The good news this afternoon is that the steadiest and heaviest of that rain is lifting to the northern and east. Kent county, delaware, 4 to 7 inches and south of our region, 7 to 12 inches of precipitation and the heaviest is lifting to the north and east. And a storm warning stays up until 2 30 this afternoon. For dover and river view and greenwood, they have seen 8 inches or higher and the flood watch in our region has since expired. With the clouds and moisture and the constantly northeasterly win its a cool day today. 60 in philadelphia, 50 at the poconos and cape may 67 and upper 50s to the west in lancaster. Winds are an issue not as blustery as they have been. A gust of 25 Miles Per Hour in beach haven and gusting as high as 30 Miles Per Hour in dover and 29 Miles Per Hour in the poconos. In new jersey federal investigators are sifting through a train crash to determine why it smashed into a strain station. They have recovered the black box and will examine it today. Reporter rick there is so much damage to the station here in hoboken, that ntsb investigators can not get to all the train cars on this first full day of the investigation. The train was not slowing down and i got confused but when i realized what happened we were already through the platform. One of the busiest commuter hubs. Ntsb found a data recorder in the location locomotive. And cameras, because they are hard to get to because part of the roof collapsed in the crash. A huge gathering of mourners are here at Saint Elizabeth church today for firefighter Christopher Leach along with senior firefighter gary fickes were killed when they went into a burning house. Fellow firefighters are here from all over wilmington and delaware and as far away as boston. He was a good man. I never met him personally but i think just by the turnout here in wilmington, he was a respected and honored man and he died doing what he loved to do. Its a sad day. But it makes you feel awkward to look behind you and see a sea of blue. They are here to celebrate them the great life of a passionate firefighter and an even better dad and a great friend. This afternoon in hockessin there say public viewing for gary fickes followed by a private ceremony for family, friends and wilmington firefighters only. As for the fire, a resident of the house on lake view road. Beatrice fana ruiz is charged with first degree murder, arson and related charges.
