the motive. The goal with the change is to encourage residents to throw less away and move more into that recycle bin. Something some out here admit they are not doing right now. We just started throwing everything in the trash can because we never saw the reporter now, the recycle bins out here are maroon and as a new resident harmon tells us shes never seen those bins placed out by her neighbors.
