The parents of a missing southern virginia teenager are pleading for her safe return. 16yearold aysia Monique Lewis has not been seen since she left Christiansburg High School monday. Hes embroiled in a legal fight over whats considered to be the recovery of the largest collection of lost gold in american history. Heres why thompson was on the run for years. Reporter u. S. Marshals found Tommy Thompson and his reported girl friend hiding out at their suite in this hilton hotel in west boca raton. They did not resist arrest. A senior investigator for the u. S. Marshals. Reporter thompson is wanted in ohio for skipping out on a hearing in a lawsuit brought by his investors. Thompson had raised nearly 13 million from 161 people, defined the wreckage of the ss Central America also knowns the ship of gold. It sank off the coast of South Carolina in 1857 during a hurricane. Its believed the ship was carrying as much as 21 tons of gold at the time.
