You can see pretty good sized limbs landing in the roadways around the palmyra moons pal building. Now, to Atlantic City. This fastmoving storm doing damage in Atlantic County where thousands there are still without power and this partial roof collapse in Atlantic City Apartment Building. This is near Saint James Place and the boardwalk. Scary situation there. Forced the evacuation of entire building. Kathy orr saying wind speeds down there approaching 60 miles an hour down the shore. Traveling east on stuart avenue, wyoming avenue in lansdowne a firefighter caught this video. They couldnt put the fire out until peco shut off the power. Fortunately the guy driving the vehicle got out safely and was not hurt. Heavy winds also toppling trees in north philadelphia. This huge one came crashing down around noon today along the 100 block of levick street. Blocking the entire street. Luckily no one was hurt and no homes or cars were hit. The quickmoving storms seemed to catch lot of people out and about by surprise. That was a constant sight around the area today. On the 1500 block of rodman street this tree landed on top of this audi and brought down wires in the process. And these fastmoving storms have moved well offshore into new york and new england and we had a few lingering late this afternoon but all is clearing out across the Delaware Valley. We had warm air at the surface. And cold air a lot of moving from the northwest i call these northwestern events and little bit of a trough created lift in the atmosphere and thats why we saw the storms develop and moving through. Look at the temperatures going up and down today. We reached a peak of 73 degrees at 11am and the storms moved through philadelphia. We dropped 15 degrees to 58. And right now, were back up to 65 degrees. Fast and furious these storms. 64 right now in pottstown. 54 in the poconos. 70 in dover. We recovered to 66 degrees in millville. Right now were seeing those winds out of the northwest gusting to 36 miles an hour in reading that is almost a Tropical Storm force gust. Gusting to 30 miles an hour in philadelphia. 33 in wilmington. Gusting to 38 miles an hour at the Atlantic City airport. So coming up well talk about more wind in the forecast. Reporter i did spoke with witness dawn and she heard several gunshots ton night we know police are saying this victim died from six bullet wounds. They found him dead in the drive through. The drive through back open at mcdonalds on the 200 block of west main street after police say a 24yearold man was gunned down outside the fast food joint around 11 3 11 30 tuesday night. Im glad my daughter is alive and thats really all i care about. Arriving Norristown Police found the young man dead outside the drive threw lane. Authorities have not said whether the gunman or the victim were mcdonalds customers. Police in delaware looking for a man who exposed himself to woman outside a wal mart store it happened last thursday morning around 3 30 a. M. At the wal mart on jerome drive in chest wall. Police say the man follow add woman out of the store and exposed himself. Police say 20 minutes earlier he put his hands on another woman inside the store but was told to keep his hands to himself. New tonight, the corruption trial against pennsylvania congressman chaka fattah is nearing its end. After defense rested its case today. Former governor ed rendell also testified today in defense of a lobbyist on trial with fattah. Tonight were hearing from the deputy who helped stop an attempted kidnapping all caught on video. Terrifying incident was caught at a tampa area dollar store yesterday. Investigators say that suspect craig bow nel la grabbed a 13yearold girl from an eye as her mother tried to keep her from being dragged. He eventually let go, but a store manager alerted an off duty deputy who was just outsi outside. The deputy says he just initially thought the commotion was all about shoplifting. Once he started yelling and like i said i know him perso personally, i knew his demeanor was off, so i new something was going on. Then when he said kidnapping i was kind of, you know, in a little bit of should know there because its broad daylight. The deputy blocked his car and arrested him. The suspect is now facing charges of child abuse and kidnapping. The backlash over the sentencing of a former stanford swimmers rape conviction boiled over into act tim. Stanford law professor is now spearheading an effort to have the judge in that rape case recalled. Judge per ski sentence in the, um, brock turner case was both wrong and dangerous and makes women both at stanford and other colleges less safe. That sentence six months in jail for raping a drunk passed out coed on the stanford campus set off a fire storm against judge aaron per ski. The judge said he was following recommendations of Probation Department and cited turners clean record in handing down what many say saulie light sentence. Those stiff west northwesterly winds will continue still breezy during the day tomorrow but we slowly warm it up to about 75. The normal high for this time of year is 80 degrees.
