And they just spoke with the residents with the latest on the future of their homes. So what did you hear . Reporter well the meeting wrapped up an hour ago between homeowners and the county officials here and their offices. As we thought this meeting might produce some new suggestions, some new ideas to stabilize the landslides, in getting people back with their homes as we thought it might be a better idea of what direction the county will ultimately go in and win and that none of that would happen here today. But what they did talk about were the existing options that were on the table to try to get a little more clarity in terms of what they are working with as several options were floated on throughout the county and throughout the summer. What they would basically come down to is whether or not to stabilize that landslide and keep people in their houses or buy them out and condemn the houses or a combination of those two. Now the challenge in all of this is how you pay for it as it will not be easy as some of the options, they are approving to be impossible. The most recent option was pitched last week costing about 15 million as they would purchase and condemn about six of the 28 houses that are in jeopardy as they would stabilize the land and then they would allow the remaining 22 homeowners to return home. Now, after the roughly six months that it would take to stabilize the landslide. Now, of those 15 million, they say they could put up 11 million, but no more. Whatever they end up doing here that they say they only have 11 million to work with. And that they will be seeking the rest of the state, the feds, really anywhere else, although that it is not looking likely at that moment. But to some that last option, it seems like sort of a compromise to others, not so much. That most of them made it clear last week that they would not settle for anything less than allowing everyone to return home. That is what lead them to this meeting as we are told from here that the county, as well as the residents that will need to move forward by really trying to tap every resource that they can to try to come up with some more funding. And that they would continue to continue with the state, although that theywould keep saying that it is not looking very likely as it seems like they are not trying to get their hopes up. Remember, that 11 million is what they would need to work with at that moment to figure out that option with that 11 million forward going.
