As they were leaving the club, a witness says jones pulled up next to her vehicle and heard the sound of one gunshot Authorities Say a 23yearold was shot in the head and taken to a nearby hospital. Police arrested jones later that day Court Records reveal jones told police she did not shoot her gun but instead broke the window out the state department of corrections confirms jones is an employee of Taycheedah Correctional Institution in fond du lac. She is currently on administrative leave. Jones was charged today with with first degree reckless injury and disorderly conduct. If convicted, she could spead more than 25 years behind bars. Charges are now pending against the kenosha woman accused of prostituting her own daughters. Why patients say its one patient describes a settlement between the Wisconsin Attorney Generals Office and a milwaukee doctor accused of fraud. Fox 6 investigator bryan polcyn has details on the lawsuit that was first filed three years ago. I just had, my foot was achin. So he went to see milwaukee podiatrist, doctor john lanham. And then he gave me the cortizone injection shot. The real pain hit when the bill came in the mail. I was like, somethings wrong here. For more than 13thousand dollars it was like crazy dr. Lanham, could we please that time the fox 6 investigators. This is private property. Were exposing doctor lanhams long history of unscrupulous billing practices. This guy should be stopped from practicing medicine. And when simpson caught the broadcast, his jaw dropped. I probably called her up screaming to my wife. I go, they found this guy someones actually doing something about this. After our investigation, the state podiatry board suspended doctor lanhams license. If he is not stopped. And the Wisconsin Attorney Generals Office filed a lawsuit, accusing lanham of misleading patients about insurance. I asked if he took my insurance, and he said, yes. she said, yes, you can submit your insurance. Lynn patient she said yes, they accept it. It was our investigation that proved what patients had been telling state regulators for years. Was true. Fox 6 producer do you guys take United Health . Dr. John lanham podiatrist yes. Thexton when people ask do you accept my insurance, he says yes. In reality, lanham was not a part of any insurance network, meaning patients were stuck paying his outrageous bills on their own. And lanham was relentless in kept threatening the house. They say, if you dont pay something every month, then were going to have to put a lien on your house. The intimidation tactics were a big part of what prompted simpson to work with the Wisconsin Attorney Generals Office in its lawsuit against lanham. But for three years, he heard very little about its progress. And last month, the state quietly reached an agreement just before trial. Settling the case for 15thousand dollas a single patient. Simpson 15,000 is nothin. As part of the agreement, the disgraced former doctor will be allowed to pay off the judgment in monthly installments. Of 500 dollars. Simpson thats a slap on the wrist. Simpson is hardly impressed by the outcome. But hes more concerned with something else. Simpson can we stop him from doing this to others . Making sure doctor lanham. Lanham this is private property. Why wont you talk to in settling the lawsuit, doctor lanham did not have to admit to any of the allegations against him. And the state podiatry board shows his license is active, but limited. That means he could practice again with certain restrictions. However, since our investigation, doctor lanham closed all four of his milwaukee area locations.
