details as we get them. developing at 11:00 the man police say crashed into the sweet tomatoes restaurant in west newton killing two people and injuring seven more has been indicted. people were sitting down eating dinner when a car smashed through the restaurant causing a devastating situation. it took several months for charges to be handed down onto the driver and the fox 25 is bringing you live team coverage at 11:00. our malini basu has spoke to a victim who survived the crash but we begin with john monahan with new details about the driver. john? >> reporter: mark, i can tell you tonight that this building is still boarded up since that crash. not much has changed here since that fateful night except for these new barriers that could have prevented that deadly crash back in march. >> reporter: seven months after a horr crash that killed two people at this west newton pizza restaurant, the driver has been indicted. a middlesex county grand jury indicted 55-year-old bradford cassler of newton on two counts of motor vehicle homicide and one count of operating to endanger. cassler was driving an s.u.v. on chestnut street when he reportedly crossed washington street hitting several cars and crashing the march 1st crash left two people dead and injured several others who were inside this popular newton pizza parlor on that early march evening. >> witnesses describe the scene as gruesome and chaotic. at the time, contractsler was taken away in an ambulance. his license has since been suspended indefinitely cassler's mother declined to speak with fox 25 about the indictment. we wanted to know if you wanted to say anything about the indictment. >> i have nothing to say. >> reporter: through her door she told us she had nothing to say. no date set yet on cassler's arraignment and still no date on when sweet tomato also reopen. live in newton, john monahan, fox 25 news. >> these are the two people who died inside sweet tomatoes just trying to get dinner that march evening. tonight also hearing from a victim who survived the horrific crash. fox 25's malini basu live outside the restaurant to continue our team coverage. >> and van. the victim tells fox 25 it sounds like a bomb went off. the girlfriend and this man here they just came out here to have some pizza after a long day when a car slammed right into sweet tomatoes. >> reporter: some of the victims from the sweet tomatoes crash tell fox 25 they are reliving march 1st, after learning about the charges bradford cassler is now facing. >> a lot of >> reporter: tony wilson says he and his finacee were just two of the seven injured that day. two people were killed inside of the restaurant. gregory moran was a boston attorney. the 32-year-old was eating pizza with his family. eleanor meally was 57 years old. meally worked as an office manager at a newton law firm. she stopped in to pick up pizza. >> it just the place exploded. >> reporter: wilson says he >> was the primary day we were we had voted and we came here to get a pizza. >> reporter: wilson tells us he thought he was going to die. >> lady laying on top of me, my finacee i had to move her off to get me out of there. it was very scary. scariest thing i have ever been through in my life. >> reporter: at the household loved ones left a sign saying please respect our neelly's 89-year-old mother told her neighbors i can't deal with this. i still can't believe she is gone. wilson has a message for everyone. >> hug your loved ones. you never know when it might be the last time you see them. >> reporter: wilson says this crash has changed his life as well as his finacee's life. he tells us that they are both suffering from ptsd. for now we are live in west newton tonight, malini basu, it fox 25 news. developments on air and on-line in the sweet tomatoes crash. we will also be in court when the driver goes before a judge. also tonight an adult daycare bus driver is accused of sexually abusing elderly women with alzheimer's. we first reported this on fox 25 news at 6:00. our jacqui heinrich was the only reporter to obtain detailed court documents outlining the disturbing claims. jacqui, you've been working this for several months now. >> reporter: that's right, ock. according to interviews dmaild that report the families had no idea this was going on. many of those victims are in alzheimer's. one is now deceased. but several caregivers and relatives did wonder why their elderly mothers were often dropped off late when return from carewell and at least one victim had to undergo a rape kit test. >> reporter: court documents show at least 12 incidents over two years involving six women ranging in take from their 60s to their 80s. all with alzheimer's or other developmental disabilities. now considered victims of sexual assault. robert mcneil, 57, of charges of indecent assault and battery of a disabled person after he allegedly reported the crime to his managers at carewell adult day well center. according to police police mcneil who is a veteran, was working as a bus driver for the adult daycare company since 2013. then on july 4th he told his bosses "he was attending church and then decided that he needed to speak to someone about things that he had done that he felt remorseful about." state police interviewed the details. one person reporting an incident in 2016 when her mother had come home and had on different pants and underwear than she originally left with. another allegedly having an anxiety attack inside one of the company vans back in july. mcneil is accused of groping and kissing the women while transporting it them to and from the daycare center. mcneil admitted himself for mental health services to the brockton v.a. hospital involving sex crimes but he has been rained several times for d. turng i.s. he is scheduled to be arraigned october 5th. neither mcneil for carewell have applied to our request for comment. if you her friends when the driver of this sedan hit her then took much on the the victim has been released from the hospital. investigators are still searching for the driver they say hit her. if you have any information call police. >> large house fire in hingham sent three firefighters to the hospital with minor injuries. this was the scene this afternoon. you can see heavy flames and smoke spill out of the second floor. six people inside the home say that's where it started. approximately 20 minutes after the initial smell of smoke they discovered smoke in the living room and they evacuationiated the house and made the call to 911. >> the firefighters taken to the hospital are expected to be okay. grief counsellors will be on hand at boston university tonight after a student was hit and killed by a commuter rail train. transit police say the 17-year-old was hit while crossing the tracks in boston overnight. foul play is not suspected. the teen's name has not been released but we do understand he's an international studen this comes just hours after the start of the school year. >> it's just sad because i'm a freshman also. what if he didn't have any classes yesterday like he never got a chance to have a college class. he didn't even make it to 18. >> tonight the dean of students is asking students to call home and let their parents know they are safe. former f.b.i. profiler says the man who killed vanessa marcotte made a big mistake. it has been one month since vanessa was killed. o'toole says the killer has likely been under a lot of stress over the last month worried about clues he left behind in an outdoor crime scene. o'toole says investigators are looking at other less violent incidents known as nuisance crimes that have happened in the area. that might say they have receive 1,000 tips in marcotte's murder. a salem police officer is suing after losing part of her ear during an arrest. this woman emma wylie is accused of biting off the officer's ear a month ago. the officer suing for negligence and civil battery. she's also going after the restaurant's corporate owner for serving alcohol to wylie who is only 19 years old. the officer is asking for lost income, medical expenses and money for her injury. the future of the boston police department body hands of a judge. the police union is looking to halt the program. the original program called for volunteers to wear the cameras but no one came forward. so the union claims the city stepped in, assigning the cameras. but the judge sides with the union the commissioner says he'll go back to
