There hasnt been a ton of research, but there is some that shows Peppermint Oil and menthol gel can help ease headaches. Peppermint for tension headaches and you have to be careful. These are supplements. Peppermint oil can give off a lot of heat. Probably wont cause much harm. Maybe worth a try. But if you have migraines and youre sensitive to smell, this caution. A Theatre Company is making it look easy with the help of a complicated art that does not always get the respect it deserves. Dari in the spotlight, Christal Young introduces us to the broken box mime theatre. Reporter broken box mime theatre is changing the way people think about mime. The Nonprofit Company brings the ancient art of miming into the 21st century. Its new work titled above below, audience members see 11 contemporary shorts. Its a little comedy, a little drama, all in an hour and a half. Words not included. Broken box was created by becky, who was first introduced to miming at tufts university. If youre thinking this looks pretty easy, think again. Its hard, but what were doing not teaching the audience a new medium. Were teaching them to be aware of body language, which they speak. Reporter in mime, the audience is the final playwright playwright. These Company Members also fell in love with mime in college. I felt like i had seen poetry put up on stage. I wasnt sure how they did it. I thought i want to do that. Oddly enough, although it uses only emotion and gestures to put together a skit can take months and a lot of talking. Sometimes in the room, we say no more talking. Lets do this with our bodies and find an answer to the question weve been talking about. So sometimes we go back and forth. Reporter in order to excel in mime, you have to be good at two things. The first is clicking. Whenever you touch something, your hands click on to it like that as if theres a magnet on it. Thats how you show the audience theres an object there. The other part is isolation. When theres Something Big that doesnt move, you have to move around it and keep your hand in the same place. Theatre members say the biggest thrill is introducing audiences to mime who arent familiar with the art form. Reporter people are free afterwards. They tell us i didnt expect much, but it was amazing. I was like thats kind of fun.
