First were hearing from passengers who arrived here at 30th street station. They were bussed from North Carolina to washington, d. C. In washington they were put on another amtrak train and they arrived late last night. My gosh its been some experience. I mean, we were just falling asleep comfortably on amtrak which ive been riding on for about 20 years and all of a sudden you hear a squeak and then just a crash and i got thrown forward a little bit and its like nobody knows whats happening. Oh, my god. Oh my god oh reporter nora travis describing the impact from inside the train when this amtrak locomotive sliced through an oversized tractortrailer stalled on the tracks near halifax, North Carolina. Travis one of several passengers from the ill fated train arriving at 30th street late last night. Jackman was in the fourth car. Hes from malvern. It was just a big jolt. Right before the impact we sort of heard the brakes sort of squealing and then once we hit, of course, then it was a thrust, you know, great momentum so it was pretty scary. Reporter well, the investigation into how this happened is going to be an interesting one. Apparently the oversized tractortrailer reportedly had trouble navigating a left hand turn onto those tracks. It was large modular building Something Like 160 feet, the combination of tractor and trailer in this particular case. It was apparently under active escort by police t a critical question is going to be were the police in contact with amtrak dispatch at the time. Chopper 6 was over the scene of this deadly double shooting in north philadelphia. It happened on the 1200 block of rush street yesterday afternoon. The second victim is in critical condition. No word yet on suspects or a motive. Police in camden are looking for the man involved in a luring attempt that happened over the weekend. Three girls were approached while walking on the 700 block of ferry avenue on saturday. The man demanded they get into his car. The girls refused and threatened to call police before the man drove away. The bearded suspect was driving a late model four door dodge wagon and had new jersey plates c6 6chh. And a family is asking for help finding a missing woman from Montgomery County. 20yearold Deidre Magolon hasnt been seen since she left her Upper Providence home friday. She left in her sisters car but that vehicle was found abandoned on route 4 22 in upper merion. Police are following leads that magolon may have hitchhiked after experience something car trouble. Developing from the overnight the u. S. Ambassador to south korea is out of the hospital having recovered from that violent knife attack last week. The jury now has the case in the shooting of a Philadelphia Police officer. Prosecutors say eric torres shot officer Edward Davies during a struggle inside a corner store in the feltonville section of the city back in august of 2013. Officer davies survived and testified about the incident. Hes still recovering from his wounds. Torres is charged with attempted murder but his defense argues the shooting was actually an accident that happened during the struggle. Happening today, the nfls Free Agency Period begins at 4 00 p.
