However, springlike thunderstorms are already popping up. Some parts of the viewing area warnings this afternoon. The one thing we have going for us is that that is typically the time that things begin to cool down so the instability might not be as great as if the system was coming through right now. There are a few showers that are showing up in Johnston County and also northern wake county and a few just between rocky mount and wilson but nothing terribly exciting at the moment.
