Overnight construction as well lots of it along 95 and theyre still wrapping up both ways between girard and the vine. Overnight work that blocked the off ramp from the northbound side to cottman avenue has cleared and there were no overnight closures on the vine street expressway itself but we had a crash involving a Police Cruiser in southwest philadelphia. Bartram avenue still blocked at holstein. Maybe stick with lindbergh boulevard or 291 toward the platt bridge as some alternates. Also an overturn vehicle crash this morning in collegeville along 29 at park avenue. Still overnight construction on the pennsylvania turnpike westbound side past morgantown. Left lane out of commission but you can see its not impacting speeds a whole lot. And in Burlington County if youre traveling between mount laurel and southampton watch out for work again this morning along 38 between marter avenue and 206. New this morning, a car crashed into a canal Montgomery County and it took a water rescue crew to save a person trapped in the wreckage. The car turned over in the water along the 400 block of tow path road in upper providence. The person rescued was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive. Two other people in the car managed to make it out on their own. A threeyearold boy is in extremely Critical Condition this morning. He was hit by a car in philadelphias logan section. The driver did stop but was soon involved in an altercation there at the scene. Lets go on over to action News Reporter erin ohearn, shes live at Saint Christophers Hospital. Shes got latest. Reporter good morning, tam and that threeyearold at three years old, toddlers have very tiny but they are very quick and apparently this threeyearold darted out into the street and that is when he was struck by a car. Right now hes at Saint Christophers Hospital in very Critical Condition. But its what happened after he was struck that added to the tragedy. Hes kind of shooken up. He was. He was really shooken up. He was scared. I gets, you know, the little boy was real little. He said i didnt really see him, im sorry. Reporter police say the driver of this gray mazda hatchback immediately stopped after striking a threeyearold boy in the citys logan section last night. I turned back around. I seen a little boy going under the car. Reporter police say the bill little boy landed beneath this red dodge durango. He was transferred from einstein to saint christophers. A group of witnesses put him in another vehicle until police arrived. They say the driver appeared remorseful and rattled. In this case this guy, it was an accident, he did the right thing, he stopped but was assaulted by unknown persons. He was out of the car and he was actually some of the neighbors came to his rescue and placed him inside their vehicle until police arrived. Reporter now, witnesses themselves seemed very shaken by the accident. They spent a lot of time couldnt so long each other. Again, that threeyearold little boy that neighbors identify as donnell banks is here at saint christophers in very Critical Condition. The action cam was at the Extended Stay Hotel along the 8800 block of bartram avenue. Shortly after 9 p. M. , two men at least one carrying a gun demanded money from the front desk. After getting a wad of cash the men took off. Fortunately no one was hurt. It is now 5 05 and a bucks county volunteer firefighter is being held on 2 million bail after police say he assaulted a young woman. Police say 21yearold Shane Mcmichael forced his way into the bensalem township home of a 17yearold girl and then beat and choked her. The victim recognized her attacker. Police say the volunteer firefighter was you actually dressed in all black with a mask covering his face. But when the teen said his name, he fled. Police claim mcmichael has confessed and has been suspended from the cornwells fire company. The fbi and Philadelphia Police are on the hunt for this woman who they say held up a Center City Td Bank branch on saturday afternoon. Investigators released these surveillance photos of a suspect who handled a demand note to the teller inside the 19th and market location. No one was hurt. Happening today, governor Chris Christie has ordered all flags in new jersey be lowered to halfstaff to mourn the victims of last weeks shooting in oregon.
