In some suburbs were going to be a little bit cooler than this but i expect no worse than mid to upper 60s across most of the region at 3 oclock and in the 50s as polls start to get closer to closing later in the evening. Today is your first commute where we have your buses your trolleys your subways all back to normal. And you can expect more normal delays with Regional Rails. We are already seeing delays. Paoli thorndale we have a train thats 20 minutes late and this is new information coming in. The trenton line also a train thats 10 minutes late. So its not too bad but you want to expect problems still with the Regional Rails. A 10 to 20 minute delay is usually normal for Regional Rails. We had an accident on the schuylkill expressway was approaching the boulevard westbound as you head towards city avenue. Just cleared a second ago so an accident kind of came in popped up very quickly and were looking live on the boulevard right now past the schuylkill and you can see traffic moving nicely. Overnight construction has cleared. We have an accident on the boulevard at seventh street involving a tractortrailer so look for that accident and stay to the inner drive instead of the outer drive on the boulevard. Also all around the Independence Mall area, all of those closures that were in place for last nights rally theyve all cleared so you can at least drive through the city a little better matt and tam. Were here this morning at Grace Epiphany Episcopal Church in mount airy one of the many polling places across the city. With voting imminent last night candidates were out making their final campaign stops. Both major candidates hit pennsylvania and Hillary Clinton was here in that philadelphia before heading to North Carolina for a midnight rally. Tens of thousands of people packed Independence Mall last night as clinton made her final push to pennsylvania voters and she wasnt alone on that stage. President obama, and the first lady were there, husband bill clinton and daughter chelsea attended, jon bon jovi performed as did Bruce Springsteen so a lot of star power there. These candidates want pennsylvania to fall in their favor and are urging their supporters to get out and vote today. Lets get out and vote philadelphia tomorrow. Lets make history together. Pennsylvania voters will also elect a state treasurer and state Auditor General in addition to 18 members of congress. Voters in new jersey will be asked if gambling should be expanded in the garden state for the First Time SinceAtlantic City casinos were approved 40 years ago. The referendum asks residents whether to expand gambling to two counties in north jersey. Another asks whether to dedicate 100 percent of revenue raised by that new state gas tax hike to the Transportation Trust fund. Voters in delaware will elect a new governor, a Lieutenant Governor and a new representative in the u. S. House. Delaware only has one. The action cam was there as she was wheeled out on a stretcher for smoke inhalation. Flames broke out in the basement on the 1700 block of north 42nd street. The fire quickly spread up to apartments in the converted row home. At least four other people are also displaced. And septas buses trolleys and subways are expected to be back to full and normal operations for this mornings commute. Septa and the Union Representing about 4700 transit workers announced a tentative agreement before day break yesterday. The set. For your poll opening temperature in pennsylvania of course polls open at 7 00 and an average temperature probably about 38 degrees, a little milder than that in philadelphia and a little cooler in some of the outlying suburbs. New jersey of course is opening up at 6 00 in the morning pretty quickly down the pike here and an average temperature of about 35 degrees there. And in delaware 37 degrees. So, cold to start out but not staying that way. By lunchtime well be up to 60 in the lehigh valley, 68 for a high. A mix of clouds and sun there. Down the shore a little cooler, an afternoon high of 67 degrees, still in the low 60s by lunchtime. Very nice. And in philadelphia, well go for a high of 69 degrees. I expect to be at 62 in philadelphia by lunchtime, 69 around 3 oclock, so a great afternoon for voting and even this evening low 60s by dinnertime and as the polls are wrapping up at 8 oclock tonight probably down into the upper to mid50s across the region. 50 degrees is your overnight low. It happened along the 700 block of north preston street last night. Police say the womans boyfriend stabbed the pair while he was high on narcotics. He is now in custody. The 46yearold woman and her son are in critical but stable condition. Happening today jurors will begin deliberating the fate of justin harris. The atlanta area father is accused of intentionally leaving his twoyearold son in the back of a hot car to die. Harris defense attorney painted him as clueless and forgetful. Prosecutors claim harris was leading a double life messaging teenaged girls online, cheating on his wife and that the child got in the way. Actors Angelina Jolie and brad pitt seems they have reached a custody agreement in regards to their six children. A rep for the actress sales the agreement was reached more than a week ago. It calls for the children to remain in jolie pitts custody with pitt continuing to receive visits. Pitt had first fought this arrangement asking for a court to grant joints custody after jolie surprised him with her filing for divorce and her request for sole custody back in september. Boston celtics forward jalen brown and rapper designer were scheduled to meet fans at the cambridge side galleria mall last night.
