Police found on the student while he was in class in mt. Healthys achieve program. The program is considered a last chance option for students with behaviorial issues. Police say the 12yearold boy threatened two students after school yesterday. He allegedly pointed the gun and said i am going to shoot you. The student was arrested today and taken to the Hamilton County juvenile detention center. In todays day and age you have to take every threat as being real and if we dont then the worst could happen and we cant wait for that to happen and we have to act now. Reporter the student has been charged with two counts of aggravated menacing, two counts of illegal posession of a fake firearm and one count of consuming alcohol. Mt. Healthy police say the student involved is known to police and officers have responded to school in the past for a variety of issues. Mike a major step toward healing tonight in madison township. Dozens of teenagers came together for one common cause. A night of hope and prayer. Several Church Events were held in and around middletown tonight two days after the double shooting inside madison junior senior high. A larger event is being planned for students in the days ahead. Were going to love them. Were going to tell them the truth, and were going to give them a place to unwind. Still close to home, a break from where the tragedy took place. Mike a bonfire rally will be held on friday for madison students and anyone who wants to join. With classes back in session at madison, the healing process has begun. Some students couldnt go back to the cafeteria where this terrifying shooting happened. I didnt want to come back. I was like mom, i cant go back tomorrow. Shes like you have to and i was like i know, i know. I cant, but i came back. Tammy the healing process is still a struggle but began today, i just still couldnt believe it happened. Youd never think it would happen to our school were so close. Madison after the shooting shook the community. It was no talking at all it was really quiet and thats not normal for our school. Walking in was weird it feel right, but i started talking to my friends and it got a little better. Tammy 90 of students were ready to some injured students did not return today that included brant murray, who just try to stay calm and not die. Tammy heading in the cafeteria where investigators say Austin Hancock shot his classmates was tough too. It was weird. I wasnt expecting anything like that. Tammy the superintendent had a message about guns. My message to them is lock them up, get a safe and lock them up. Tammy but out of the tragedy the entire communtiy has become closer. This is an amazing, amazing community. I know we will get through this. We will heal together and unite, with no doubt. Tammy the student who is dont feel comfortable returning to school this week will have an excused absence. Sheree as the community tries to move forward, the family of the accused shooter Austin Hancock says they are praying for the students injured. They released this statement. It reads in part, our family entire lives. And we never expected anyone to experience the event that and we certainly did not expect that one of our family members would be involved. We are praying for everyone involved including austin. Whom we still deeply love. This is a tough situation, because the students and staff in that district are so close with one another and with the accused gunman. Today we talked with the superintendent about the theres a lot of mixed emotions there and thats where i think those counselors are going to come in handy, because thats a struggle. It happened right around noon at the remke market on dixie highway. Police say the man came up to a gun, and told her to give him her car. Her 2002 black toyota camry. He has not been found. Luckily, that woman was not hurt. Mike the 7monthold baby ejected from a car during a deadly crash in fort thomas was released from the hospital today. Last week Michael Gillam was killed in the crash along 275. Just past 471. Today the baby who was seriously injured in the crash was released from the hospital. Were told the childs mother is still in the hospital unable to communicate with police. Its still unclear who was driving at the time. Criminal charges are now filed against a 15yearold student for making a verbal threat. Administrators at wyoming made students and parents aware of the threat but did not Cancel School today. At neighboring edgewood, they are doing everything they say, including using lethal force. Were going to do everything we can, to make sure students are safe. Richard superintendent Russ Fussnecker is vigilant about protecting his students. Today and everyday student safety is his priority. Parents will forgive you if their son or daughter doesnt pass a test. But they are not going to forgive you if the child is injured or if they are never going to return home. Richard as a part of the edgewood safety plan. The board voted unanimously in 2013 to allow Law EnforcementCertified School administrators to carry a firearm on campus. Any administrator in the district who has a valid carry conceal permit and also goes through the ohio peace officer training they then can carry a fire arm anywhere in our district. Trains of faster saves lives, here on the firing line and through tactics and first aid. Youve got to have somebody in the building who can stop the killing and who can then start rendering medical aid that is how we save lives.
