A grand jury indicted Joseph Simpson for theft in office. Investigators are only saying that it happened while he was working an offduty restaurant detail. Simpson is suspended without pay. 3 keep people safe is waking up behind bars this morning. Robert marshall is in charge of Campus Safety at thomas more college. Investigators say he had child porn on his personal computer, and tried to hide it. Students were surprised to hear that marshal is facing these serious charges. Local12s angenette levy has the story. 3 Robert Marshall is in the Kenton County jail. Facing 36 counts of possessing child pornography. Police say they seized his computer from his home in latonia two years ago. After someone reported seeing the images. Lt. Colonel Bryan Steffen i can tell you that when detectives responded to his residence to seize the computer there was a software on it running that is designed to get rid of that type of material from those computers. Marshall was indicted last week. But taken into custody on the campus of thomas more college today. Police said having the computer examined led to a delay in filing charges. Lt. Colonel Bryan Steffen the forensic examination not only takes time but we are also in even begin that examination. Local 12 interviewed marshall on campus in 2008. Thomas more college released a Statement Part of it reads; the criminal charges against tmc director of Campus Safety rob marshall, who has been placed on leave, are isolated to his residence and stem from his home computer. At this time, there is no apparent danger to the campus community. Covington police agreed that no one was in danger. But students were surprised nonetheless. Michael luebbe junior shocked. John brewer was involved in the murder of Monte Tewksbury 33 years ago. Tewksbury was working at a Convenient Store when two masked robbers came in. One of the robbers stabbed him in the back with a hunting knife. They took cash. His watch. And his wedding ring. Tewksburys family fought to see his killers get sent away once. Now theyre doing it again. 3 he was just a giver. A giver in a world full of takers. How can you not fight for someone like that . John byrd was executed for the murder. But years later. Byrds attorney said brewer admitted he was the one who stabbed tewksbury. Brewer is serving 20 to life. Hes up for parole next month.
