A 26yearold man is being held without bail tonight in the deadly shooting of two Police Officers this weekend in palm springs, california. The john felix is expected to be formally charged with two counts of murder later this week. He could face the death penalty. Police say felix shot three Police Officers after they responded to a disturbance call at the home. Officer jose vega and officer Lesley Zerebny died from their injuries. A fouryearold girl focus of a multistate amber alert is home safe. Her alleged kidnapper west hogs is now in custody. Authorities say hogs is a long time friend of Rebecca Lewis family. The little girl was taken from her home yesterday. A Security Guard at a memphis tennessee hospital noticed them in the parking lot and called authorities. Police say rebecca did not appear to be injured. Crews continue to make repairs to a train track after a Long Island Railroad train he derailed over the weekend. A 12 car commuter train and a train performing track maintenance sideswiped each other while traveling in the same direction just east of new york city. 33 people were injured. Investigators think human error may have caused the crash. Well, limited rail Service Resumed this morning at the Hoboken Terminal less than two weeks following that deadly crash of the new Jersey Transit train. The victim was taken to Einstein Medical Center for treatment. It is still unclear why he was shot. A man rescued from the Delaware River in south philadelphia is now recovering from hypothermia. Police tell action news the man was pulled from the water by the Police Marine unit then taken to the hospital. They are still trying to find out why he was in the water in the first place. New state funding will stretch the Schuylkill River trail even farther. 3 million will help redevelop two and a quarter miles of space along the river. This phase of the project will connect trails from the south of bartrams garden to 61st near passyunk avenue. However, the off ramp from 95 southbound to 11th street remains blocked there in wilmington because of another crash. And there was a crash in Mount Laurel Township along 38. Happened in the westbound lanes but eastbound a lane is blocked too so just 9 Miles Per Hour coming through moorestown by the mall. I would stay local on main street or even use 73 or 70. 38 is not a good stretch through Burlington County. Elsewhere in Burlington County along crash along monmouth road near province line road. Had a truck fire earlier this afternoon along the pennsylvania turnpike eastbound side. Its gone now but speeds are still just in the 20s coming east of norristown and watch out for a crash by the cvs along county line road at bustleton pike. So, quiet, it is not.
