From a west east direction well watch the activity break out. Future tracker 6 showing you 3 00 this afternoon we have a lot of scattered activity north and west of the i95 corridor, but when its this humid i would not be surprised to see something fire up ahead of 3 00 today. 6 00 in the evening we track the showers and storms and heavy rain is a big concern especially for areas from allentown and reading and lancaster and i would allow for activity into philadelphia and area into south jersey. That is why the Storm Prediction Center placed our region, this has just been updated, a slight risk for the region and now a moderate concern for allentown and the poconos. This is where i do think we could find rotation across the region north and east of philadelphia. Well talk about what to expect as far as the risk. Lightning is on the high side, heavy, strong downpours and strong winds and a moderate concern of finding large hail and an isolated risk of finding tornadoes, the best bet is north and east of philadelphia. Well, time has run out for the taj mahal in atlantic city. The citys main Casino Workers Union went on strike ahead of this busy Holiday Weekend. About 1,000 workers walked off the job at 6 00 this morning, now hundreds are manning the picket lines on the boardwalk at the heart of the conflict is the workers new contract. Health care is a main Sticking Point and the taj mahals officer is too short. We dont have pediatricians and doesnt sustain yourself either, its just basic. The union was able to strike a deal with four other casinos yesterday and talks between the union and the taj mahal are broken off and no further talks are scheduled. Two people are in the hospital this noon after being shot in a moving car overnight in philadelphias point breeze section. Authorities say that the driver was shot several times and the passenger was hit in the arm. They were moving when the shots were fired at them and they made it 500 feet before crashing into a parked car, both people are in serious condition and its not clear why they were targeted. Philadelphia police are searching for the man that opened fire on a womans shelter in the logan section. Police say that a man started following a woman in a riteaid store is it on windham avenue. The suspect continued to follow her as she walked home on north 13th street. Once she was inside the man fired three shots into the shelter through the door. Luckily nobody was hurt. More than a dozen drill instructors are under investigation for allegations of hazing after a 20yearold recruit died at the paris island training camp. Reporter he was a High School Valedictorian with dreams of one day joining the fbi, but just 11 days into the marine boot camp at paris island. He committed suicide. His mother and sister dont believe for a second he killed himself. I dont believe this. My son never do that no the marines say he jumped 40 feet to his death during training in march. His family believes he was hazed and they are asking the military to save all reports and Video Surveillance involving their son. I dont think everything we know today is out there. We are learn that the marine corps is looking into allegations, hazing and physical assault against 15 drill instructors in paris island since november. He was improperly placed in charge of recruits and a Battalion Commander was relieved of his duties. His Commanding Officer is relieved. So they are rocked within a single unit. But the question is did it spread to other parts of this training depot. They say they take every alligation of misconduct serious and will review each one carefully. They tell us that the safety of the recruits and the integrity of the recruit program is some of their top priorities. The 15 drill sergeants are kept away from recruits during this investigation. Law enforcement officers in a florida town stumbled upon what they call a ticking time bomb, a warehouse full of fireworks which happen to be illegal in that state. They had to evacuate nearby businesses as a precaution, they found stacks and stacks of fireworks, some going for as much as 500 a pop and many were professional grade, like those used in the big fireworks displays we see during celebrations. And setting off fireworks can be a blast but not following safety rules can lead to a lot of trouble.
