University Grants Commission: Unrecognised get-from-India foreign degrees are not valid, UGC says

According to the regulations, no foreign higher education institution can offer a programme in India without receiving the Commission's approval. They additionally state that no programmes offered by HEIs shall be offered under a franchising agreement, and that the UGC will not acknowledge any such programmes.
