Along with some well wishers and citizens who are watching this play out, their version of great expectations. Kate middleton will give birth to the fourth in line to the throne. Prince william is by her side this morning, we hear waiting for the birth of their second child. The couple says that they dont know if the baby is a boy or a girl. Kensington palace says the birth will be announced in a mod way. Theyre going to do it on twitter and instagram. Social media is the thing. You announce your presidency, your babies. Visibility under a mile so use your low beams. Might want to slow down there. Temperatures in the 40s and low 50s. Low 50s with the fog burning off by 9 00. And into the low 60s by 11 00. Highs later on today, how about low to mid70s. I could give you the 100 dry forecast but ill give you the 99 . One or two random showers possible today. Tomorrow looks better than this though. Details coming up. So youre saying theres a chance. Theres always a chance. Thanks chuck. More than a dozen people arrested in baltimore as the city marched for freddie gray. Police arrested 15 protesters for violating the citys 10 00 p. M. Curfew. Baltimore police say theyre no longer on tactical alert but the citywide curfew will stay in effect through the weekend. All protests remained peaceful since the announcement grays death has been named a homicide. The 25yearold became critically hurt when in Police Custody and later died. All Police Officers involved in his death are facing criminal charges. Take a look at their mug shots on the screen. Cesar goodson on the left is facing the most serious charge of Second Degree murder. He was driving the police van that was carrying gray when he suffered that spinal injury. Then we have three others charged with involuntary manslaughter. They include Garrett Miller and edward nero here on the top row. They are all charged with assault. All bonded out of jail last night. Today in baltimore protesters plan to march against police pru brutality. At noon they will start marching towards city hall. A rally will follow the march at 2 00 p. M. And the mood throughout the city has changed from tense to celebratory. Darcy spencer spoke to people about what the criminal charges mean for baltimore. Reporter the celebrations continued. At pennsylvania and north avenue ryethe scene of the riots on monday the mood has changed. After these Police Officers were charged in connection with the death of freddie gray. Conviction. Thats what were looking for. Reporter earlier in the day, demonstrators took to the streets when news spread of the arrests. We are finally getting somewhere. And like they say, its not a black thing, its not a white thing. This is an american thing. Reporter but many of the demonstrators are not fully satisfied that the officers are charged. They want to see convictions. Its not really time for a celebration. Its time for now to become more committed and follow through. Reporter this baltimore man carried his young daughter as he marched. Shes asking questions about why this happened. We had to tell her the Police Killed a man for no reason. Reporter many uplifted by the number of demonstrators and hope for change. It is a great step in the right direction for them to even be charged. So i mean, we just hope for the best. Reporter darcy spencer, news4 today. And Police Arrested freddie gray nearly three weeks ago for carrying a knife. Baltimore states Attorney Says gray never should have been arrested. Once inside the Police Transport van, the officers failed to keep him safe. The knife was not a switchblade and is lawful under maryland law. He was not secured by a seat belt in the wagon. The Police Officers union fired back at the decision to charge those officers. Theyre calling for an independent prosecutor to review the evidence. No officer injured mr. Gray caused harm to mr. Gray and they are truly saddened by his death. We have grave concerns about the fairness and integrity of the prosecution. The central part of this investigation was freddie grays transportation to that police station. For a detailed timeline of that ride open the nbc washington app on your phone. This Morning Police need your help solving a triple shooting in Prince Georges County. It happened in capital heights. Three men were shot there. One is in critical condition. The other two expected to be okay. Police say this was not a random attack. If you have any information, call Prince Georges County police. And today lets take a live look at Dulles Airport this morning. In just a few hours more than 100 volunteers will take part in an emergency exercise at the airport. The exercise is designed to help in responding to a large scale plane crash. The drill and it is only a drill will run from 8 30 to noon. Its business as usual for passengers today. If you use yellow line huntington and eisenhower stations will be closed this weekend. There are also be delays on the red, green and orange lines. Jenner was involved in a multicar crash on the Pacific Coast highway back in february. Jenner rear ended a lexus that crossed into oncoming traffic. That car was hit head on killing the driver. Now that womans stepchildren are suing jenner for wrongful death. There are no specific details on the suit. B. B. King is waking nup hospice care. He says hes at his home in las vegas. Members of both families have been informed and they are just delighted with the news. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well. Well right now crews are preparing to search through the rubble following a parking garage collapse at the watergate building in the district. Teams worked through the night to make sure the structure is safe so search crews can search for possible victims. Jackie bensen reports. Reporter tractortrailer loads of material brought in to shore up the damaged building. The work will continue until the multistory parking garage is stable enough for firefighters to enter and search for a possible victim. This photo taken a few minutes after the collapse shows the roof of the garage which had dirt piled on it as part of a landscaping project under construction. Workers described how a roughly 40 by 40 foot section of the garage pancaked down through the garage. Photos show dozens of vehicles that were damaged by the tons of falling concrete. Part of the complex was evacuated while the damage was assessed. Two construction workers received minor injuries. Officials say all of them are accounted for. But the garage is open to the public creating the possibility that if there is a fatality it may be a parking customer. Many arrived after work to find they need an alternate route home. The operation has now transitioned from search and rescue to a recovery operation. Reporter Jackie Bensen news4. Investigators are trying to figure out what caused the collapse. Theyre focusing on the large amount of dirt on the roof of the garage. Capital Police Responding to a report that guns were left in the building bathrooms. There are reports of three incidents alone this year. In one incident a young boy found a loaded gun in speaker boehners suite. A Police Spokesperson says the report should not have been released to the public but the spokesperson also says they take rule breaches very seriously. The House Committee called the incidents unacceptable and demanded more information from police. There are changes to your Summer Vacation before it starts. You wont be able to smoke on the ocean front. The smoking ban went into effect yesterday. This new rule doesnt just apply to cigarettes. You cant have cigars pipes, even ecigarettes. Those girls were good. All of them. They were no joke. As someone who played softball its funny because people think its so easy to pitch and even to do the underhand pitch. But a lot of control and discipline goes into that. Ive tried. Ive been invited to some of the softball games, ball went by me every time. Three pitches and i was out. Right now Virginia State police need your help finding a missing 2yearold boy. Police say jamison linberrypollard may be in danger. He was last seen on friday with his father. Police want to hear from you if you have information. Police are trying to figure out how a boy who was inside a car was cut. It happened just before 6 00 p. M. Last night at the Addison Plaza shopping center. This is in tap capital heights. He is in serious condition. We are working to find out more about this case right now. Freddie grays family says the homicide ruling is the first step toward getting justice. During a press conference the familys attorney thanked the states attorney and her team for their unprecedented courage. Freddie grays stepfather says there must be peace in the pursuit of justice for his son. Please dont come at all. The last thing that freddie would want is to see the hardworking people of baltimore lose their jobs and businesses because of his death. And the family says they were in shock but satisfied when they heard about the charges. The popular Fund Raising Site go fund me has disallowed contributions for the officers charged with freddie grays death. Yesterday the Baltimore Police union opened an account to raise the legal funds for the six officers charged. Go fund me quickly removed that account. The sites spokesperson released a statement saying quote, go fund me cannot be used to benefit those who are charged with serious violations of the law, end quote. States attorney Marilyn Mosby is gearing up for the toughest case of her career. Just four months on the job, she decided to charge the officers in freddie grays death. Kristen welker spoke with the 35yearold about the personal and professional challenges that lie ahead. Reporter when Baltimore States attorney Marilyn Mosby stepped into the spotlight, she stood on the shoulders of a long line of law enforcement. Her mother father grandfather a line of Police Officers and her decision to follow them. You spoke to your mom today. I did. Reporter what did she say to you . She said she was proud of me. Reporter at 35 she is the youngest chief prosecutor of a major American City but her age has never stopped her. And today she took on her critics. The fraternal order of police. Called on her to step aside and appoint an independent special prosecutor. Why not appoint an independent prosecutor . My husband is a Public Servant and so am i. He makes the laws. I enforce them. There is no conflict of interest. Reporter and mosby insisted even though people have been protesting the death for days she felt no pressure to rush to judgment. Im a prosecutor. My job is to follow the facts and apply them to the elements of the law. Reporter but this mother of two young girls says she does feel the trust is broken between the community and police. And that fueled the violent night of protests earlier this week. As a mom i was very concerned. This was happening right outside my door. Reporter mosby says now shes focused on letting the Legal Process play out and hopes this moment will help right decades of wrongs. So a concussion does not necessarily mean a knockout. A concussion means a brain injury from the impact where you have some changes afterwards. Reporter doctors have more info than ever though the longterm effects arent entirely clear. Sometimes the jaw being rattled from the side is what leads to the knockout. Reporter when you see that neck snap when you see the boxer stagger, it may mean a concussion but not a knockout. There were the showers late yesterday evening across parts of maryland and west virginia. Those dried up after about 11 00. Skies are for the most part going from partly cloudy to mostly clear at this time. Some of these midlevel clouds may drift in and dim out the blue sky a touch. Rain chances today, very very small indeed. No organized rain chance anywhere on the eastern seaboard for us. The only chance we have for a shower today, might be down in parts of Southern Maryland.
