Todd laurie, as you mentioned, this accident happening nearly two years ago. In fact, that woman and her surviving son are out of the hospital and recovered from their injuries. Meanwhile, the driver thats accused of being behind the wheel in that fatal wreck, andrew perez, has gotten into another accident since and been cited. His license has also been suspended. This morning he turned himself in to police. Good morning, mr. Perez. You have the right to remain silent. Todd andrewy perez faced a judge facing a v vicular homicide charge and two counts of reckless driving with injuries. It all stem cells from an accident back in sunrise in march of 2014. Sunrise police say perez was in a black bmw student 4200 block of pine island road north of oakland park boulevard. 80 to 83 miles an hour. Todd police say he lost control of the car, jumped the curb and hit a mother and her two children finally a cement sign. In the 911 transcripts, a caller can be heard saying theres people hit, people with a stroller. Theres a baby on the ground, and the mother on the ground. Fouryearold Abdallah Staih was killed. Sevenyearold ahmad staih was injured, and their mother 37yearold natt al was critical injured after the natt the mother has a fractured skull, arm, neck where she was hospitalized fire lengthy period of time and a sevenmonthold ep baby hospitalized as well. Todd perez did stay on the scene and told Police Another car cut him off. Police say he was doing over 80 in a 40mileperhour zone. Reports were released.
