A pedestrian killed, another one hurt after they are hit by a car. This happened this morning on wyman street. Kris the victim is a 65yearold man. We want to get out live now to john cuoco. He is in waltham. What is the latest you have learned . Reporter well, kris, rig earlier, this area was all closed off as police were investigating. After those two men were hit in the crosswalk here. A damaged car sits in the street after a deadly wreck in waltham. Police say two men were in a crosswalk on wyman street when they were hit by a car just before 7 00 tuesday morning. Upon arrival, one male was found facedown in the roadway. The other was on the curbing near the bus stop. Reporter police say the man in the road was dead. 7 news has learned he was 65 years old and getting off the heartbreaking news for people in the area. I would see them almost every morning on the way to the gym. Sometimes if im running a little late, i wouldnt see them. Most mornings, i would see them crossing the street. It is horrible. Reporter Police Believe both men work in the area. We are still trying to determine which direction they were going in the roadway. As as why they were in the roadway and so on, that is still under investigation. Reporter police and people that live here say this street is kno t couple otimes, to have a light put down in here. It is a heavily traveled road. Pedestrians, cars, and so on. We have not had any major incidents in this area for quite some time as far as accidents go. Reporter soy just got an update here. The man that was taken to the hospital, hit in the crosswalk, he is 70 years old. His condition has been upgraded to serious. As far as the driver, we are told he is 60 years old. Possible. Because to our south, temperatures are in the 70s. 74 in new bedford right now. That is where the sunshine has poked through. For us in boston, we are still sitting at were in the 60s. Then we dropped to the 50s. Now we are getting back to the 60s. We are starting to see some of that clearing. I think as we head into this afternoon, we will start to see more of that. But down in new bedford, down along the cape, there is lots of sunshine. But north of the pike, basically, is where we still have not seen any of that clearing. And that is where those temperatures are really still struggling to warm up. I do think we will see some clearing and some sunshine as to top out in the 70s. Those 80s will only be down towards the cape. Where we get a lot of sunshine and down towards southeast massachusetts. For tomorrow, another run at the upper 70s. More sunshine for tomorrow. And a level three sex offender arrested on new charges of 1yearold Charles Lovejoy arrested by Whitman Police early monday morning. He is charged with aggravated rape of a child, indecent assault and battery, and enticement of a child for sex. Back in 2010, he was convicted of indecent assault and battery oan child under 14. This morning, he is being held on a Million Dollars bail. Kris s a merrimac, New Hampshire High School Teacher sent explicit images to a robert wylie was arrested on monday. Four men claim that a group of offduty officers attacked them using a baton and a stun gun outside of nathans bar and restaurant last year. So an attorney for the alleged victim says that the fight started when one of the men whistled at a female bar end ther who may have been an the Springfield Police Department Says the incident is under investigation. Kris good news now this noon on the Boston Police officers shot in east boston. Officers Richard Cintolo and Matthew Morris has been upgraded to stable condition. They have been recovering at mass. General hospital since they were shot while spooning to a domestic dispute last week. An east Boston Church holding a sperj mass honoring those officers last night and hundreds gathered at st. Iraqs cuddish forces say they are pausing their advance on mosul after capturing a handful of villages. As you just saw. We are finally starting to see those temperatures bump up again. This morning they were dropping down in the 50s. And now they are going back up. So notice the winds. We are starting to see that southwest wind kick in. And that is going to help bring in some of the warmer air. We are kind of between two weather patterns right now. Fbs and this regional temperature map is kind of to our north and to our northeast, that is where temperatures are in the 40s and the 50s. And then in buffalo, new york city, washington, d. C. , pittsburgh, 7s. So this is all of that warm air that is trying to work in. And i think we are going to start to see some clearing. We really are starring to see. That but i also want to talk about this Coastal Flood Advisory. That is in effect from noon until 3 00 p. M. Today. You probably have been noticing those nice full moons we had. And right now, the sun line. We have this especially high king tides. That means coastal flooding is a concern around high tide. Today. Which is 1 20 p. M. An hour before that, an hour after that, we could see some minor coastal flooding. Along the northth shore and south shore. So here is that warm front i was talking about. That is really trying to work its way in. And it is getting there for some of you. I think as we head into this afternoon, heading into about 3 00, i think that is when we will start to see that clearing. We will get some more sunshine in. Leave us much time to warm things up. I dont think we will see those temperatures getting into the 80s. Most of you probably are going to see the 70s. Overnight tonight, a slight chance for a shower. We start the day tomorrow, again, with cloud cover. And then we clear out throughout the day. Tomorrow it looks like we will bump those temperatures into the upper 70s. Then tomorrow evening, we watch another cold front. So for thursday, that brings the temperatures back to about average for this time of year. Then thursday into friday, we watch a warm front northeast. And with this, we could see some rain fbs. And this front could tap into some tropical moisture. Actually, this could bring us beneficial rain as we head into the end of the week. As you can see here. So for today, i do think we are clearing the skies. I dont think temperatures will get to 80 for most of you. Maybe down along the cape and towards southeast massachusetts. For most of you, temperatures will be in the low to mid70s. North of the pike, Still Limited visibility. And thats where the temperatures are still on the cool side. Still cloudy out there as well. We are between a cold front to our north and a warm front thats trying to work in. To our south. As we head into this afternoon, we will get more sunshine and we will see those temperatures bump up a little bit. Here is the satellite and radar. We have seen some clearing. Just not quite enough. Here is a look at whats going on the setup. In yesterday, a cold front kind of stalled over us. And its just not wanting to lift. But we are trying to work in that warm air. Looking ahead at the timeline, 3 00, 4 00, it does look like we will start to clear. At that point, we dont have too much time to warm things up before the sun goes down. Then as we head into the overnight hours, a slight chance to see some isolated showers. We will also bring back the cloud cover. For tomorrow, we will start the day with clouds. Bull then we will make way to sunshine. Tomorr another run toward the upper 70s. And get close to 80. Tomorrow will be the warm day we have kind of been waiting for. Tomorrow evening, another cold front will move through. And then behind that, forecast heading into thursday, temperatures are cooler. Because of the front closer to average for this time of year. But then thursday into friday, we have to watch this warm front. And this will track northeast. And could tap into some tropical moisture. For thursday and friday, it looks like we could have some beneficial rainfall in store for us. Full moon. The moon, the earth, the sun in line right now. Because of that, we do have astronomical high tides. High tide this afternoon around 1 20. An hour before that, and an hour after that, coastal flooding is a concern. Along the south shore.
