Transocean reaches $8.9 billion in backlog with two new offshore drilling contracts

Transocean's Deepwater Asgard was awarded a 365-day contract extension in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico at a rate of $505,000. Additionally, a customer exercised a three-well option in Angola for the Deepwater Skyros at a rate of $400,000.
