Early this morning, only three or four flights either onsite or delayed and now about one dozen saying they will be taking off later this morning. And the last half hour, we talked to people at the airport, airport officials and runways here at Reagan National and also open and are operating, it is just very Little Service because of what the airlines are doing in terms of the canceled like. Canceled flights. Here all night and quite a few employees milling about with not a lot of people checking in and checking their bags. Look further down at where the backcheck is, some people driving their bags which means they checked in and that will drop off their luggage. That means they are bound for a flight to take off. This is what we anticipated, after a 00, maybe a little 8 00, service picking up. They were working to clear the runways all morning here and at dulles and they may have to here because of the limited space at Reagan National is shut down the runway for a little bit if we get the second round, snow mixing in. They will have to close the runway for a little bit and clear it out again and get service back up and running. You want to look at what airline are you flying. Southwest and american had canceled a number of morning flights already. Those flights not going anywhere. What is another key factor, someplace moved out so they do not have to remove the ice. This is having a Ripple Effect all across the country. We are watching things in fairfax. How are things looking . Not that bad. Rain, sleet mix. Nowve not looked outside but not sure if we are having a transition to snow which is the case as the low getting farther north, pulling in colder air. How much more snow . Not all that much. To the north and we will start to see the steady precipitation taper off at 10 00, 11 00, maybe lunchtime we will have a few light snow showers. Downright cold and blustery. Breaks. Make sure your bundled up because not only is extremely cold but very windy. Through the overnight, temperatures will plummet. , aitional snowfall totals trace to possibly two inches. We will see the additional snowfall amounts lessen later into the afternoon and evening. Refreeze cycle over the next few days. I am sure we will have numerous School Delays tomorrow morning and the following morning and on and on. Veronica this being a weather system that did not deliver in any way any huge snowfall totals but a little bit of snow and a full lot of ice. Whole lot of ice.
