The as we were talking to the director earlier he said the weather is nice, right now, you know, unusual for december but these folks still dont have anywhere to go and this is where they are getting their hot breakfast, later christmas lunch here. And were joined by the director of sunday brunch rescue mission dave mcmilan. Tell us first of all what this tells but the the true meaning of christmas that you have volunteers here spending your time here on Christmas Day to serve people staying here. Certainly many people come out and help on Christmas Day and we are thankful for that. We use volunteers year round because need is year round too. We are very thankful to have this time today, on christmas, and celebrating the birth of christ and just what that means to a persons life who change, and cap take place if they have a relationship with jesus christ what does it mean for folks staying here, obviously they are spending time, you dont have anywhere else to go and it is christmas. They are with friend and people care about them. Certainly last tonight we had 160 people staying with us that didnt have anywhere else to go and as we opened up our doors there were people coming off the streets to have breakfast with us. We do not, we use powder sugar, 10x sugar, whatever you want to call it. Why do you do that. It adds a sweetness to the cookie, it add brownness on to the edges which is a nice touch for a sugar cookie or short bread cookie because it can be either or and it can just not make the cookie dry out. For people who are at home right now, and by the way, Merry Christmas, we cannot say that enough. Yes, Merry Christmas. You only need a couple ingredient to make straight icing. 10x sugar and milk. Is that it. Umhmm. One of the things we do at my house we have a great Christmas Eve party, obviously, it is kind of epic, you should come next year. Yes. People say business coti and you say they are cool but easy to kick it up a notch. This is something you can totally do christmas take with the kid if you want to have an activity. Okay. We have melting pots going here. Really. You want to do that ahead of time. Can i use my microwave for this. You can, we dont like to. Heres another great tip if you have pastry bags and put chocolate chips into them and melt them in hot water. Okay. Reallies i for kids just to hand them a pastry bag. I love thaw are using these Water Bottles because a at my house we have 42 of them. Through go, now you know what to do with them now. Right. But in the third letter santa might be a little more receptive. It says my presence will be given to me by my family. Oh.
