The 17yearold senior attended arrowhead up until midway through junior year. When those who knew her say a sportsrelated concussion forced her to drop out. Beres longtime friends say she was liked by everyone. She was the nicest. She was so funny. With friends. Her mom was her best friend for sure. The Waukesha CountySheriffs Office says beres was driving east on Capitol Drive around 3 oclock in the morning when she crashed into this wooded area. I woke up to the car alarm or whatever and the next thing i know, i hear sirens, look out the window to see at least 10 vehicles. Beres was pronounced dead at the scene. Her two passengers. A 17 for non life threatening injuries. The cause of the crash is still unclear. Residents nearby wonder if a deer may have crossed in front of the car. Its definitely a dark and dangerous road. As authorities continue to investigate what happened arrowhead students will celebrate beres life by wearing the color blue to school tuesday. We just kind cant believe that shes not here with us anymore. The 17yearold female passenger who was i student at arrowhead. A principal at lake country lutheran says beres transfered to his school last spring. But dropped out in september because of that concussion. He says she had been taking online classes this fall. Milwaukee police are investigating a shooting near 64th and villard this morning. The 56yearold victim was being followed by three people when one then shot the victim. The victim was taken to the hospital but is expected to recover. The suspects took off. A Racine County man pleads guilty to homiciderelated and killing a 13yearold in caledonia. 35yearold Thomas Macemon plead guilty to charges of homicide by negligent use of a vehicle and homicide by vehicle while using drugs. Sara drayzen was killed in august, 2015 when macemon hit her with his car as she walked on the side of the road. Macemon told police he smoked marijuana, took xanax and had a shot of whiskey before the crash. Brought you in july. When a sheboygan bartender was caught in the crossfire as police shot and killed a suspect. That bartender and a coworker have now filed a claim against the city of sheboygan alleging the firing officers were negligent. Justin williams shares new details. Bartender, Mary Heitzmann, who says she has experienced mental have filed a notice of injury and notice of claim for damages with the city of sheboygan. Each seeks twopointfive Million Dollars for pain, suffering, disfigurement and disability, and loss of earning capacity. According to the document, quote officer hamilton and officer kehoe knew or should have known that by positioning themselves as they did, kurt klessig and Mary Heitzmann were in the officers field of fire. Endquote the claimants allege the officers were negligent in firing their weapons. Quote . In violation of the city of Sheboygan Police departments rulea endquote the sheboygan City Attorney tells me the next step involves this claim, being presented at a Common Council meeting, monday night, at which time, he says, it will be referred to the citys finance committee. The finance committee, he explains, will, then, vote to either approve full payment, approve partial payment, or deny the claim, altogether. This is the latest, in sheboygan. Service employees International Union local 1 announcing today 500 workers will strike starting november 29th. A 4 story. Built in 1961. Nearly . Demolished when it came crashing down. i was sitting in an internal building when literally it felt like an earthquake. The sound and the movement was very dramatic. ann brummitt works inside the East Side Plaza the building was hit by flying debris. we all came and saw cloud of dust here, windows shattered, really an amazing amount of rubble right here. dr. Frank galkas dentisry office saw glass right here and theres a brick through the wall it came right through the window and on the floor and there was glass all over this area. its not the only broken glass all 4 outdoor windows and doors to the East Side Plaza were shattered. what if Somebody Just walked out of this building . It could have been curtains. the good news tonight no reported injuries in the collapse or by falling debris. The department of Neighborhood Services tells required demolition permit in place. They say 20yearold shawn oliver died saturday night after he was ejected from his vehicle near 27th and capitol. According to officials oliver was the passenger in a car that fled a traffic stop before swerving into oncoming traffic. That car then hit another vehicle, followed by a concrete light pole.
